I'm going to post my review for the last 2 times I have had delivery. The last time I ordered, it took over 2 and a half hours for my pizza to be delivered. I called and they said they were backed up. When I placed my order they did not tell me how long it would take, which I understand things change as calls come in. All and all I feel like I should of been compensated some how with an extra cheese bread order thrown in for the inconvenience of the long wait but they didn't. Nor did I ask, fine. Took my food and immediately noticed the soggy boxes. The pizza was soggy, not cooked and pizza was gross, all my wings were spicy (which was not what I ordered), and cheesy garlic bread was just cheese no garlic. Of course I noticed all this as I tried to pallet this gross food. Wings were freezing cold like they were sitting out until my pizza was made. Called to complain. Asked for a manager. A women gets on the phone and immediately she was rude and not helpful. I told her I can't eat this and she said that sucks for you and I told her I want a refund. She laughed at me and said fine I'll have a driver on the way right now. I explained that I was quarantining as I was covid positive on my last few days. She said she didn't care and will send a driver to get the food. So I repeated "you're willing to put your driver at risk because you're being petty and you want the old disgusting pizza back?" She then in turn said yes. I couldn't believe the driver actually showed up AND TOOK MY FOOD BACK! Wow. Just wow. Instead of picking my food up at the store, I did the responsibly thing and paid more for delivery. Don't support this business. I surely will be calling for the owner in the morning to explain this. The delivery driver was nice and professional. However, our two liter soda had been forgotten at the shop. The garlic cheese bread was thin and the amount of cheese made it soggy. It was delicious for a snack after smoking some cannabis, but not the best. Thankfully it's a cheap order! Pizza was a bit undercooked and the sauce was bland. Next time I would order thin crust. We ordered a medium mushroom and a large chicken tikka. Both pizzas were the same size when they arrived(?). The mushroom was better after a few minutes in the oven. The chicken tikka was... confusing. It was a very light tikka sauce and the chicken didn't seem to have been cooked in it. There were more onions than sauce and there were also jalapeños for some reason. I think I would prefer a more simple version and then I could add more toppings if I wanted. I'm still interested to try the butter chicken pizza, and I will likely order from here again to see if they improve. Again, I have to stress how lucky I am when it comes living close to some really good businesses. This place is across the street from my neighborhood, and I have to say, they have some of the best pizza crust I have ever had. LOVE IT. I was having one of those end-of-the-week lazy Fridays where I just wanted to treat myself and zone out in from of some Netflix. This place was close enough, and after checking out the pics and menu on Yelp, I decided to give it a try. I've gotten the Chicago special twice now and I have to say it is my new favorite pizza spot. I have yet to try their signature deep dish pizzas, but hey, I have time. I love Chicago Pizza; when I'm home and craving delivery, this is my go-to place for pizza. They always say your pizza will arrive within 45 to 50 minutes but I've always found them delivering it a bit ahead of schedule, which is perfectly ok with me. The sooner its here, the sooner its in my tummy, and the sooner my stomach stops rumbling. I tend to get the special, two large pizzas and a two liter soda for like twenty bucks. The pizza is delicious here, with ample amounts of toppings and a chewy, crisp dough. I like that their tomato sauce isn't too sweet like a lot of places but not too garlicky either. Everything tastes great and the pepperoni is always crispy, just the way I like it. They don't skimp on the cheese either. I've never eaten inside the place but from the outside it looks pretty tiny, but I've never had a problem with delivery the many times I've ordered from here. This pizza is incredible. Try their vegetarian deep dish, the handmade dough makes amazing chewy and flavorful crust. Their ranch is amazing, if you are inclined to dip. Ordered a Chicken Tikka Masala pizza through the Grubhub app. I got the pizza, opened it up and immediately called the store, and told her that my order was wrong. Pizza didn't look anything like Chicken Tikka Masala. Looked like a regular green pepper and onion pizza. Was told by the woman answering that she would contact the driver. I waited ten minutes and called back. The same woman answering was so rude. She never called me back and was clearly annoyed by the fact that I thought I got the wrong pizza. This used to be my favorite pizza spot, but not so much anymore. I ordered the vegetarian pizza with extra pineapples, 2 salads, mozzarella sticks, and the cheesy bread. I requested a total of 4 sides of ranch (because im a dipper) and a total of 3 marinara sauces for the cheese bread and mozzarella sticks. The delivery guy was a sweetheart as they usually are, the pizza was tasty although there was hardly any pineapple on it and the salads were tiny but good enough. The mozzarella sticks were hard and the ranch dressing was disgusting. I only received one ranch dressing but after tasting it I was glad they ignored my request for extra. I picked up a Medium size Combination pizza. I rate it a 4 star for taste, but I worry about the quality and cleanliness about this place. The price are fair you get tons of toppings. It is not ridiculous to the point where its overwhelming but you do not feel that you are being skimped out. The pizza is cooked well and taste good. There is something to be concern of that I should mention, I had a serious stomach ache and a couple trips to the toilet for a day. Not too bad but just something to note. The cleanliness and the hygiene of this place concerns me. The lady does not wear gloves, she walks in and out of the back room (kitchen) and goes through the the cash and coins with her bare hands. The calculator that is being used in the front is filthy. And yes, this is used as well without gloves! Because of this I may probably not come back. Okay... It seems that folks either love this place to hate it..!! I'm here to tell you that there is nothing wrong with this pizza. I'm only coming in the middle at a 3 star because well.... I've had some pretty awesome pizzas...!!! We got the Chicago Supreme THIN CRUST, which comes with Peroni, mushrooms, bell peppers and green onions, so the menu states... There were olives on there too and I love those, so that was cool.... We added Italian sausage and ground beef (that of course was because of that meat lover hubby of mine. I would have been happy with the veggie.. =) Some have stated that their thin crust is like 2" thick...! Well I checked it out and although the "thin" crust wasn't your typical thin... It was in fact thinner..!! It was all the toppings we added that made it so thick! To sum it up... If you are feeling like eating pizza and don't want to drive out some place, choose Chicago Pizza.... We have no other half decent pizza places in the San Leandro area.. Found this place off yelp when we were driving home from Ikea to Hayward and wanted quick takeout. We called about 15 mins away to place our order, and the timing was perfect. Pizza was good. Decent crust, lots of toppings (I'm a toppings girl), and nice and filling. We got a medium veggie for 16.99$ for the two of us, paired it with a salad from our fridge, and still probably had 3 big slices leftover. Done deal. We haven't tried many pizza places around here (we usually do something frozen then add our own toppings) but this place was pretty awesome.
