This group is unique where they're great communicators, effective problem solvers, task oriented, and genuinely nice people. I had them add clean out valves to a tankless and they were flawless throughout the process. Jake made sure all the right parts were used and lined up a great technician who did a great job on the install. They troubleshoot and are effective. The technician, Jimmy, stuck around and mentioned when he turned on the water he heard what he recognized as high water pressure in the pipes and to check the water pressure regulator on the unit. The condo shared this and we found out this is in fact an issue the HOA was having with the entire building. They have someone replacing it now but the fact that after the job was done Jimmy mentioned what he felt wasn't right, was awesome. You'd be surprised how many plumbers get in, do the thing, and bounce. Or try and upsell you on stuff, they seemed to be in it to make sure it's right. I truly appreciate that. I reached out to a bunch of companies and went with the cheapest (not Cali Rooter and Plumbing) since I figured they'd all be doing the same thing and I didn't expect them to find anything. Well, to my unpleasant surprise, they told me that I needed a new sewer pipe from my property to the street. Despite the fact that the entire plumbing system had been overhauled five years earlier as part of an extensive renovation and all the new plumbing was okay, they had connected everything to the original pipe from the 1940's. They showed me some blockage that was already happening and said that if I didn't replace the pipe I could have an issue with water backing up into the house, causing damage. Given that this was no longer just a sewer scope, I did some more research and based on reviews, asked Cali Rooter for a second opinion. They came out first thing the following morning (like 10 hours later) and told me that I not only needed to repair the sewer pipe, but I also had to get a liner. They suggested that the other company was either negligent, or knew that I needed the liner and was going to wait until the trench was dug already and I was forced to say yes to the upsell. Cali Rooter said that they could come as soon as the rain stopped, about 4 days later, to do the entire repair. Communication was great throughout, they showed up around 9 am and were done by around 3 pm and it looks like they were never there (my biggest concern was the landscaping). They also serviced the two water heaters on my property as a courtesy. All around great service - great communication, fast responses and service. So far so good with the new pipe, although I guess if they did things right, I won't know until after things don't go wrong for decades.

We had a sewer backup issue affecting the back unit/ADU while also dealing with separate toilet issues in the front house. Mick responded quickly, diagnosed both problems efficiently, and got everything resolved the same day. The front house issue turned out to be worn toilet flappers from normal wear and tear. He then ran a camera through, located the blockage, and found cast iron pipes rusted through. He excavated the pipes from under the house, broke concrete, and re-did the pipes for a fair price.
