This company is absolutely awful - use them at your own peril. If I could give them negative 5 stars, I would. My HOA is still in litigation with the owner Frankie, and he continues to try and dodge us at every turn. Chicago Premier Roofing doesn't have a valid business license, which makes sense, given everything we've been through with them. My husband and I live in the top floor unit of a 3-unit condo building and in the spring of 2020, our HOA had multiple contractors come and take a look at our flat roof to see if it was the reason water was getting into the building during rainy weather. Frankie, owner of Chicago Premier Roofing, said our issues could be solved by putting down a new layer of roof on top of the existing one. When he came out to look at the property, we discussed what would be happening with our existing 400 square foot natural wood roof deck, as he said they would pull up the decking and then put it back down when they were done. I told him that wouldn't be necessary as we were planning to use this opportunity to put down new composite wood decking across the entire roof. After Frankie and his team put down a new layer of roof, my husband and I had our deck contractor come out to assess the area and begin making plans to put down our new composite roof deck. During this visit, he flagged some soft spots that needed to be checked before installing heavy decking on top of them. I contacted Chicago Premier Roofing and asked Frankie to come back and take a look. It took him quite a while to come by, even though I told him we couldn't start the work on our deck until he did. When he did finally make it over, he was very dismissive of our concerns. I explained that we couldn't move forward with the installation of our new roof deck until the soft spots were addressed and finally asked him if a new layer on top of them would help and he said: "You want me to put down another layer on top of these? I can do that." I thought it was strange that I had to suggest a potential fix. One of his team members finally came by to do this, and as he was leaving, we noticed he hadn't put any of the silver protective coating over the new patches, so we asked about it and he said, "Oh, Frankie said the other contractor was going to do that." When we told him that didn't make any sense and that he should do the coating - just as they did with the rest of the roof - he begrudgingly went back up to the roof and put the coating down. When our deck contractor came over to install the deck, he said the soft spots were still really concerning and he couldn't in good conscience build a deck on a roof unless he was sure the structure was sound enough to hold the weight. So, we peeled up a layer to peek at what was underneath and immediately saw a lot of moisture. Further investigation revealed LOTS of moisture and mold, as well as joists that were crumbling apart (see attached pics and videos). Bottom line, when Frankie and his team removed our deck, they should have noticed the soft spots and recommended a complete tear-off and replacement instead of putting down a new layer on top of the existing roof, which added unnecessary weight and sealed in a new layer of moisture. There were also several areas where water was pooling and standing, which should never happen on a brand-new flat roof - further indication of the shoddy job Frankie and his team did. We tried to give Frankie the chance to come and make good on our roof (even though we no longer trusted his work), but it took him forever to respond. At one point, he said he would come by on a specific day and time, but never showed up. I tried to contact him several times and he never responded. After repeated attempts, our HOA ended up paying American Superior $14,900 to tear off our entire roof and install a new one. The $10,300 we paid to Frankie was just money in the garbage. We essentially paid to have Chicago Premier Roofing put down a new roof layer that was unsafe and poorly done. We are still in litigation with him and he continues to dodge us at every turn. He is a liar and a crook and should not be trusted to work on anyone's roof.

We are really pleased with the work from Frankie and his crew repairing our flat roof. Frankie was super quick to respond to set up an estimate, prompt and on time for the estimate and great with clear information and pricing based on what we needed done. I was hoping to get some work done on my leaking roof before our first major snow- temps unfortunately went too low for them to get to work immediately, but on the first day it was warm enough to get up on the roof, their crew was here and ready to get things done. Super pleased with the work done and service therein, will be happy to use them again in the future.

If I could give them negative stars, I would. Our roof was leaking and our HOA hired Chicago Premier Roofing to evaluate and repair our roof. We mentioned that there were soft spots under the roof that were concerning as well. Frankie said it was no problem, all we needed was a new roof layer. We believed him because we are not roofing experts. Frankie laid down a new layer of roof over the old one. The first time it rained afterwards, it leaked and pooled like he'd never done any work - in fact, it was worse than before. His solution was to come back and put another layer over the soft, wet spots we pointed out to him, and even getting him to do that was difficult. It leaked again, of course. We asked him to come out again to talk about a better solution, and that's when he started giving us excuses about why he couldn't. Ultimately, while we were waiting for Frankie to respond, another set of contractors came out to install a roof deck shortly thereafter, and refused to do so because they were concerned about the moisture and soft spots and felt the roof was too unstable to take on more weight from a deck. Imagine our surprise. They lifted up a small area of the work Frankie did, and it revealed not only that Frankie had put down the new roof layer over an old layer that was soaked through with moisture, but that the roof based was rotted through entirely underneath (picture attached). The roof was at serious risk of collapse - and instead of checking before he did his work, Frankie added more weight with a new layer to an unstable roof! The whole roof needed to be torn up and redone because it was a hazard - something Frankie missed entirely in his "evaluation." His recommendation to add another layer was downright dangerous. We got photos and videos and tried to show Frankie and discuss the issues, and he continued to be unresponsive. We wanted to know why he never checked under the existing roof layer to be sure all we needed was another layer. He did not respond to that question, either. Since Frankie would not respond, and even if he did we did not trust him to do the work correctly at this point, we had no choice but to pay another contractor to come in and redo the roof correctly. The new contractor felt so bad for us being shafted by Frankie and his shoddy work that he actually gave us a discount. It was THAT bad. After the work was done correctly and the issues were documented, we asked Frankie nicely to refund us the money we paid for his dangerously bad work. He did not respond. We then hired a lawyer and had him served. He has since spent over a year trying to evade the lawyer and refusing to refund us, honor his guarantee or anything else. At this point, I doubt he ever will make what he did right. So we are left with no choice but posting our business experience online, and filing complaints with the BBB and the IL Attorney General's office. Hire Chicago Premier Roofing at your own risk.

We got several quotes, and the prices were all fairly similar. But Tony took the time to send us photos and videos of the roof so we understood exactly why each part of the work needed to be done. That transparency is why we chose him, and we couldn't have been luckier that we did. Once the work began, it turned out our roof hadn't been built to code in the first place. Years of water damage meant the plywood and even several rafters had to be replaced. Tony walked us through every step and kept sending us videos throughout the process. Naturally, these unexpected findings added to the cost, but he was incredibly understanding about our situation and gave us generous discounts on the additional work and materials. At the time, my father-in-law was working as a roofer in New York, so I was able to run everything by him. He confirmed that everything Tony found and recommended was completely legitimate. In the three years since, we haven't had a single problem with the roof. Every time it rains, I'm thankful for Tony and his crew. They did the job and so much more. I recommend Tony without reservation. If you want a roofer who is honest, communicates clearly, and truly cares about his customers, give him a call.

He explained the shoddy original construction of the problem areas and how his team would remedy the issue with a much better construction. The guys who came out and completed the repair and re-roofing were excellent and very contentious when accessing the roof from inside and outside the house. The project from estimate and start to finish was very efficiently executed and very high quality with a fair price! Communication was also superb. Go with these pros. We'll be using Tony and Quality Way for any future roofing needs.
