The reviews were right! Listen, this is an excellent example of good, quality, customer service & food from a black owned restaurant! Friendly & knowledgeable staff & This chicken good than a mf bro! fr doe

Stopped in here while at a party down the street. The place is great. The food is great! The energy was awesome from the moment I walked in! I hardly ever tip for fast food, but the energy was so great I had to leave a tip!

I know this must be a prank! This is my first time ordering food from this restaurant. This tiny itty bitty cheesecake is $4.50! Wow! That is not a $4.50 worth of Cheesecake. Yes, it's good but it's a rip off! If you going to sell pie or cheesecake at your establishment you should consider adjusting the size of the dessert or lowering the price. If there was a picture showing the size of the Cheesecake I would not have purchased it. Consider adding a picture so us as consumers wont be bamboozled. I took photos to show the actual size of the Cheesecake. As you can see it's as big as a travel sized hand sanitizer

The food is excellent cooked to your order.. the service is off the chain..nice friendly clean atmosphere

ok, kids. this one's for you... this chicken is OFF THE F'ING HOOK. damn. best chicken i've had since dooky chase in new orleans. it's a black-owned business with a convenient location. plenty of street parking and the owners are wonderful. and i'm not kidding - their chicken is amazing. crispy skin (even after a 20 minute ride home), most tender meat and perfectly seasoned. the okra is also amazing and the only drinks they sell are bottled water, homemade sweet tea, lemonade and three or four flavors of kool-aid. they have some great deals on mondays and tuesdays and we're definitely going back to try the chicken sandwich and fried catfish. the food is way too good to keep this place a secret. BEST FRIED CHICKEN IN CHICAGO. hands down.

Good size, nicely seasoned, crispy wings

I went here and ordered some wings. I love wings and they did not disappoint. Good size to the wings, fried just right (crispy), seasoned just right. Good job. (They claim they do not use any salt). Lots of room in the restaurant. A simple menu, but I like it that way when you excel at the items provided. Custom service was good. And since everything was good, "I Won't Complain" sung by Elder James Lenox (R.I.P.)

The newest & hottest restaurant in Broadview!!! They're known for their fried chicken, catfish, & shrimp. They are giving all the other businesses in the town a run for their money! Literally... The food is fresh and made to order. The prices are competitive for the area. THEY ARE BLACK OWNED!!!!!!! I enjoyed the food that I tasted at the grand opening and the owners/workers were AMAZING on their very 1st day with lines that were hours long. They handled everything very well. Im excited to see the long haul for the establishment. Please go support & check them out!!! Blessings to this business.

This is my first time going to this restaurant. The wings were very good, you get fries and coleslaw. The wings and fries were cooked to perfection, I did not need to add salt or pepper it was seasoned very well. It kind of taste like Harolds's chicken, I would say it's little better. The only reason I did not give it 5 star is the customer service was not very good, but I'm not there to make friends. Still good customer service is always a good thing. I would recommend Chicago Chicken Shack.

Well when I got there, they had 1 of the 2. Can you guess which? If you guessed ramen, you're wrong. They stopped serving food when COVID hit or around COVID. Oh well, they did have another one of my favorite things - SLOTSSSSS! Yassssssss! They're crispy, but there's also a little chew to them that's hard to described. After they're fried, they're tossed in a wok with the toppings. Even my side fries were drizzled with ketchup, ranch, green onion and some other tasty bits. And yes, David the owner was a very funny and likable guy. It was funny walking in and seeing the owner being super chill and down to earth and cracking jokes with me and some of the other guests, who were total regulars. He kind of reminded me of Mitch Hedberg when he spoke. A bit disappointed that they didn't have rice, but totally happy that they had my pickled radish. I'm a fan of this place. You can tell that this guy is really passionate about his wings.

Wrong orders, orders never made, customers ordered items, waited only to be told the item they had been waiting on was sold out, changed the item and wait some more. Door dash and pickups were extremely chaotic and the waiting room was crowded. One woman was literally waiting 30 min on an extra order of potato salad. It seems like ordering ahead did not help cut down on anyone's wait time. I had no issues with staff. They remained professional in the midst of this chaos but I would just like to see more organization to their set up!!! I truly want to support local, especially POC, but I can't waste any more time hoping for them to get it together or revamp their systems. I can't speak to the taste of the food because I only order cornbread. After today, Jiffy Mix will be back in rotation because I can't handle this much chaos and stress.

With that and because of it being so close to me at the time it was hard to pass up. Chicken Factory itself sits along a highly driven on Roosevelt Rd, right across from Edward Hines, Jr. Veteran Affairs Hospital. And the parking lot itself is shared with a few other businesses, like Cricket, and a Beggars Pizza location. During this visit, it made my evening as a wrestling fan to walk inside to World Wrestling Entertainment Smackdown being shown on their television in the dining area. I have to admit, it surely had a positive influence on the rating I intended on leaving for Chicken Factory, plus it led to interactions with the employees. I was given plenty of time to search the menu for alternatives, outside of spaghetti! I had every intention of ordering two sides of it until it was mentioned that it was made with meat sauce rather than marinara. Aye yi yi! It was then I took another look at the menu and the display, and ended up ordering a mac and cheese along with a small order of fries. After mentioning that I was a vegetarian, the employee mentioned that it is funny that I visited a place solely known for chicken. I responded with "I did my research beforehand! And most places (those known particularly for meat), I tend to go for the sides". I honestly felt that I anticipated my wait time to be shorter being that I ordered just fries, and a mac and cheese. Thanks to WWE Smackdown being on the television, it made the wait feel less excruciating. As for the food, the mac and cheese was satisfying; and the fries were fresh, yet average! However, I was given a satisfying portion being the fact that it was a small order of fries. Honestly, I could have gotten a much satisfying combination like mac and cheese, and fries elsewhere and cheaper! I could very well re-visit and order from Chicken Factory again, but it would likely be for either of the desserts that caught my eye in the display (taffy grapes, cheesecake, homemade cakes, etc.) ,tehehe. Or maybe even one of their lemonade drinks. We thought about sitting outside, but it's not all that appealing as you basically are out on the sidewalk looking over parked cars and traffic. After we found a table inside the rustic-appointed space, I got into the short ordering line and chose the Papa Q Platter because I wanted us to be able to try a little of everything. Neither of us eats very much anymore, and the platter was more than generous. We brought home well over half of it. The pulled chicken and brisket were okay, as was the mac and cheese. The smoked turkey, baked beans, and pulled pork were all on point. The burnt ends were great, but the ribs were easily the highlight. They appeared to be back ribs, but they were meaty, smoky, tender without being mushy, and had an excellent bark. The sauces were fine, although I would have liked a sharper Eastern Carolina-style vinegar sauce, or something really hot and spicy. Overall, there were a few average items, but the better meat--especially those ribs--made it a very enjoyable lunch.
