I ordered three rolls. 1) Philly cheese steak, 2) jerk chicken, 3) Italian beef. The philly and the jerk proves to be the best for me as they appeared to have cheese in it. Now I love cheese but it is not a must. The Italian beef roll was cooked longer than the others based on the color and crunchiness. The service was good. I got my order placed and waited about 8-10 min. The ambiance is clean, a lil loud as you can here the employees talking in the back due to the microphones being turned on. It also was a nice amount of people walking into the cooking area from the outside. But everything looked clean and sanitary. Indoor seating area. Desserts and beverages. No alcohol. Went tonight after talking with my wife about this place for awhile. When I say it didn't disappoint I truly mean it! Place was super busy but the person who took my order was great, even while handling a few things at once. Gave me a quoted timeframe for the food and it was spot on too. There also was another guy there in the back handling orders as they came out and he made sure each n every customer was taken care of...and it was a lot of them. July 30, 2026 - Walked into Tastee Rolls located at 504 Mannheim Road, Bellwood, IL. There was a short line and the food was smelling good. I ordered 2 Jerk Chicken Egg Rolls and a Regular Small Fry. I waited 22 minutes after placing my order to receive it. Everything was cooked to order, fresh, and delicious. A couple of my coworkers were talking about this spot today and their Juneteenth special, 5 egg rolls for $20. Well I had to pass by there so why not stop by. Upon entering the decor is nice, clean. There is a tv playing. They have bulletproof glass when u are ordering which I do not blame them. The order taker was nice. I think there was a communication error. When asked what I wanted to order, I said the Juneteenth special. She said it wasn't available since it was after 2pm. Hmmm ok then I ordered a jerk chicken bowl. A few more folks came in and were ordering the $20 special. I got back in line and placed an order. I did tell her about the error, she thought I wanted to cancel order. I told her no way, I still want to try the egg rolls. I ordered 3 jerk and 2 garlic parmesan. She gave me a $.80 discount...hmmm ok. Finally got order. For dinner I took sum of the rice bowl and 2 of the rolls, 1 jerk & 1 garlic. This is where it gets interesting. The jerk chicken bowl looked different than it tasted. It tasted like the dirty rice at Popeye's. Where's the chicken? A sprinkle of chicken but a ton of rice and cheese. I swear I never tasted anything jerk. Really bizarre. I tried the jerk egg roll which tasted like a regular pork egg roll from your local greasy Chinese spot. The garlic roll was definitely missing the garlic however I liked it better than the jerk. I have tried jerk egg rolls before and it tasted like jerk chicken stuffed inside an egg roll. This was quite different. I wish them the best and glad I was able to patronize them on Juneteenth but that will be it. read more

June 30th 2026 - @ 4:25 pm Horrible service got 3 people at the cashier register and they just socializing and talking among themselves and the cooks. I waited patiently for 10 minutes before I said excuse me can I place a order and the taller man said " well you at the wrong register to start off with " so I changed to the register he went to and as I am about to tell him my order he turns his back and walks off to get someone's order while he was about to take my order. Horrible service !!! Need to work on their people skills how are you at work and constantly drinking a drink while you got 3 people in line to order . Disrespectful and rude !!! I try to maintain my composure and oder my food. I won't go into to much details about the area ad customers inside. I ordered the ground beef, Italian beef and jetk chicken egg rolls. The prices are very reasonable. I waited about 15 minutes for my order to be called. I give it 6 out 10. My eggs rolls were crispy and well cooked inside. My favorite was the ground beef egg roll. The spices in the jerk roll overwhelmed the flavor. The Italian beef was just nasty and greasy. I didn't like the flavor or the taste of the meat. I'm not to sure about this place being called Tastee Rolls. Hopefully this establishment will improve in time. The inside of this place needs updated and a nice good coat of paint around the walls. Really tasty! Definitely call to order beforehand instead of ordering at the restaurant- or you'll be waiting a very long time! Also don't expect to eat your meal here. There are no tables or chairs. This is a hole in the wall where you go in, get your food and head out. With that being said- I went with my mother to this location. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak egg roll and my mom got the "Obama". We also both ordered a peach cobbler egg roll. I do agree with some of the reviews complaints about the food being greasy- it was a little on the greasy side. But, with that being said you cannot deny that these egg rolls are tasty and flavorful. I was pleasantly surprised with how yummy these rolls were. The peach cobbler rolls were delicious. I highly recommend. Not to mention these rolls are extremely affordable. Most rolls cost about $4.50. Excluding some of the specialty rolls like the Obama and the peach cobbler rolls. The Obama was $8.50 and the peach cobbler was $6. I think they have super tasty rolls. Popped in after getting takeaway from a nearby Jamaican restaurant. I ordered two jerk chicken eggrolls and two jerk shrimp eggrolls. For what I got, I enjoyed. The eggrolls were full of flavor and had a nice bit of heat to them. They had red onions in them. I would love to have them stuffed with some cabbage and macaroni and cheese so that they would then become a meal. It's a small walk-up. There are no seats for dining on the premises. The clientele that comes through provides a lot of enertainment ranging from cussing out loud, cussing on cell phone with someone who is cussing in return, or meandering around outside doing nothing of use. Once you get past that, the eggrolls were not bad. I took it upon myself to give the Bellwood location a call to see if they had an idea as to why the other location wasn't answering & the lady hung up me!!! Lol like seriously in the middle of my statement just HUNG up. My best friend Ashley is also obsessed with this place so I allowed her to do a call in and we'd go pick it up. Do you guys think it gets better? NOPE. Lol of course she answers because the attitude she gives is as if she's overworked... she then tells us it's a 25 minute wait, we live 30!!!!!! I was very Displeased with the service I received from this business establishment. I placed my order online to avoid a long wait time. My order was placed at 1pm they received my order at 1:04 pm I came inside the restaurant to check on how much longer and was still there until after 2:15 before I finally got my food. One of the gentleman working there Argued with me after me expressing my concerns to him about the wait time. He insinuated that I was blaming them that my food wasn't ready. I feel like instead of arguing with a paying customer you should've resolved the situation by offering some sort of incentive because of my inconvenience. Everybody else who worked there also watched him argue with me while other customers were present in the restaurant. Placed an order through GrubHub to be delivered at a certain time. I ordered a jerk chicken taco, a jerk steak taco, one jerk chicken egg roll and one gyro egg roll. My order was actually delivered a little earlier than the time selected which was good because that meant the restaurant had the order ready and it was hot when it arrived. The steak taco had cheese, onions and lettuce. (You can choose what you want on the tacos). It was just ok, a little too salty for my taste. I got my jerk chicken taco with cheese, lettuce and onions well. It was very tasty. The gyro egg roll and jerk chicken egg roll were very good. The gyro egg roll had gyro meat, onions, and a hint of peppers. The jerk chicken egg roll had chicken and a little onion. Both were very flavorful. Overall, I enjoyed the meal. I've passed this spot many times, but finally decided to check it out after seeing review on Black Foodies. Website says they close @8:00. Sign in window says they close @8:00. However, when we arrived at 7:00, we were informed that they were about to close! In addition, they only had 3 roll choices available - none of which appealed to me or my husband. 2 of my co-workers said this place was must try. We tried them at the Taste of Bellwood over the weekend. We ordered the buffalo and jerk chicken egg rolls. First, they were charging $3.00 an egg roll when on the website it says they are $2.85-and I my friend said when she ordered from the restaurant, they were that amount. So, they were charging more at the TOB. I did not care for the jerk chicken egg roll at all. It did not taste like anything, I did not taste jerk chicken spice or heat. I am not a fan of philly cheesesteak or gyros so I did not try those egg rolls. Went to the location on 79th indiana, thought I'd try something new. For starters the cashier was very rude and had a nasty attitude, the food took over 30mins to come out & when I got home the order was all wrong on top of the food being nasty in itself. The egg rolls were greasy and the chicken wings were extremely small and old. TERRIBLE!!!!!! I would not recommend anybody waste their money here.
