I've ordered the no spice, medium, and hot, and every level was flavorful. Fair warning though, the hot is truly hot and definitely brings the heat in the best way. The hot was my favorite. I skipped the wings and sandwiches this time since they were a bit pricey compared to what I'm used to back home in the city, but honestly the chicken mac and cheese was more than enough to win me over. Ordered online for a delayed pickup. I was slightly late due to traffic and the person at the counter did not seem amused that I was 'late' though they still have 2 hours that they're open (the only person losing was me with maybe slightly sad chicken?). However, I did pickup the food without incident. The mild chicken is HOT... if you want really mild you might have to pick no heat. However, chicken is delicious and not greasy and the toppings of my sandwich (pickles, slaw) were perfect. Pricewise, things are reasonable and while service was a smidge crabby today, on previous visits, they've been friendly. Small spot if you want to eat in. Just my opinion I wasn't a big fan of this place. I came here one day with a friend who recommended that we check this place out. We were second waiting in line, and you would have thought the line was out the door. We waited for 15 minutes just to place our order. The guy behind the counter looked frustrated and upset. Never really much acknowledging the customers. The online orders were coming in and he was overwhelmed. There was only one cook, one person cleaning tables and the guy behind the counter was trying to be a Superhero. That he neglected the customers coming to place their orders. There were a few people who came in and got tired of waiting and left the restaurant. Finally, we were able to place our order. I ordered the 3 pc Tenders Meals and a side of Mac & Cheese, and my friend ordered the Fricken Chicken Meal. I was so disappointed with the food. Overprice, lack of taste and unprofessional service. I took my food to go, but there was limited space to eat, although the place was completely empty. I easily could've gotten the 2 chicken tender combo, since I couldn't even finish the meal with 3. I stopped by for a quick takeout order for lunch. Food came out really fast! I ordered the Foghorn Chicken Sandwich, which is Nashville style chicken with slaw and jalapeños. When looking at the sandwich, the chicken is massive! And, I've got to say that this is one of the best chicken sandwiches that I've tried in the Chicago area so far! This is a small chicken establishment located in Forest Park, and it is by far one of the best chicken sandwiches I have had in Illinois. Interior and menu are straight and to the point. Nothing flashy, just a really great sandwich. Service was really quick as well since I came in the middle of the week around 1 pm, so I am not sure how busy things get here. I ordered the Fog Horn Chicken Sando, Nashville style, and it comes with jalapeños slaw, pickles, and a sauce on top. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and flavorful. The Nashville heat is definitely there blended in with the jalapeños slaw. The slaw is also very fresh and flavorful. Definitely compliments this style of sandwich. Came here on Saturday afternoon with 8 teenage girls. 3 of them chose not to eat because they weren't hungry, and the other 5 all ordered something different than each other. Now if you know anything about teenagers, they are picky eaters. I can say that everyone of them was absolutely amazed with the food. They thanked us so much for getting them to try something other than McDonald's and other places. I had the specialty chicken sandwich. Medium. And it had the perfect amount of kick to it. A touch less than Popeyes spicy chicken sandwich and more than the other guys who don't open on Sunday. The fries, onion rings, wings, and fried chicken, were all reportedly amazing and "wayyyy better than uncle Remus". The ambiance was perfect. Small enough to be cozy. But large enough to hold about 15 guests. I imagine most ppl take their food to go. And here is what puts them above and beyond. The three girls who weren't hungry...the employees brought out a tray of food for them out of the kindness of their hearts. They were very appreciative and told me they ate it even though they didn't have to room for it. The girls were absolutely humbled by their generosity. Amazing food. Amazing employees. Instead I was given a chicken tender sandwich that was a bit underwhelming because it was so messy to eat. Next, the description said jalapeno coleslaw. Excellent. I love jalapeño slaw. What I received was far from it. It was raw, shredded red cabbage and pickled jalapeños from a jar. Just lazy. It was still good but a bit misleading on all fronts. Tighten it up, guys. Make some small service and menu tweaks and this place will do extremely well. The cook (heavy set ladie with dreads) unprofessional...I ordered a variety of things off the menu from fish sandwich, chicken wings and chicken tenders Mac and cheese and fries..The mac and cheese was Dry and flavorless not cheesy at all..I told the ladie my order specifically no onions of no kind on my fish sandwich,due to allergies. Got my food bit into it, it had all kinds of onions on it. Took it back to explained to the ladie it has onions on it and could they remake, she told the ladie who was cooking. They have a double patty burger but they let me get the Jr. burger, which is only one patty. It's on the kid's menu but said it was fine that I ordered it. I'm not sure if it's the new management or if the workers are not properly trained, but we waited a *full hour* for two chicken sandwiches and a cheeseburger. My kids were starving and grumpy by the end of this debacle, and the place was full of people waiting and frustrated. There seemed to be something awry in the kitchen, with four workers mostly standing around, confused. The man at the register was apologetic and very kind, but we unfortunately ended up having to take our order to go. We ate our sandwiches in the car on the way to a show. The food is as delicious as we remembered, if a little messy to be eating while driving. You won't find a better Nashville Hot anywhere. That includes in Nashville. It's one of those rare things that while you're eating it, you realize it's the best you've ever had. I order mine "medium", which online you can do by choosing mild and hot and making a note. Don't sleep on their double burgers either though. Delicious! One of the best burgers I've ever had.
