Hey ChickFilA... How about going back to when you delivered and amazing experience??? Back when you used to get orders right, ask how a customer's day was, be quick with your service, have great food, and actually genuinely apologize for your mistakes. Instead it's now ALL excuses for sub par service, messed up orders, sub par/ cold food, rudeness, and half hearted apologies filled with excuses. Here's my ridiculous nightmare at the MLK drive through location near UT campus. 1) Visit. Get a rude young lady who made me consistently repeat my order, no greeting, no thank you. I pull up and get sweet tea instead of unsweetened tea. Turn back around and after explaining the rudeness and order mess up to a "manager" I'm giving an excuse that the tea was mixed up and offered a coupon for items that I didn't order/ would never order. No apology or addressing of the rudeness or poor service. Get home, cold and overcooked nuggets. 2) Visit. Leave drive through. Get home and realize I was given 8 count nuggets instead of 12 count. Call and talk to the "manager" at the time. Told they're sorry and if I wanted to drive all the way back. Instead I ask if I can get a call from owner. Told yes. Never get a call. 3) Visit. Despite a car in front of me already being pulled over waiting on items, I'm told I need to drive forward and park. But I'm actually instructed to go park on a side street bc there's no room to wait in front bc other people are already waiting. Funny that this location had no problem collecting payment quickly, but the customer then has to wait. And why would you make multiple customers pull forward and wait. In addition, there was a "manager" shouting these orders to the drive thru attendant. Why not instead be a leader of great service nd come address the customer directly, instead of hiding. When my order is brought out to me, I'm given a quick apology and again a coupon for the item they're currently pushing, not anything that I'd want. And no real attempt to adress the issue of rude/ poor service. Get home and have a kale salad instead of the normal side salad I wanted. 4) Visit tonight. Rude attendant is more concerned about non working headset. Mixes up drink order and doesn't pack all items. Plus food is cold/ old. Family gave up halfway through entrees. Call in to talk to "manager", given excuses, and told it will be days before I can talk to owner/ GM. No specific time offered. I know they work Monday, but was told they will not guarantee a call bc Mondays can be busy. What is going on and why is no one at this location willing to fix? Is the owner just that out of touch of what's going on? Has the business model/ standards changed or been lowered? I frequently use ChickFilA as a model of excellence and was a fan of Truett and Dan Cathy's vision and business standards, but sounds like this may not be the case. Help!?!?!? read more

What is the worst thing in the world? I am a firm believer that it is to order your Chick-fil-A food drive home and realize even though you had requested certain amount of sauces for your food that you and your party are left with nothing for the kitchen forgot to put sauce in the bag. It pains me to know that we live in a society where people don't read and follow instructions anymore. Not to sound like a self and titled prick but I did pay for it and I want what I paid for. Besides the fact there's not an actual indoor dining, this is your typical CFA experience. Employees are nice and during prime time, it can get super jammed, and you can get stuck waiting for a bit. I will say this place has always treated me great, one time I came home and they had given me the wrong item - I go back and they give me the correct food, no hassle and let me keep the other food. There was also another time I went to get tortilla soup, I was waiting for a bit for it, then they unfortunately ran out/dropped the rest, but they gave me a gift card for multiple orders of nuggets and let me reorder. If they mess up, they will go well beyond to take care of you, which is all you can ask for. read more

They are fast given how busy they can get. Food is literally always hot & fresh. The staff is very polite. This location isn't a dine-in but it's service is exceptional. Don't get me started on them waffles fries they are fire!!! Oh how can I forget that chick-fil-a sauce will make you slap somebody it's so freaking Good! The best location I've been to yet. I'll start off by saying don't even try to go here for lunch. It's too busy. Not just a long line busy, a line of cars that extends into the street kind of busy. I realize this isn't the fault of the folks at Chick-fil-A, but dang, people, it's chicken not cocaine. There are rednecks blocking the street on any given day trying to cause wrecks on MLK. I have been to several different chick fil a's and always love the food and receive great service. However with my couple experiences here on MLK i have been extremely disappointed. The service is slow and so is serving food. About a week and a half ago my order was screwed up so that gave me a free chicken nugget card. Later that week when i went to redeem it it had already been scanned! the Manager rewarded me my nuggets but seemed very hostile to do so. absolutely horrible. my shake took an additional five minutes of waiting at the pickup window to arrive. when it did it was the most disgusting thing ever, there was shake and whipped cream spilling down the sides and out of the top. it had pooled to the bottom of the cup so that when i set it in my car it went all over the cup holder. they gave me a regular spicy sandwich instead of a deluxe like i ordered, and when i drove back home, around three minutes away, the fries were completely soggy and way too over salted. during the drive my ranch had also exploded all over the inside of the takeaway bag. read more

I alternate between this location and the one on Ben White, and the employees are always so sweet! I left my purse at one of the outdoor tables here a few months back and didn't realize it until I was already home. All in all, after rushing back to the restaurant, I'd probably left it there for an hour and figured it was more than likely stolen (it was a designer bag with my wallet, house keys, cash, etc). But as soon as I walked back up, they asked me if I'd lost my bag, told me they'd been keeping it in the back for me, and even remembered my name. Love these guys! read more

Love Chick-fil-A. From their breakfast, to their sandwiches, to their salads. It tends to be packed most of the time but they do work fairly quick to get everyone in and out as fast as possible. They even have employees outside taking the orders, in an effort to not have people waiting so long. Plus they are super polite! read more

Yum, I love Chick-fil-a! I come for the sweet tea and waffle fries. This location is not consistent on the sweetness of the sweet tea and the amount of ice. Also, there is only an outside seating area. On the plus side, there are 2 drive-thru lines. I recommend the left lane if you're in a hurry, because they usually have 2-3 people taking orders during peak times. read more

I love this chick fil a! The staff is soooo nice. Every time I go there I feel treated like royalty. I love they have have the drive through and walk up options. They are downtown but have parking around them so you don't have to pay usually to be down there for just a few minutes. It is a very popular spot especially for walk ups so the wait can be long especially during peak hours but the staff is very aware of that and do all they can to accommodate you despite that. There is no indoor seating but their patio seating is quite nice and they do have a bathroom which is always super clean. All in all when I want something on the full menu I don't find going there as much of a hassle as a lot of the shops around west campus. read more

I usually LOVE this chick-fil-a, but today I got charged by one of the employees standing outside for my food which is normal. Later when I got to the window, the manager assured me that my card had not been charged with the employee standing outside because no payment had showed up on their system. She charged me again. I looked at my bank account just now and I have two separate charges from my 1 chick-fil-a run just now. I am loyal to this chick-fil-a and the manager even gave me a leftover chicken biscuit from breakfast. The exchange was all really kind but I am just sad because I got charged twice for my order today. read more

This chick-fil-a falls flat when compared to any other. I always say chick-fil-a sauce in my orders and lately they don't put it in the bag and I don't check(as I should) bc the employees are in a rush, so I feel bad if I linger. The thing that ticks me off the most is that their chicken taste like they haven't changed out their oil, meaning the chicken is drenched with this nasty, burnt taste. It's always a surprise on how my chicken turns out each time I go there. But I go each time hoping it will be a good batch, and most of the time it's not. One last thing! I've been around a lot of different chick-fil-as and this is the slowest one. No doubt it has a big community to provide for, but so does Houston and Dallas and they have the line moving constantly. We came to Chick-fil-A BC my cousin has never had the chicken mini biscuits they serve in the morning. We got there at 10:32am and was sad they didn't serve breakfast after 10:30am; so we ordered the regular chicken nugget meal. To our surprised Camille came to our table and surprised us with the MINI Chicken biscuits! What?! WOW! More like "my displeasure". Moments ago I was in the drive thru line, having ordered a delicious nugget meal as Chick-fil-A typically delivers. However, quite possibly the primary reason this establishment has reeled me into becoming a recurring customer is the wonderful after dinner mints. I had asked for a "handful" at the window, to which the cashier responded with "no one ever takes our mints, please, take them all!" At this point I was practically salivating and foaming at the mouth. I already have U-haul on the phone to rent the trailer I will need to deliver the mints to my place of residence. Unfortunately, there was no u-haul truck needed. When I checked the bag, there were a measly THREE MINTS. My expectations were left high and dry, ladies and gentleman. In general, one can complain about Chick-fil-A and its customer service, food. Unfortunately, it happens on the W Martin Luther King location yesterday evening a . I was picking up a customer's food. I was 15 minutes late when I arrived to pick the food, so I asked one employee. A blonde girl called Keynie, she told me it's not yet. I waited but the customer has reported that I'm late, so I'm not gonna waste my time while she gets paid hourly. The same thing happened today, I've waited for more than 20 minutes, after that all I heard was we don't have that order. If someone picked the order by mistake, it is not my fault. When they report on it, no one will help or change anything. It would be nice if you appreciate all the customers. Even though, if they were drivers. We're all working, and we value the time. I feel sorry that a famous merchant like your estimated company would hire people, without training them to respect others, no matter who was that. read more

It's just like almost any other chick fil a and has great customer service. The staff is friendly and the manager once accepted my expired coupon. I would have rating this chick fil a a 4 start, but the major down side is the outdoor seating. Every time you try eating outside, pigeons always come by your food! Sometime needs to be done about these bird. I could not even enjoy my meal. But regardless of that, it is a great place to eat. They are also active in the community and do lots of charity events and marketing. If one day, I see that sometime has been done to take care of the pigeons, then I will definitely change my yelp review. I still believe that chick fil a has the best customer service out there. read more

I had their classic burger on sunday and their burgers are the worst. There is 0 flavor in their beef and their fries are not authentic at all. This was the strangest burger I've ever tasted. Asian salad way smaller than I have had at other locations by nearly half and I have bought several. Over 5 mins. Waiting with just one vehicle ahead that got one bag of food. Had to go back when I realized I was short changed $2+, then had to explain in depth to manager (as if the cop in uniform was trying to scam them). Have had better days. A group of co-workers and I went for lunch to our nearest Chick-fil-A, and were we in for a craziness. We arriving we understood it was lunch time, and things would be crazy, but we never imaged they would forget two of our meals. My co-worker and myself were the only two out of 5 that didn't receive our orders once we saw everyone else eating theirs. Finally when my friend approached the window to ask for our order the young man at the window had no idea about our order! Not only was our lunch short, but to top it off we have to scarf down our food by the time they decided to give us our order after we asked for it. This Chick-fil-A is top notch! It's right off campus and is always super crowded. However, they still provide the fastest most professional service of any fast food joint around. Everyone working here is always upbeat, they seem to always get my order (& group orders) right every time, & the food is always delicious. read more
