Chick-fil-a in the student hill center had quality food. I typically go every other week, and I always receive great service. I normally order the twelve count nugget meal. This meal comes with nuggets, fries, and a drink. My meal has always been fresh every time I go there. This is one of my favorite Chick-fil-a's to go to in the Birmingham area. However, there is typically a longer wait at this location, due to it being the only Chick-fil-a on campus. I will rate this location a 4/5, this rating includes the service and the meal quality itself. I would highly recommend this chick-fil-a when you are visiting the UAB campus. read more

I visited the Chick-fil-A in the UAB Hill Center, which is a new restaurant where Full Moon was prior. It's a popular spot for college students, professors, and visitors . They have a limited menu with fried and grilled sandwich options. I rarely have a good experience there because of the long wait times, even when I order ahead through Grubhub. Instead of my usual meal, I ordered just an 8-count nugget and fries, hoping it would be quicker than a specialty sandwich. I ended up waiting 40 minutes for my food, only to receive overcooked nuggets. Chick-fil-A is usually great, but this location doesn't live up to the company's standards. Chick-fil-A is relatively new that opened up at the Hill Student Center at UAB. This restaurant is loved by many because of its environment, friendly staff, and even better food. I remember being so excited to hear that they're going to open up a Chick-fil-A on campus. However, it is located in the busiest building on campus. My usual order is the 8-count grilled chicken nuggets with medium fries, medium Sunjoy (1/2 sweet tea, 1/2 diet lemonade), and Polynesian sauce. Now, I really do not recommend coming here during lunch because of how busy they can get. This Chick-fil-A is severely understaffed, with a usual wait time of 40 minutes to an hour. If you decide to come here before your class, you will be late. I recommend downloading Grubhub and ordering ahead of time so you can just pick up your order and beat the crowd. This location also has visitors from other UAB offices, so that, plus the students, can get pretty hectic. Since it's so busy, the staff aren't the friendliest (at least the ones I've encountered) since they're so focused on trying to get the orders out to everyone as quickly as they can, so don't expect to hear "my pleasure" for every order. This location also has limited menu options since it's a smaller franchise, but they have all the basics. Overall, this Chick-fil-A has potential if they come up with a better system. I often eat lunch at the Chick-fil-A in the Hill. I always get the same thing, an eight count nugget, large fry and a Dr. Pepper. This location's food options are not quite as diversified as a typical Chick-fil-A, the menu is a bit more refined. Despite this, they have a variety of food options to select from. I especially appreciate the healthier options on the menu, like the salad and fruit cups. The food here is always reliable as often all Chick-fil-A's are. This location, as it is on a college campus, is quite busy especially during lunch and it can be quite normal to wait an hour or more to receive your order. Ordering online prior to arrival helps greatly when in a hurry. Despite the hectic environment of the food court, the employees have always been very kind, understanding, and helpful. I have visited Chick-fil-a on campus multiple times throughout my education at UAB. When it first opened, the lines were long and it took a long time to get your food. After awhile I thought it would calm down but it has not. it still takes awhile to get your order. My most recent visit I ordered a salad, though the food was great, it took a long time for my order to be ready and when I would ask the workers about it they were so busy they could not get to me. So I waited a lot longer than I was estimated. It was not a problem because my food was just a salad but if it was not then it would have been cold and not as good. If the resturant was larger, maybe the workers would have a better time keeping up with the high demand of orders. I have eaten at Chick-fil-A a couple of times on and off campus. I prefer to eat at Chick-fil-A off campus. I ordered fries and a milkshake. It took a while to get my food. I normally order on grubhub and it's ready when I get there, but this time I ordered on grubhub and when I got there, my food still wasn't ready. The time kept getting delayed. Overall, when I received my food, it was good. The student center is busy during the day, especially around lunch time, so if you are thinking about eating there, I would recommend ordering ahead or giving yourself enough time to wait. The service was fine; only one person was handing out food. There is plenty of seating in the student center. If you are unable to find a seat on the first floor, my favorite place to go is on the third floor there are seats near the window and a balcony where you can sit. read more

Normally It is extremely busy throughout the day because it's obviously Chick-fil-A, but they are always very helpful no matter how full they can be sometimes! I have seen the worker when it is extremely busy and when it has slowed down and every time they deliver great service! I only ordered the waffle fries as a small snack, but yet the lovely worker was super nice and asked if I wanted any type of sauce for my fries. I came in just before the peak of lunch time so it only took about 12 minutes to get my food. I ordered an 8 count of nuggets. Two of the nuggets felt unusual to me, and I suspected they might have been undercooked. I had a similar experience when I went during rush hour. The customer service does not meet the same expectations as a standard Chic-fil-a. I have noticed that I have better experiences earlier in the day when there are less people. However, I can understand being overwhelmed with so many orders! It is convenience that drives me to visit the Hill Center. If you are in a rush to get lunch, you may need to reconsider coming here. It can be very loud and you need to be very attentive of when your order is called! I was not satisfied with my meal, but I may try to give them another shot sometime in the future. read more

Went for a quick meal. It is UAB so it will be a little crowded but nothing major as it is popular. I did not know there was a chick fil a in the hill center until today. Love the expansion and Chick Fil A will always be a favorite. They were not as quick as the others but quick enough for UAB.
