I'm sure glad there's finally a Chick-fil-A nearby but not that glad there's no drive-thru. Just a heads up that driving into this location can be a lil tricky since it's next door to the In-N-Out. The new traffic light does help a bit. Once inside, the staff are very friendly. I don't usually have a long wait time which is greaaat. There's plenty of seating...both indoors and outdoors. And of course, the food and drinks are consistently tastyyy. Looove 'em! I highly recommend this location to the Yelp Community :-)

After leaving Legoland we came here to have a late dinner with my family. Kids choice of course. It was busy, I'm thinking everyone came here after Legoland lol the line moved fast, the cashier helping us was so nice and friendly. She was the best. Our food also came within minutes. So fast. Now this is a fast food place indeed. I ordered the chicken nuggets combo. The nuggets were good but I wasn't a fan of the fires. A bit undercooked for me. I also got a pink sprite and enjoyed it much. The ambiance was fun , families having a great time eating and chatting.

    My pleasure Yelp..... hahaha

With only two Chick-fil-A's in our area, it's a really tough decision because both are great and both have wonderful service and great managers. But this week I had to give it to Carlsbad for this reason, it's about a five minute walk to my favorite trail on the cliffs of Carlsbad Beach. So, you get a good workout in and then two minutes later you're ordering one of the outside tables at Chick-fil-A still breathing that ocean air. That works for me.

I am not a huge fan of the Chick-fil-A flavors to be honest but our kids love it. This location doesn't have drive through which is a bummer. Small parking lot too. Stuff is always friendly and helpful though.

CHICK FIL A @ CARLSBAD WEST Parking was a little bit odd, immediately when we turned into the lot, there was about 20 curbside pick up so it seems that their parking structure was more on curbside immediately as a first impression. We parked there anyways. We ended up doing an online order. I just got some medium fries and some mac & cheese. Walking in the place was extremely spacious. They even had surfboards on the wall, which I thought was awesome. The workers were really nice and kind. The bathrooms, however, were a little bit dirty but all the tables were cleaned. The food itself was delicious. I've never tried mac & cheese from Chick-fil-A before so I was really excited to try and it was delicious as well as the fries were steaming hot overall I'll definitely come back to the spot. I really love this Chick-fil-A!

The establishment looks semi clean but a wipe down is def. Needed. Doesn't have a drive through. Lame!!! Plus, charges you the 10cents bag fee even though they don't require it at restaurants. This is one of the only stores I know of who charges this bag fee. They must need the money since their ratings are so low. Food is also switched to paper products, so that's semi good I guess. I feel that there's less salad than in the plastic container. Seems cutting costs and taking more money from customers. Won't be back.

Every one in there is just so nice love the place so clean and in general chick fil a is just the best

Good customer service but I received my chicken sandwhich with a broken box :/ None the less food was yummy

I had a draft pilsner, and my husband had a key lime martini which was delicious! Neither too sweet or too tart. We were seated inside in a booth by a window with a gorgeous view of the Pacific. They also have a lovely patio, but we opted for inside due to the heat. Our server, Micheline, immediately made us feel comfortable with great recommendations. The starters came out faster than we expected and were excellent. The mushroom dip was not what we expected. It was thick & rich with a little heat. Very yummy! It was served with fried bread that made a great vehicle for sopping it up. We got one wedge salad (which they split for us). Very fresh, crisp veggies. Generous servings of cheese & bacon. My hubby who does not normally like ranch dressing enjoyed it as much as I did. Our entrees came out quickly as well. I got the sea bass. It was cooked perfectly. The sauce was rich & had a kick. My husband raved about his cioppino as some of the best he's had. Throughout the meal, Micheline was attentive without hovering, joked with us, and made us feel truly welcome. She raised an already outstanding meal to new heights. We didn't have room for dessert, so we'll have to visit again to try out the sweets. The entire experience from the bar to the final check was phenomenal. We will be back and will recommend it to all our friends.

It's an amazing oceanfront restaurant across from South Carlsbad State Beach. Best ceviche we've ever had! The sourdough bread is to die for! Happy and knowledgeable and so much fun... She clearly loves her job! She was so attentive to us, we felt like we were the only diners there. :-) And she really knows her stuff! Pretty hilarious when we found out that my name is JILL, too, as we rarely meet many JILLs. We hit it off famously! Not only because the food was outstanding, and plated beautifully, but because of JILL we are definitely going back! And if you go----I mean WHEN go---you ask for her!

Family-Friendly Escape Near Legoland…read more While staying at the nearby Legoland Hotel, a few of us moms decided to sneak away from our husbands and kids for a quick break, and this place was a fantastic find! It features a variety of food stalls serving fresh, high-quality dishes, which was a very welcome break from the typical fried hotel food. With options ranging from pizza and fried chicken to a great selection of Asian cuisines like Thai and Chinese, it is an easy way to accommodate different tastes within a family or across multiple families. I especially loved the fresh, piping-hot dishes (we got the pad see ew) from the Thai food stall paired with a delicious cocktail from the central bar. Before heading back, we also grabbed some mini donuts to bring to the kids. The space is incredibly accommodating, with plenty of indoor seating options including bar tables, cozy booths, and standard tables. On top of that, they have several arcade games on-site, making this a highly viable and fun dining option for families with kids. Would recommend as a viable option if you're in the area.

Well, if you're hungry but can't exactly decide how to satisfy that hunger, just follow the windmill to the Windmill Food Hall. That's what we did and were soon face-to-face with fourteen different food vendors, ranging the ethnic gamut from Thai to Chinese to Sushi to Burgers to Lobster to Pizza to Mexican and pretty much anything your hungry little heart craves. Our party of three scattered into three directions and reunited at a table for our eclectic lunch. My wife went with meatballs from Cacio because Craft Pizza didn't sell slices, just a 12" pizza. My brother-in-law went with a Honey Walnut Shrimp plate from Secret Sauce Wok, and I went with sushi and miso soup from Rolled Up Sushi. I loved my lunch, starting with a nice flavorful Miso Soup ($5) that was served in a coffee cup! My eight Spicy Tuna Rolls ($14) were most definitely spicy. Now, since I love spicy food I was thrilled because 98% of the spicy tuna rolls I've had over the years are ho-hum on the old spiciness meter. Not these. The food hall was packed, and we saw many families having lunch there. Kids were all over, including some uniformed sports teams. The kids were also at the many video and arcade games on the premises, while bigger kids were entertaining themselves at Windmill's big bar. What a fun place for a fun food experience.

One thing they absolutely deserve praise for is the events. Like Jurassic Beach (which I saw on the Instagram page) was such a cool idea, and the light shows have been awesome too. Those kinds of events make camping here even more memorable, especially for families, and you can tell a lot of effort goes into putting them together. I've also noticed the store itself starting to feel more like a camp store again. Seeing more Carlsbad and beach themed merchandise instead of all the Sasquatch stuff is a nice change. It gives the place more of that cozy campground feel that so many people loved about the original store. That being said, it still feels like the store is very focused on attracting outside visitors rather than mainly serving the campers who are staying here. The music and events can also be a little overwhelming at times, especially when you're looking for a quieter campground experience. Overall, I'm happy to see the changes that have been made. The Camp Store is not exactly like the old one yet, but it is definitely heading in the right direction. Keep listening to the feedback instead of criticizing the reviews and continue to bring back that classic camp store feeling, because I really think this place can become something special again.

The Spanish rice also tasted like it had been sitting out for a while and was a little dry. I did appreciate that the black beans came topped with some cheese and were served in a little tostada bowl - a nice touch. The fish and chips were hands down the best thing we ordered. The fish had a super crispy batter and the fries were crispy as well. Definitely the standout of the meal.
