There are so many tasty-looking choices. We've found them perfect for sharing, and this last time around they also offered us a sample of their homemade potato salad, which tastes like it was made fresh for a picnic right on the spot. We've also appreciated how clean both locations were, and how friendly the service staff was. I think the owner might have been working at the Hot Potato Pie 2 location, because we asked when they'll be coming to Reno and he said soon, coming to Virginia Ave. While stopping for a lunch potato has been a highlight of multiple Carson City trips for us recently, we're very much looking forward to easier access now that they're going to be local to us in Reno :)

The cheesesteak was good and I liked the flavors. I did think the bread was a bit tough and the toppings weren't much. The Asian chicken wrap was super unbalanced. It had way too much lettuce and nearly no meat. The kids sandwich was fine, no complaints there. Overall I felt like the portions weren't great for nearly $40 worth of food. I expected a lot from all of the great things I had heard about TOGO's but it seems like the current Yelp reviews are reflecting that things aren't as hyped as I expected and my experience aligns. With my first bite, the memories just came flooding back. Instead of an onion bun, it now comes on a brioche bun, and as I ate the burger, the bun started to disintegrate a little bit, just like it used to do in Reno. It's hard for a bun to hold up to that much burger. All of the fixings were fresh, and my "awful awful sauce", just as good as always, came on the side. That was no problem, I used part of it on the burger, and the rest of it I used as a "fry sauce" which I love. , the fries were skin on steak fries, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and absolutely delicious. I'm not sure what they seasoned them with. Somehow, I managed to finish the whole meal. It's more expensive than the original, but hey, prices for everything have gone up.
