Fellow Chik-fil-A lovers in south Cary be patient. This location suffered when a new operating partner came in post renovations. My wife and I noted that the quality of the service/food had been mediocre and the drive thru had no strategy to improve flow. During my visit today I spoke to a team member who shared that corporate has come into the store to fix things. Today's visit was much better and the quality of the service was improving and food was back to its excellent quality. So, it a work in progress but there is hope! Thank you corporate for recognizing some management was needed! 3 stars for it being a work in progress. Now if T-Mac would do the same and get serious Waverly Place would be in great shape for food. read more

I buy food here for my kids almost 2-4 times a week. The customer service level has dropped tremendously for the last two months. I noticed new staff at the drive thru window and thought perhaps they are still in training and so therefore the services is not there yet. After the fourth time with they same staff at the drive thru window, I'm done with this location. There is a higher expectation of customer service for a Chick-fil-A since that is their core value. I am accustomed to that level of service so when I didn't get the proper greeting at the drive thru window, I was taken back. Then when I get to the window to pick up my food, no greeting, no extra care handling my food, nor a thank you! I"m not giving my money to them anymore. read more

I love Chick-fil-A - generally speaking. However, this store is easily and hands down the worst of all Chickfila's that I've ever been to. There is nothing fast about the service, you will wait easily for 20 minutes in the drive thru line. And not just at "busy" times...even at random times that you'd think would be slower for the store. Every few months I'll be working in the area and decide to "give them another chance, maybe they've changed!" - but nope....I always regret it. Just avoid this place. Go to any other Chick-fil-A - even if you drive a little out of the way, you'll still save time. read more

Ive been to several ChickfilAs in Cary, Im mixed about this one. First a warning, theres never enough parking, I suggest you park across the entrance in the Bass Pro lot. They often time are too busy for lunch, with a line out the door and a drive through around the building. Food orders because of this have been mixed up or missing items. Im also sad as this location is not a big community supporter the way some of their others are. That said, they keep their standards of hot food equal to any ChickfilA in the area. Great Chick-fil-A restaurant. It has great service and great food. We usually go a few times a month and the people are always great. We love all the Family Activities that are organized by this Chick-fil-A including the annual Daddy & Daughter Date Night which is always so much fun. My daughters always make sure we go and they also love the Bingo nights as well. The restaurant was also recently renovated and looks great. Just a overall great place to get a meal and spend time with your family. read more

Of all the Chick-Fil-As I've been to, this has been the most consistently disappointing one. Several factors contribute to this. There is ALWAYS a line at the drive thru. I understand that this is not completely the restaurants fault, as Chick-fil-A is very popular but you'd think after years of the car line going out into the street starting at 10am, they'd figure out what was going on. IMHO, a line at 10am is not because of popularity, it's because something else is wrong (inefficient layout, slow order times etc). Secondly, my order has been wrong 2/3 times I've visited. The third is that some of the staff can be quite overly controlling and almost aggressive in their interactions with customers. Cleaning of the tables has to be done according to strict standards and things get a little uncomfortable if it's not done just so. I know this is a bit vague but I'm attempting some sensitivity. Seriously though, there is another chick-fil-a a few miles away that presents a better experience. read more

This has to the worst chick fil a ive ever been to and I am not someone who complains about everything. It's so crap that I'm writing a review for a fast food place. The service was so awful and slow. Ask for a refill and they look at you like you have a third eye. An the people that work there omg where did you find these people?? They feel like aliens dressed in human costumes. So unpleasant and just plain weird. My family and I frequent Chik-fil-A because they are kid friendly and usually so helpful. This particular store on Tryon Rd in Waverly Place never meets up to the expectations of a typical Chik-fil-A. The staff are never friendly, I have never been helped to a table with my children (as I am in other stores), and recently I witnessed even a manager refuse to help the growing line of customers. I had stopped going to the particular store because of poor experiences time after time, but gave it another shot last week only to leave the store empty-handed due to poor customer service. Change of management is highly needed (if you're reading this Chik-fil-A people). read more

I just want to give this restaurant a good review because they are so nice here. Yeah, I know, all Chic-fil-a restaurants are filled with overtly nice people, but the people here are always helpful when I bring my overwhelmed self and two small children. They'll carry the food to my table after I order, let me trade in the kids' toys for fruit cups (okay, sometimes ice cream too), and have cleaned up numerous spills cheerfully. We go here all the time and probably will for a long time to come. read more

I had such a wonderful experience here today on my lunch hour. The little touches like bringing my meal to my table and then taking my tray after I was done. Magazines to read and hand sanitizer wipes to use at end of meal. The restaurant was clean and those working were friendly. Very welcoming - clean restrooms. I can't say enough wonderful things about Chik-fil-a as a company, but this location, especially, is the subject of this review. I have an illness & I've discovered that ice, for some reason, has become a great comfort to me. So much so, that my husband goes to Chik-fil-A (this location) every other day or sometimes even every day, to buy bags of ice! Every employee we've EVER run across at any location is courteous, kind, & helpful! Raymond, at this location, is an especially kind & considerate employee! By now, most of the employees know my husband so well, they don't even have to ask what he needs-they know right away. But Raymond was one of the first to wait on my husband & always tries to accommodate us! The kicker is, I don't even think they know I'm sick. They just help because it's the right thing to do in a service industry & they're nice people. Whoever hires & trains the employees deserves a gold star, as well. We've been to Chik-fil-a restaurants all over the country & have never found an employee to be anything but wonderful! Keep up the great work! read more

I am surprised to see a few bad reviews for this particular CFA. I have been to this location several times and have never had anything but a positive experience. The food is always what you expect and the milkshakes are awesome. The chicken sandwich and fries are always hot and taste great. I think all CFA are run well and that is why they always do well. The only thing that can be a negative here is the lines are sometimes very long. read more

Came in during lunch and the service was terrible. I understand it being a lunch rush but that's no excuse. My son & I decided to dine in while waiting for my vehicle to be serviced. The cashier Nicholas didn't greet me and had a mug on his face. I had to force him to say hello. He didn't take that well and proceeded to give crappy service. The location itself is ok. Other reviews are correct! Drive thru terrible and customer service mediocre compared to other Chick-Fil -A's . Ate in with my grandson. I cleaned off table putting his leftovers in the bag for later and taking my tea with me. Went into playground. As soon as we got through the door an employee came in and said "no food in play area" and physically picked up the bag and drink. I said "sorry I didn't know. Her response rather rudely was "well it's posted all over the door! " I was nice the whole time and said I hated to waste a table outside by putting my bag and drink in the way. This is one of the filthiest restaurants I've ever walked into. The parking lot smelled like vomit, which I sometimes forgive because it might be a dumpster... However, when I opened the door everything around the baseboards, the legs of the chairs, and the bottoms of the tables was black with dirt from the mop water being gross. There was a sopping wet pile of dirty napkins on the counter and all of the caulk lines were caked in filth around the soda machines. I looked passed the counter and the equipment was visibly dirty. The sanitation score was from May, and I'm really not sure how they obtained it. It was actually so dirty, that I told the cashier it was really filthy and we were just going to go somewhere else. I have gone to the drive-through at this restaurant before and was disappointed in the food, but haven't gone into it prior to today ...now I will never be back. read more

I am happy to learn that the facility is undergoing renovation. I hope that upon reopening the employees and managers will also have been renovated as their customer service has been needing a make-over for some time. My last two visits, met with rudeness, had convinced me that those would truly be my last visits. Now that it appears the owner is trying to fancy -up the store it just may be that there will be some emphasis on customer service which frequently has been lacking. I'll try them again. read more

This is the worst Chick-fil-A anywhere. I live only 5 minutes away but will drive to another one 10 minutes away b cause the service at this one is so bad. They get your order wrong here way more than any other CFA or fast food place. It takes at least twice as long to get through their drive thru or to order inside. I once sat at the drive thru window for 5 minutes before someone noticed I was still there, because they had only given me half my order. read more

I am a frequent visitor of and huge fan of chick fil a. This particular location is the first one I've ever seen that was sub-par. Entire place was dirty...employees did nothing to clean up and spent a lot of time socializing. There was food all over the floor in both the serving area and the dining area. Tables were filthy. I never saw anyone sweep or wipe a surface and we were there for about an hour (toddler on the playground). The employees played around with the ice bucket, pretending it was a hat, then filled it with ice and refilled the drink coolers. The play structure was sticky and had old scraps of food in the cracks. Overall, a filthy place with no staff management. I was disappointed in this one!! read more

When using my cow calendar treat, the gentleman was struggling with the register on how to process it. After 2 people a manger finally appeared and was able to comp the cow calendar treat. Bad customer service for chick fil a. I went to a different chick fil a location this morning and they messed up my drive thru order and didn't give me my 12 chicken nuggets (no big deal, it happens). I didn't realize this until I got home, but I assumed I could go to a closer chick fil a location to ask for my chicken nuggets. I went to this location and showed them my receipt, but they refused to give me my nuggets. I had to drive an extra 30 minutes to the original location. From the customer perspective, it should not matter which location I purchased my food from, they should have given me my nuggets. Chick-fil-A has always been a big part of my family. Every Wednesday we go down to enjoy our freshly, made chicken sandwiches, but last Wednesday when we went my sandwich was soggy, and my son's fries were all stale. I tried them and they were stale as a saltine cracker. I would have complained but my son had to go to basketball practice at YMCA. I do not know if this how it always gonna be but I was not impressed. read more

I've been to this Chik-Fil-A many times for breakfast and I am still in disbelief on how many times they run out of Chicken Minis. I used to work for Chik-Fil-A and my brother is a manager of one and we NEVER ran out of chicken minis in the morning. It was my third time getting breakfast from them (the only chik-fil-a on the side of town that I work) and once again had to wait because they ran out of nuggets. Was the sandwich perfect? Yes. But, I had no straw for my drink. So basically I had to call my friend who grew up in the woods....when I say call, I had to walk...for 3 days straight...living of the land..at one point I had to eat pinecones to survive...have you ever ate a pine cone?! Its horrible! Finally, after being lost for a month and a half...I crawled into this camp. This old Indian man nursed me to health feeding me though this straw he made from animal bones...I ran away and brought this straw back, and my soda was flat....please don't forget the straw again. read more

The food is standard Chick-fil-A. Extremely yummy, moderately overpriced.. The difference is this location's service. It is TERRIBLE. Which seems shocking considering the standard "It's my pleasure". Sometimes I find that annoying, let's be honest. However....at this location, it would be a welcome change. They are just downright rude. I've witnessed a manager talking about an associate to another associate (while she took my money for my order), another manager insulting another manager behind her back and the girl who waited on me apparently (I hope) had just washed her hands and failed to dry them. She was dripping wet on on her hands, proceeded to take my debit card (now wet), and then hand me napkins, straw and my food all with wet handprints. All three of these are separate occasions. I love Chick-Fil-A - eat there at least once a week. But this Chick-FIl-A concentrates only on the customers in the drive through and not those who park and come in to eat. Today we waited inside for 15 minutes for a sandwich and salad along with many others, while the orders just kept going out the window.
