Good chicken sandwich but my order wasn't complete. They forgot to put the fries in the bag.

Ok so it took me two visits to write this review. I came Once alone, and once with my wife. I had a chicken sandwich, no surprise there. My wife got the nuggets. My chicken sandwich, both times, was a tiny piece of chicken in a bun. I don't understand why people like this place so much. I would take a Wendy's chicken sandwich over this any day. Not that I'm saying Wendy's is all that great, but come on, you can't beat that? My wife's nuggets were an 8 pack and she got 7. We are so not the people to care about something like that, but she spent 6.99 on the smallest chicken bites I have ever seen. We both laughed when she opened the box and I removed the top bun of my sandwich. My wife pulled aside the person that gave it to her and said she only had 7 nuggets and paid a lot for 8. The guy was incredibly respectful and very fast to correct the situation. The people and service were great I must say. We don't complain often and wanted to see how they would react for this review. If I could rate service separately I would give them a 5. read more

You go here for chicken - and the chicken is great. Whether it's a chicken sandwich, the nuggets or strips, they make very good chicken with a huge variety of sauces. The service is outstanding! They train their people very well. Friendly, polite service - always. Here's the surprise: Breakfast. They have great breakfast food. It's a little known secret that breakfast is their best food. Try the non-spicy chicken breakfast burrito with roasted veggies in it. The biscuit sandwiches start with biscuits that made fresh every morning. The hash browns are like a box full of mini McDonalds hash browns. Probably not good for you, but they taste good. Finally, while lunch and dinner are a little pricy, breakfast is kinda a bargain. I remember when Chick-fil-A opened in Crystal Lake, it was always packed to the point of ridiculousness. Since then it has settled down, I guess the shiny and new has worn out... regardless when it was packed I wouldn't go near it. Drove by the other day, not crowded, I'm eatin' chickn'. I will say, for fast food, the establishment is very clean, the workers are extremely friendly and helpful, and the little added touches (like center pieces on the tables) are a really nice touch. As far as the place and staff go, I give them a 5 star rating. As far as the food goes, the waffle fries were very good and the chicken sandwich was pretty good, maybe a little heavy, but decent. Now that it isn't a mad house there, I will be back. Very pleasant fast food experience. read more

Giving this a four star for a fast food restaurant. I was out and about in Crystal Lake, decided to put my political views aside, and walk down memory lane by checking out the local Chick-fil-A. They had a Chick-fil-A location at my university that was frequented by many students as it was on campus. This location was clean, busy, but efficient during a lunch hour. Their chicken sandwich really can't be beat, and their waffle fries are also delicious. I still do not understand why they put pickles on a chicken sandwich- but I just ask for them to be removed. All of the employees at this location were crazy happy and seemed like they were having a great time at work, so that was good. Overall, I would recommend Chick-fil-a, aside from all of their politics of course :) read more

It is MY PLEASURE to eat here. Seriously- for a fast food place, this is great food! I LOVE the honey roasted BBQ sauce- seriously so good! They have really yummy milkshakes too! The employees are always kind, helpful and cheerful. That is a rarity in the food industry (it's a hard job!) and especially in a fast food place. I also love how family friendly this place is! There are always various events and story times happening here. They do great fundraisers for local schools. And lots of opportunities for free food throughout the year. There burgers are good but I there friends just don't taste right. I have had waffle fries before and how they make it is not right. Plus how they built the location in Crystal lake if you TRY the open on Congress you will get a wall of cars for the drive thru. The only other way is of North west hwy. Which I think is not right. I think the have to fix that entrance off Congress. read more

My gps said I would arrive there at 10:33am I was in the mood for a breakfast sandwich from there I noticed breakfast ends at 10:30 , I then tried to order on line I have 5 minutes till BF ends can't get it to work so I called the girl tells me to download app I say I'm going to be 3 minutes past she said they won't serve, I was going to try and order but I decided not to felt off , I passed a Panera McDonald's in Algonquin I should've stopped at because I still had a 2 hr drive ahead of me, I'm not eating there again read more

What I love about Chick Fil A is their level of professionalism. Every one of their restaurants that I have been to, regardless of the state (we have lived in many different places), has consistently professional and friendly employees that actually seem to enjoy their jobs. Chick Fil A sets the bar pretty high in terms of customer service. I wish more restaurants would use the same approach. The food is always fresh and delicious and they use real chicken breasts for everything. No processed, particle board chicken here. I've always felt better about feeding my kids their chicken nuggets because I know they are getting a much healthier product. This particular location doesn't disappoint. They are exactly what I've come to expect from Chick Fil A. Perfect in every way. read more

The drive thru there is about as dependable as Portillos'. Which means it is very unreliable. Customer Service to them is what ever is convenient for chick-fil-a. For their convenience, chick-fill-a wants you to wait in drive thru for another 15 min to pick up what they forgot to give us in the first place. A process that already took 45 min now took over an hour. The best part. The manager tells my wife, "oh we forget stuff all the time". Seriously, manager tells a customer that. read more

The waffle fries are soggy not crunchy. The person that is refilling the ketchup doesn't need to get mad for ruining a stack if people need to take them. The cashiers need to know the sauces better so when asking they don't have to look them up to tell you what kind there's is. When putting a to go order make sure the sauce you ask for is in the bag so you don't have to ask twice. read more

I don't know what the hype is all about. I had a chicken salad sandwich. It was a very small sandwich for the price I paid for it. There was very little chicken salad in it and frankly, it didn't taste all that great. My husband had a chicken sandwich and he complained on the small size too. We were still hungry after we ate. Stopped at this location today to grab the kids some kids meals to make it a fun day. Staff was awesome; friendly as always. Every member wore gloves and face masks. They politely ask for credit/debit card to be used to reduce the possibility of cross contamination, which I was totally happy to oblige! Food is always hot. This evening was my first trip to a Chick-Fil-A. Ever. I've held a grudge ever since they were vocal in a popular political issue. That aside, I thought we would give them a try. The store was clean and the menus were nicely laid out. The staff was helpful with our first time ordering and the food came out a bit quickly. We had ordered chicken nuggets which were made with real chicken, however, I didn't expect them to be as tiny as they were. When I went to ask if I could order a set of 4 more, they brought them to our table at no charge. All and all, it was quite uneventful but it was nicer than any other fast food option (we don't typically eat fast food at all) and I felt good about what I had eaten, as opposed to that typical fast food guilt you get after eating at Greasy-Food-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named. Between the good (and real!) food and kind staff, I would say this place is worth a stop. read more

Ummm. Order taker took our order three times repeated to her,and she still left the cheese off the sandwiches .(which i paid for,but was 9 miles away by then) and kids were screaming at the top of their lungs and no one said one word to the parents ,like "please keep your childrens voices down" i know they cant control other patrons children ,but manager was listening to the screaming and everyone was rolling their eyes and never said one word. Went in on a busy Friday lunchtime and had a great experience. The place was wonderfully overstaffed and we didn't have to wait to order despite the dozen or so people who walked in with me. We sat down and waited barely a minute before our food was brought to us. So fast! An incredibly polite employee took my tray and trash when I finished the meal. As I was struggling to extricate myself and my energetic 1.5-year old from the restaurant, yet also get a refill, another employee offered and delivered my refill as I was wrangling said 1.5-year old. I can handle Chick-Fil-A's political views on gay/lesbian issues, to each their own and I shall not judge. I was very disappointed in this Chick-Fil-A location's military discount policy. This location's manager informed me that this franchise only offers the discount to service personnel in uniform. He then went on to say the franchise owner (who was a veteran himself from Houston TX) and who believes that veterans think they are "entitled" to a discount. Many other chick-fil-a offers the discount to "all" veterans with a valid military ID. This location should either offer the discount or not don't say you have a military discount for the PR value, but then only provide it to those that come in uniform. I would not go back to this location as they are not "entitled" to have any of my money. read more

Wow. This is a new restaurant, and I have to admit it was the best fast food experience I've had to date (granted, I almost never eat fast food). The service was super friendly and fast, the place was immaculate, the food was hot and tasty (especially the lemonade!), and they have a fun kid area that is walled off from the regular dining area. They even had some guy dressed up in a cow outfit walking around and waving to (scaring?) the children. Very good experience all around. read more

This restaurant is well organized and clean the wait staff is polite. I also love how they cater to kids with small cups of Cheerios by the condiments section. I only have one gripe about this location that has nothing to do with the restaurant for the workers. I'm just not sure why parents take their kids to play for long periods of time, and don't even watch them. There is a small play area for the kids and it is a madhouse at least it was when I went. That is to be expected but I was just surprised that very few parents were in there watching their children. There was such a difference in the age group that some of the kids were actually physically fighting, while some kids were basically crawling around. That part alone irritated me enough that I doubt I'll come back with my daughter. read more

Best fast food chicken you can get anywhere. Fantastic service all the time. Main area of criticism is that this is NOT the place to go for a nice conversation with a friend or spouse, or a place to enjoy a quiet lunch break away from work. There are children everywhere. Shoeless, screaming, running children. I get that it's a family friendly establishment, but it's super annoying to eat there and not get take-out. Most of the parents get their own table in the back and let their little ones run crazy. read more

We had our first visit a few months ago after ignoring this place for a long time. I was impressed with the food and thought we'll have to visit more often. I am more impressed with the staff then anything. After each visit they seem to get better some how. I'm not going to explain it all, they just get it. They do everything right. I am always shocked at how good they do everything! They make other fast food places look down right horrible. My most recent visit with my young daughter was the best. She was playing with some other kids in the play area. A parent comes out and tells a young employee that her daughter had been sick up inside the playhouse, apologized and suggested they get everyone out and get it cleaned. The young girl got everyone out and went to report it to the manager. A few minutes later a couple appears that I can only imagine were the owners, in there nice cloths, walking in to the room with cleaning supplies an proceeded to climb inside and clean the mess. I was floored. They didn't send one of the many young hard working kids in to do it. They went and did it them selves. What an example to the people they employ or a customer like myself.
