The manager at this location gave us very poor service. We were supposed to get 2 sides of Mac and cheese and were given 2 fries instead, so we went into the restaurant to get the correct sides. Instead of offering good service, the manager demanded we give back the two sides of fries and threw them away in front of our faces whereas usually a manager would've apologized and told you to keep them. She claimed we were getting a deal because the mac and cheese cost more, but it was not clear on the order what side we payed for regardless. read more

So, one year. It has been ONE YEAR since I had to get an emergency root canal and crown to fix the tooth I broke on a cherry at the Chick-fil-A in Des Peres, MO. The insurance company that handles their claims pawned me off on the cherry supplier, who said that since they slap a warning label on the huge jars of cherries, they're not liable. It took Sedgewick Claims Management Service a year to finally tell me to get lost. Meanwhile, the cost of the root canal and the crown fall entirely on us, and the bills are now in collections. Even small-potatoes lawyers aren't interested because the dollar amount is so small in lawsuit terms. I don't know what to do. read more

Sooooo we Love this place! I have had nothing but good experiences here. We are always greeted with a smile...service is unbelievably fast! If you are in the drive thru have your money ready because they are on it. We decided to dine in today, which we never do and the service and food was great as usual. I am so conflicted, this chain makes what is IMHO the best fast food in the midwest or south, but we love the gays too, they gave us a new appreciation for musical theatre and so much more. The vibe of the place is just a little too preachy family value stuff. Really, I am as progressive as you can get without being an actual communist and for my conflicted liberal friends, well this is america and Mr. Cathy has his rights to voice his backward and half assed views as much as anyone half wit in this country today. It is after all a privately held company. Now having made my own half witted position clear on the issue, a few words about THIS particular store. The staff, as in most Chick-Fil-A's is really top notch, so pleasant and helpful, (I fear Mr. Cathy has drugged them somehow-no fast food staff is that nice), any way, I've always found the place super clean. My only complaint is that the drive thru window is not well run and terribly slow, my advice, park and order inside to go, it's almost always faster, and oh yes, the architect who designed the parking lot and drive thru, some kid of mad anarchist, it can be a nightmare. I discovered Chick-Fil-A only 3 months or so ago. I know....it's not that I didn't know it was there, just that I never made it a point to try it. First off whenever I drive by during lunch time the line is way to long for me and for the most part I try to find a sit down restaurant on my lunch break. I had to run to the bank on my lunch break and the Chick-Fil-A was just down the street so I decided to try it and go through the drive through. Even though the line was somewhat long I was told that they are pretty efficient and moving traffic. Sure enough, no time at all I was ordering. I had the radio on and was following the car in front of me and it couldn't have been a minute later I was at the window. They had one guy holding a bag and another gal taking my money. The problem was that it moved so fast I wasn't ready. I can say that is the first time that I felt bad because they were way more efficient that I was. I love sweet tea! The other day at work I started to crave some, but of course nothing beats CFA! I am glad there is a CFA close enough to where I work on Saturday's so that I can visit when I get cravings. My visit the other day though wasn't anything at all similar to other visits. I understand lunch hour will be busy, but for some reason when I went the other day the line was out the door and there wasn't a free seat in the house! What was going on CFA? I thought maybe they were giving out something free, but I was wrong. It turns out everyone had the same craving I had. We all just wanted tea and chicken! I do enjoy CFA because no matter how busy they are the service is always excellent. I assume they hire happy people and these happy people have to continue to go through training to be happy all the time...even when customers are rude. I always get great service with a smile. I can honestly say that every time I have come to this location the manager is walking around the dining room helping out. He even got me a refill once! Impressive. I must admit I like it. I am also a fan of dipping sauces. I can't ever decide on 1 though and so I usually have 3 at any given time. I like the variety. CFA sauce first followed by Polynesian and then BBQ. All three are great. I recommend the BBQ as the dipping sauce for fries. Yes, their waffle fries in BBQ will steal your heart! Everytime I visit this location. Awesome service. Awesome food. It can get crowded by we move through the line quickly. Service is always friendly! Food is always hot and delicious. I'm pretty much stuck on chickin strips with fries and lemonade. The strips are high quality, juicy, crispy, tasty. The fries are waffle fries!!! Chick-Fil-A has my absolute favorite chicken sandwich. The sandwich gets 5 stars, but the review only earns 4 stars because I'm not crazy about the waffle fries and there are no other good side dish options. This location tends to have long drive thru lines. They should take a lesson from how the Chesterfield Valley location handles their busy lunch rushes. They put managers & staff in the parking lot. The first person takes the order on paper at your car and then gives you the order. You drive a few more feet and hand the ticket to the manager, who reads it via headset to the person inside, confirming the order is correct with you at the same time. This is all done way before you get to the normal order/menu board. By the time you get to the drive through window, someone is standing and holding your food while someone else handles the money. You're at that window less then a minute. It really keeps the line moving. Unfortunately, the Des Peres location hasn't figured out how to get their line to move so quickly, so expect a line if you stop by anytime around lunchtime. read more

Pleasant employees and food is always fresh and hot, however several orders in a row now, there has always been something missing. First time, I ordered 2 cookies, but only received 1. Had to go back! Next time, I ordered 2 salads, only received dressing, toppings, and silverware for 1 salad. Had to go back! This has happened each time I have ordered, which is about 3-4 occasions in a row now. Very frustrating and annoying to keep going back and look like I'm trying to get free stuff. There is another location that check marks the items on your receipt to make sure everything on your order is in the bag. They should implement that here. read more

Wow! First time dining at a Chick-fil-A and is amazing! Not just the quality of the food is much better than any other fast food chain (the market salad is great with strawberries and blueberries) but the customer service is outstanding. I ordered kids meals and a market salad for me, the cashier forgot to punch in the salad (or the machine didn't work). So I went to tell him, he not only apologized but also when the salad was ready he brought it to the table and then brought us complimentary ice cream as an apology. Also, while I was telling him I was missing the salad, another employee behind him overhead and told another one to rush a salad, sounding genuinely concerned. Mistakes will happen and is the way we deal with them that will make a customer either not come back or be loyal and promote your business. I'm definitely on the second group. I believe this was the first, free standing Chick-Fil-A in St. Louis, and boy, what a dangerous precedent it's setting for the other fast fooderies around town. Chick-fil-a is nothing new to me: I've been living in Atlanta for the past 5 years, so it was as ubiquitous down there as sweet tea, but it was a grand new surprise to people up here. Suddenly, they knew the joy of waffle fries, chicken biscuits, chicken sandwiches, sweet tea, and all served with a smile and the catchphrase ,"It's my pleasure." (As an aside, I believe there's something in the Kool-aid or employees are threatened with firing on the spot, if they don't respond this way.) Anyway, Chick-Fil-A, swept in to the Midwest with a vengeance, and it's putting up some stiff competition. The restaurant's clean, brightly lit, clean, well run with friendly employees and clean (do you see a pattern here?). And because of these facts, along with the fact that it's above average fare as far as fast food establishments are concerned, this place is always loaded. I've been here on a couple of different occasions for lunch at various afternoon hours, and no matter what, there's always people having a bite. Hopefully the new competitor in town will make some of the more lackluster restaurants step up their game as well. I only wish we could refill our own drinks, but the soda fountains are behind the counter. And if that's my biggest pet peeve (plus the fact that they're closed on Sundays), life's not too bad. read more

We called in a large order for a school a day early, yet chick fil a was 30 minutes late, causing lunch times to shift, messing up the day. I went to the Premier tonight and it was quite an event. Many people from corporate were there and also other Chick-Fil-A owners to wish Dave well. I was impressed by the generosity and also the Faith based business model. Being in corporate America myself, this is very uncommon. All the guests received a small breakfast entree as an appetizer. Then dinner was an open menu, so we could order anything, and it was all just as yummy as I remember from the mall. We both tried something new. I had the spicy chicken deluxe meal and my mom had the chicken salad sandwich with a side of fruit. We both finished everything! I tried the Chick-Fil-A sauce as well and it was tasty on my fries and my chicken sandwich. Then they came around with dessert. OMG! Pie and cheesecake, brownies, shakes and they all looked delicious. We each had a shake and split a brownie. I look forward to the free standing building and the drive-thru when I am in a hurry since the closest location to my house is at the mall. But I will still make sure to visit the mall locations too because that is always a treat :) The store is beautiful! I wish Dave and his staff all the best. I know it is a fast food chain, but I think that Chick-fil-A Des Peres deserves props for being far superior than other locations. With that said, this 5 star rating is relative. What makes this location awesome? Well, since you asked.... Although they are always pretty busy, especially during lunch hours, they are well staffed and smoothly operated. It is a brand new building, which opened in February 2011, so it is very clean. If you dine in, you will notice managers and other staff managers offering refills and table cleanup. Not to mention, the consistent quality food. The costumer service here is like no other I have noticed at a fast food restaurant. Great all around! read more

This location is located next to the Michaels and Golfsmith Golf/Tennis store in Des Peres. Chick-Fil-A is just about the same at any location but this particular store always provides service with a smile. The store is clean and service is very prompt. This location does have a play area for kids which is nice, as well as a drive through. This particular evening we were attending a "spirit night" for my kids elementary school. Its nice to see that they support local schools as well. Each time we have eaten here the food has been great. My kids love the chicken nuggets which is made with real white meat. Issues with the corporate company aside, they do have an awesome chicken sandwich. Plain and unadorned, the regular Chick-Fil-A sandwich is the bomb. A lightly breaded chicken breast on a bun, that's it. How is it so simple but so good?! This is not a super-processed chicken patty; this is a chicken breast. It's rare that I've tasted chicken so tender as well. And whatever spices and flavors they get into that thing, they got it right! While you are welcome to, you DO NOT have to add any lettuce, tomato, mayo, or cheese to this sandwich to have it come with plenty of flavor. If you get the Combo #1 (w/ the breaded chicken sandwich), you'll get a large portion of Waffle fries that are enough to share. For the drink, get the Diet Lemonade. I don't understand how they make this lemonade taste so good and call it "diet." Wow! It tastes just like the Penn Station lemonade...but with less sugar I guess? I'm not sure. It's good. read more
