I've definitely been sleeping on their baked chicken...absolutely delicious. Also, this location is pretty consistent, so. No complaints.

Lee's is definitely my choice of places to go for fried chicken, and it's been this way for quite a while. while it isn't the greatest, they do offer good tasting chicken at an affordable price. I like the fact they offer several different styles of chicken, with the famous recipe being the best choice of all their different styles of chicken. Another item that Lee's is famous for is their sweet tea which can be bought by the gallon. another favorite from Lee's is their golden delicious biscuits, a great addition to any of their many food deals..

The chicken tastes good but if you ask them to make fried pickles be prepared to wait for up to 20 minutes.

Oh I love the sweet tea by the gallon and the apple turnovers because you can get 2 for 99 cents and they are the bees knees.

I usually go for the Nugz but this time wanted to stay away from fried options so I got the STL salad, minus cheese and the summer sandwich also without cheese, cause I am a weirdo about cheese. We sat in the next room over at a high-top table. Our food was delivered in a timely manner by a friendly server. The STL salad was great, lots of peppadews, tomatoes, and onion. The dressing was just right, not too much and had a bright, vinegary flavor. The sandwich came on a brioche bun and it was so soft! I was happy with the sandwich, the chicken was cooked perfectly, and the avocado ranch was good. Great for a late Sunday lunch, quick and easy with good service and great food!

So I typically don't give this Wendy's my business as I've had nothing but bad experiences here. We pulled up to drive through, no one else in front of us, I felt pressured to make my choices, so I had to speed read the menu. Ok, quick decision I guess I'll have the Big Bag...with the bacon double cheeseburger...I wasn't fast enough to realize there's chicken nuggets with this order, I was asked what sauce I wanted...I said one minute as I was trying to locate sauce options...The woman in drive thru sarcastically said, "You need a minute to decide what sauce you want?!?!" So I just said the sauce that came first to my mind...ranch...I don't even like ranch. When we got to the window, I realized I forgot to order a mini vanilla softee, I asked if it could be added...She said no ma'am, I couldn't add anything to my order... the food was mediocre at best...cheeseburgers cold, everything cold. The owner Tom made it feel like we had our own personal chef taking care of us on our lunch date. The setting was a fun Classic St Louis Style Deli on The Hill. It's an old-looking sandwich joint on the Hill. Very little wall space visible due to the Berra and family tributes. Seems like the kind of place that should smell faintly of cigarettes decades after anyone smoked in the building, but it's actually clean and cool. The communication could have been better. Upcharge for my choice of bread. No prices are provided on the menu. Sandwiches, sides, and a drink for 2 people for $35 was much more than we anticipated. I wouldn't mind returning, but my wallet would have something to say about it. This is at least somewhat the fault of inflation... but with prices not posted in the restaurant, I wonder whether the prices vary. Maybe we paid a higher price as we attended the day of the house tour. Maybe not.

I recently stopped by after an appointment in STL. It was right at lunch time and it was also, opening day for the Cardinals. So when I entered, the line to order was already long. To my surprise, the one lady taking orders, moved that line quickly. So I give her major kudos. When it was turn to order, I was ready. I went with a Double and swapped out the American Cheese for Pepper Jack. For my side, I tried their Salt&Pepper Onion Rings. After ordering, I took my number stick and took a seat at the bar. Once seated, the bartender welcomed me and I ordered a draft beer. I barely had completed my Wordle and my burger basket was being slid in front of me. Before taking my first bite, I admired the crisp edges and actually ran my finger around them. My first bite was heaven. It proved to me that all a good smash burger needs is; ketchup, mustard, onion and pickles. The Onion Rings were made in house and the simple seasoning of Salt & Pepper made them a winner. While dining at the bar, I learned a new trick. If you're going to be sitting at the bar to enjoy your smash burger, you can order it from the bartender. That's right, no standing in line to order, you can go straight to the bar. Great staff. They all hustle and provide friendly and professional service.

Price: All together, with a dollar tip, I paid $27 and change, which to me is incredibly pricey for counter service. $2 for a dipping sauce is steep, and for a small container. Next time? I'd skip the dipping sauce and homemade lemonade to save $7. I'll be back but not running to pay this much again. The storefront: the direct out front, small parking lot was packed and people were going into the gated lot to find parking. Only one person working the counter when you first walk in which lead to a long line at the dinner rush that seemed to be moving pretty slow. We got in before the rush and got our food quickly after. Staff were kind and very helpful! Fairly clean with the food runners circling tables often to remove trash.
