I would definitely recommend this location over the one in Fairfax, because i absolutely hate driving in Northern VA traffic. They also have great service and I'm impressed how quickly the line moves when there are tons of people. When there are a lot if customers waiting in line, an employee will take people's orders while you are standing in line. This system does save a lot of time because then there are not a lot if people standing at the register trying to decide on what they want to orser. Once its your turn at the register, the Cashier will already have your order saved in the system. My favorite food there is the classic spicy chicken sandwich and the 8 piece chicken nuggets. The southweat chicken salad is also exceptional. On my last visit, I ordered the classic spicy chicken sandwich meal that came with waffle fries and sweat tea. It was fantastic! read more

It doesn't feel redundant to comment on just how great the service is at this location even though everyone else already mentioned it. That's just how friendly the atmosphere has been on my three visits since it opened. On its opening day managers were handing out free samples and drinks to the people in the (VERY long) line. The building is still brand new so it looks very good and feels just as nice. The food is a slight step above the Montgomery Mall location. It is your standard Chick-Fil-A menu but somehow manages to taste better than other ones. And sure it's fast food, but you can never go wrong with this Chick-Fil-A when you have that inevitable craving. Just hope it doesn't hit you on a Sunday like it always does for me :( read more

This location is really horrible. I walked in today and waited a long time for my turn to put in an order. I noticed they had at least 4 people working with only like 3 customers and they weren't moving. The staff were talking and not paying attention to the line forming. By the time I got up to the register I ordered a chicken noodle soup and a nugget meal. I had to explain in great detail to the employee Lilian that I wanted it on the side and not in the place of my fries. That made me feel like I should ask her for the breakdown of my order. She gave me so much attitude and made me feel uncomfortable. In the end she didn't even say have a nice day or smile or anything. I'm not used to that at Chick-fil-a. When I got home and looked at my soup it was also wierd looking. It usually looks like broth with veggies and chicken but this soup looked like canned soup pudding. I am really unhappy with my experience and will not be going back to that location again. read more

I give it 5 stars not because it is a five star restaurant- it's still fast food. It gets 5 because it exceeds otehr fast food and is even on the high end for a Chick-fil-a, which all seem to be very well run. It is a very nice Chick-fil-a. It is very crowded due to its location, but they have the staff and arrangements to handle it. The staff is very pleasant, the food comes out proper every time. What impressed me and inspired me to write is the management. When it is extremely crowded, they have people in the lobby directing traffic and greeting customers. They try to make you feel welcome. They bring the food out to you rather than make you wait. It is hard to convince a minimum wage teen to provide service with a smile (perhaps a bullwhip?), but here they do it. I recently ate there with my 2 year old, and the ice cream maker was down for cleaning. I told them no worries and went back to my table. Within a minute, the owner came out, apologized for the machine being down, and brought two fresh warm cookies for me and my daughter. It is the little things sometimes. read more

Chick-Fil-A isn't my favorite fast food place (I'm not really a chicken person in general). But I tagged along with my husband today and was so impressed. The girl at the register thought we received our food (but we hadn't). When we asked about it, she felt SO bad. She ran for the food and emphatically apologized while offering us coupons. One step further, the manager walked around checking in on customers at tables like we were in a real restaurant. Never, ever, in my life, have I seen a fast food manager care like that. Bonus: the restaurant is super-clean. I was there on a slow day so I can't speak for the busy times. But it didn't feel gross at all (like usual FF joints). When we call and report this we are told nothing can be done other than for us to be given whatever is missing from our order free the next time we come. I think this is the first Chick-fil-a where I had to wait in a really long line. It was literally out two sets of doors (into the cold), but I only waited in line for about ten minutes--it looked like it would take longer. It's a bad layout--small and cramped feeling. Two registers out of seven were closed at 12:55pm the Friday before Christmas, which didn't seem well thought out. The restrooms weren't very clean, with bits of tissue all over the floor and the trash cans overflowing. However, the food was good and service was extremely friendly. It probably says something that I'm so used to Chick-fil-a locations being immaculately clean and well-run that this one made a poor impression, but it just didn't quite live up to my expectations. read more

The food is always great! My gripe is how long it takes to get your food. Every time I have been to this location, it seems that someone is having a birthday party as the line reaches the door. It usually takes me about 5-10 minutes to order, and another 5-10 to get my food. Every other location I go to I usually get the food within 5 minutes from start to finish. I love this Chik-Fil-A. It has possibly one of the best fast food service around (and this is from a chain that has great service overall). Always fast, efficient, and very attentive. It's always busy, but compared to the Germantown, they always move people quickly. It helps there's no drive-thru, so I think it helps their service. read more

I have to say, that I have been to many Chick-Fil-A restaurants in past and I always loved the food and customer service. Simply this is the one of the best if not the best chain restaurants in East Cost. I probably went to this location on a wrong day, the food, as always was great but the service was not half as good as what you expect from the Chick-Fil-A customer. while I was placing my order, Ive noticed many good things, such as the owner as he approached the front of the restaurant washed his hands. Then the owner went to one of the cashier and i could hear the conversation as to wear a white shirt under the uniform shirt, so you could see the owner was on the top of his game. It was an older lady (Older than a 17 YO cashiers) possibly a manager, wearing a brown sweater, Jeans and a white tennis shoes walking all around the store. At this time I was waiting to refile my drink and they were two cashiers talking as if I had to wait for them to finish their convocation so I could get my drinks. At this time, i saw the Older Lady went to the cashiers said something to them and walked off passing me never asked me if I need it help. I was the only one at the counter, waiting with two empty cups and It was very obvious that I needed help. A short time later, one of the cashiers walked up asked me if i needed it something and finally refill my drink. This is an experience that you expect from low franchise store but not from Chick-Fil-A. I think it is unacceptable for a manager to walk around and ignore customers. wowwww. slowwwww. 14 min wait for a cookie. a premade cookie. even for the delicious chick-fil-a this wait is not worth it.

Let me start this by saying this is not typical of the Chick-fil-A's that I frequent. I stopped going to this Chick-fil-A due to poor customer service, It's less than a mile from my house! I drive out of my way and go to the Germantown location. I was running late this morning, I had to take my daughter to Children's Hospital (downtown DC) this morning for an appointment we made a month ago. So instead of going inside I placed and order for curb side delivery. After waiting more than 10 minutes, I went inside to find out what was going on. Were they busy, yes, where they understaffed ABSOLUTELY were !!! This seems to be a-typical for this franchise, which is why I stopped going there. After waiting a couple of minutes to even have my presence acknowledge, I was given my order without so much as a sorry were extremely busy. Now for the kicker, not only was my order wrong, but I missed the appointment and had to reschedule it, now we have to wait another month. I returned to the store with my in correct order, I literally stood at the counter for approximately 5 minutes, had 3 "supervisors" and the only cashier, walk past me twice before someone acknowledged my presence. I showed the "supervisor" the incorrect order that I saved since this morning. Asked for a refund and walked out. I know you can't pay people to give a damn but geez, how difficult is it to look at someone and say we will be right with you. In comparison I went to the Chick-Fil-a on John Hopkins Road, placed my order while in the mobile order delivery and had my food in less that 10 mins. The quality of service between these 2 locations is night and day. I frequent the John Hopkins store daily, in the mornings on my way to work. They recently had a some staff turn over, you wouldn't know that unless you knew the staff there. Customer service did not suffer because of personnel change. read more

Although not fast food lovers in general, my elderly parents love Chick-Fil-A and have since one opened in my home town over 30 years ago. This means I have been to more than a few locations (most more than once). Everyone was thrilled to have one open so close to home. This has to be one of the best fast food franchises around. The service is almost always excellent and food is indeed at the top of the fast food food chain. This particular location is the best of the best.
