Dear Chick-Fil-A in Hagerstown, I have a few questions for you: 1. Why were you so hoppin' on Memorial Day? Were you the only restaurant open in the county on Memorial Day, as my hasty research led me to believe? Or do the people of Hagerstown enjoy a spicy chicken sandwich with their memories of veterans? That said, considering the volume of customers, the bathrooms were quite clean. 2. Why did I remember the waffle fries to be so much more delicious than they truly are? The waffle fries, while crispy, are unsalted and taste too much like potatoes. I don't go to fast food joints for food that tastes like its components. I go for fries that taste like Pringles. 3. Along those same lines, is your spicy chicken sandwich slipping? I used to dream about this sandwich. When everyone was boycotting Chick-Fil-A, I thought, "I understand why I would not want my dollars to line these executives' pockets, but that spicy chicken sandwich..." However, I fear the sandwich is going downhill. The breading is kind of mealy, and it sweats off the sandwich while it's still in its slipcase. I guess that means it's goodbye for us, Chick-Fil-A. My complaint is that they were not open on a snowy day. The little sign on your door apologizing does no good when Ive followed 4 of your signs for two miles to get from the highway. Politics aside, Chick-fil-a is awesome. Sadly, in New England, we do not have stand alone stores. We stopped here twice on this road trip. Super clean and newish restrooms, clean lobby, great food and service. On the way down, we stopped for breakfast. Andy had a chicken biscuit and I had a spicy chicken breakfast burrito. The burrito was surprisingly delicious. On the way back, I got a spicy chicken wrap. It was pretty good, but it drives me crazy that they don't put the dressing on it. read more

Slowest Chic-fil-a drive through ever visited on 8/5. Was not too busy at the time either. Plenty of employees available outside. Nice place, lots of fans and water mist flying around for 82 degree weather. Lastly, defective straw for my shake... split down the side. Came here while in transit to Michigan - how else would I want to start my 8 hour drive? This location is clean, the employees are friendly, the service was fast, and the food as always was delicious. I got the chicken biscuit egg and cheese and it was delicious. First time at one of these.....fantastic! Dinner on a Friday night and it was mobbed BUT they were efficient, friendly, food was delish. They even had employees cleaning the tables & sweeping food liter....never seen that at a fast food place . Highly recommend it. I had a church group of about 40 people and they served us quickly, nicely, and didn't mess up a single order. Yesterday I went to this particular Chick-fil-A after a long rigorous day of shredding the slopes of Whitetail Ski Resort. Within 15 seconds after ordering my #1 meal with an additional 12 count nugget, I was asked a name for my order. But unbelievably, I received my meal before I could even say my name. As fast food goes, the best! Always clean, always yummy. The sweet ice tea is the best. You can even buy a gallon and take it with you! I love the Chic-Fil-A sandwich. I get it deluxe, with lettuce and tomato. It's a breaded chicken breast fried up nice and tender. They aren't open on Sunday. Which is sometimes inconvenient. Best fast food you can get (except maybe tied with Chipotle). Their chicken sandwiches are always steaming hot - I love the individual wrappers that seal in the heat! Sometimes the sandwiches come out TOO hot, so you can see that they go right in the bags after coming off the grill. Yum. I also love that the managers walk around and offer to get you drink refills or take your trash while also asking how your experience was. I don't understand how that could happen because their food is normally made to order and fresh. I took one bite and it tasted weird so I spit it out. Everyone loves chick fil a especially this location. There could be 20 cars in line and they wouldn't dare have you in line for more than 10 min. This location especially has very polite and respectful team members & the food is always spot on and they have NEVER gotten my order wrong!!! When they are busy, they'll ask you to pull into a parking spot with your hazards on to wait for your food... only it's Chick-fil-a at lunch time... so there are no parking spots to pull into. Poor drive thru service! Shove a big order in one bag. Impossible to see if your order is all there without taking everything out, while sitting in the drive thru line, in your car! They forget items ALL THE TIME!! With so many people at the window you'd think they would have someone quality inspecting the bags so they won't forget things. read more

I don't know why everyone praises this chic fila so much, compared to every other one I've been to this is one of the absolute worst. For starters, the cars back up so far that it impedes traffic on the main road and makes me want to avoid the area entirely. Now I understand that we're in the middle of a pandemic and businesses are adapting but it's just kinda ridiculous to me that people actually praise this drive thru system that makes it, if not impossible, highly unpleasant to get to the surrounding businesses. Not only is their drive thru extremely long and frustrating in countless ways, but it's almost a guarantee that at least every other time you get your food you'll be missing at least one item. This wouldn't be a big deal if the line weren't so long because, for one, when I finally get my food I want to get out of there so badly I forget to even check to make sure that everything's there, and two, there's no mechanism to retrieve your missing goods without waiting in line and repeating the horrendous process all over again. It's almost as if this chic fila has lost the very thing that made it good in the first place. It was always such a friendly and inviting place; however, in recent months I feel as though the staff couldn't care less to even look you in the eyes or answer a question as simple as "how are you", as the only thing they're worried about is getting to the next person behind you. read more

I walked up to four employees standing in front of their registers, I was the only guest in line, two were so heavily involved in a conversation with one another they couldn't help but not notice a customer waiting in line (the only customer) the other two seemed to be competing in a "let's see who's not going to help the guest" game. After a few more awkward moments I rose my hand, a harmless way to bring enough attention to myself that someone standing on the other side of the counter could no longer ignore my presence. I paid for my call ahead order, ( yes I called ahead so my order would be nearly ready when I arrived) then waited for a very simple nugget platter. After 20 mins I spoke up, asked if my order was almost ready and was told they were counting my nuggets, after another 5 mins of standing I was slightly annoyed and asked again, still counting? After 30 mins my order was filled and I was now late for my friends birthday party. No acknowledgement from management, no apologies from anyone on staff, very disappointing service. read more

The Hagerstown CFA is extremely clean and the food is very good. The staff are eager to please, very clean, very nice, and extremely professional. The drive through is very fast, even when wrapped around the building, which is everyday during lunch. The inside line is a tad bit slower, but still very fast compared to other places. They also bring you your food now, which is very cool :) We also like that they trade the kids 'toy', which is always a book or educational item instead of those dumb toys that kids don't like anyway, for a kids ice cream. The play area is the only thing we don't like about CFAs, it's hard to monitor your child even while standing under the jungle gym looking up. We intercepted the beginning of something potentially dangerous the last time we were there, but only b/c we are extremely vigilent while our child is playing in there. Other parents literally let their kids play without supervision while they eat in the dinning area. The rules are not enforced, so it's really play at your own risk, and many times children who are definitely too old and too big for the play area were running amouk with no consequences. read more

The incredibly courteous cashier named Brianna allowed me to retain the price of the cheaper meal, keep the meal, and still get my lunch meal. There was no inconvenience to me whatsoever.
