What are you expecting from a fast food restaurant, five stars? No that's a bit reaching. Chick-fil-A has to be one of my favorite fast food restaurants. This location however; isn't so. While it is the closest location to me, I honestly hate giving my business to this location. The service here sucks. But when you're craving Chick-fil-A, you kind of just suck it up. The Lakewood, Cerritos, and downey location has never disappointed me on my orders like this location. Reasons why service is bad: I've been limited on my sauce intake. I normally request 3 ketchups because it's the only sauce I use for my nuggets and fries. And they have told me I was only allowed 1 because they didn't order enough and didn't have enough to supply everyone. How is that my fault? You think 1 ketchup is going to suffice my medium order of fries and 8 count nuggets?! I think not. I've tried to scan the app to collect my points and their machine was down. Told me I could enter it in with my receipt, and then didn't give me my receipt... there goes my 127 points I lost out on. I always ask for my fries well done, extra crispy. They say okay, and then I get mediocre fries that has been sitting under the heat lamp for who knows how long. They give me an attitude when I tell them I wanted well done fries and give me some lame excuse about how they were already well done but now I have to wait and pull over for them. (I never mind waiting for my fries to be cooked the way I want it. Just cook it how I want it) Now they throw in a note saying they are no longer accepting requests for well done fries. Like I don't understand if people are willing to pull over and wait for their food, that the restaurant can't accommodate what we want? Reasons why I come to this location: I want Chick-fil-A. This is my usual Chick-Fil-A, I stop by and get dinner here at least once a week. I came through the drive thru, yesterday and was greeted with the usual great service, but I couldn't help but notice on this occasion, not one, but TWO of people serving me looked to be freezing. (i will not be saying which individuals to avoid any sort of repercussion) I then asked them why the heaters weren't on as I've seen they use in the past. They then informed me that the management haven't given them a clear answer as to when the heaters will be turned on. I find this to be absolutely alarming that these kids are just supposed to suck-up the cold weather and have to be given an "okay" to use the heaters rather than being able to just turn on the damn heaters when they're cold. read more

I stop by to pick up breakfast before jumping on the freeway for an hour and a half drive and I always order the same thing a number 7 with no cheese and a coffee. I visited this Chick-fil-A location on a Thursday around 1:30 PM and went through the drive thru. The parking lot is tight but they do a good job of directing traffic with signs, and there are two lines to make everything go more quickly. Your order is taken by an employee while you're in line, and you can pay with a card right then and there (I don't believe this is an option for cash payments, but I'm not totally sure). A second employee will approach your window to confirm your name and give you a receipt. It's all very organized, and everyone is good at their jobs. You then merge with the other lane and drive to the standard window, but there are three more people standing in front running food up and down to cars in front of and behind you. It's a little bit of a weird system, and you'll often get stuck behind cars ahead of you still waiting for their food, though the employees are sure to make you aware of that and let you know it will just be a few moments. This time around I ordered fries with dipping sauces and a small cookies and cream shake. The shake was very good, creamy, and tasted like real milk. The fries were hot, crispy, and seasoned well. One irksome issue that I have experienced every single time I visit revolves around sauces. When taking your order, they ask you which sauces you would like and how many of each. They go through the trouble to put your condiments in their own cute little bag with a see-through window, yet they ALWAYS get the number wrong. Every time. I'm not sure what you would expect from a fast food chain, but you wouldn't expect rude service. The team members I've encountered in the last few months have been disrespectful and unacceptable. More consistently many of drive through employees were discriminatory and I would overhear slurs thrown towards multiple customers. I've noticed an overall decline in hospitality, as well other people. They've experienced more hostility than hospitality. The directors at this location need to start taking this more seriously. After my first bad experience here, I should have checked the reviews. This location needs a major overhaul in service and process, which means MANAGEMENT! Each time, I ordered through the app for mobile pick up through the drive thru. The first time, there were items in my order missing. First, I waited for an extended time for the food, then they told me my drinks two large lemonades, one requested with lemon wedges, weren't ready, but they were working on them. After waiting a minute more for just the drinks they said they had run out of cut Lemons and asked me to pull to a numbered spot. After waiting 5 more minutes, I got out of my car and went in for my drinks. However by now, my food is also getting cold. I told the manager I was waiting outside for over 5 minutes on top of the 3 minutes I waited in the drive thru. She said they were cutting Lemons. But, they were cutting a batch of Lemons instead of just getting my drink out. At my request to adjust, she made my lemonades with no Lemons so I could be on my way. This next time I again ordered through the app during lunch time. About 25 cars line, Checked in and there were about 10 cars before my order eden I checked in. When I arrived at the window, the manager first said he didn't see my order by name. After confirming my first name, he said I was now checked in and they were making the order, but I needed to go wait AGAIN at a numbered spot. I never have these issues at Lakewood, so I'll be driving further to get better service. read more

Ordering went by quickly, but my goodness... my food didn't come out until 20 MINUTES later. Even though I dined in, I had to go to the counter to get the food myself. I showed the manager my receipt and asked him why it was taking them so long to bring me my burger. He then took a burger out from the oven, gave it to me, and sincerely apologized. Strange how everyone from my table received their food, even those who ordered after me. Someone from my table was supposed to get the same burger as me, but instead they gave her chicken nuggets. Just one minor suggestion. Don't put the food under the fan that blows in the drive thru window because you are actively cooling down the food before the consumer even gets to eat it. I sat in the drive thru and watched my food under that fan for a good 2 - 3 minutes as I was waiting my turn. I got my food, parked, and my fries were already lukewarm after 30 seconds of having my food. This is probably why chic fil a food is always cold when you get it. read more
