First time ever at a Chick-fil-A. Now I know what all the hype is about. I was driving home from NY to FL and decided to see what the fuss was. It was 11:15 am, and as I approached the parking lot, the drive thru had at least 15 cars on the line. The parking lot was practically full. I thought "Who eats chicken at 11 am on a Wednesday." My excuse was that I had been driving since 6 that morning, so for me, this was lunchtime! The first thing I noticed was how many families with children were eating. It was such a clean, bright...cheerful place. The vibe was kind of almost "Disney-ish." By that I mean everyone, from the employees to the people eating, seemed genuinely happy to be there. I was happy to see that I could go and order at the counter...no kiosk necessary. The cashier directed me to the best sandwich based on what I told her...the deluxe chicken fried chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato, cheese, waffle fries, and a chocolate shake. I sat down and a nice retired-but-working man named Les brought me my food. We had a nice conversation--I told him this was my virgin visit and that I was thoroughly enjoying. my food. He said "Where have you been all this time???" When I answered "MacDonald's," I thought he would lose it. Anyway, the food was fabulous. I know...it's fast food, how can I get so excited? But I just love fried chicken sandwiches, and this just excelled and met every expectation I had. The fries at McD's are still the best, but the waffle fries here were pretty darn good too. We opted on the nearby Chick-fil-A which I never get around to visiting much since there are no close restaurants near my own home. Ordered up a spicy chicken sandwich with fries and one of their delicious shakes while my dad opted for a chicken salad. Truth be told there was more chicken in his salad than was on my sandwich so I know for the next time. The place was nice and clean and the staff very courteous. When I checked in on Swarm, it was pointed out that they had been rewarded for their excellent customer service and that was nice to see. This is a quick stop on my way home. Very familiar with this location, it's one of my regular stops. Food is fresh and hot, the service is always polite , and the lobby is usually busy. My husband ordered our meal. Because we are on the road we chose to get Chick-Fil-A chicken sandwiches and nothing else. The sandwich is made up of a boneless chicken breast, two pickles and a toasted and buttered bun. Chick-Fil-A is one of my favorite places to get food from. I love the flavor of the buttered bun with the chicken and pickles. Just beware that these restaurants tend to get super busy and there could be a slight wait inside or even in the drive thru. First time EVER going to a Chick-fil-A. This location is always busy, but took a chance at around 2:30 for a late lunch. The parking lot was super busy, but I got lucky and found a spot as someone was leaving. Staff was very friendly, and our order was taken very quickly. A few empty seats in the dining room, so we opted to dine-in. Everything was clean - tables, floors, etc. Great job, guys! Thanks for keeping it clean! The older gentleman who brought our order was super nice! Everything was hot and tasted fresh. Waffle fries were a little limp, and my chicken sandwich a little smooshed, but not a big deal. Food was good. I didn't think it was "amazing" or anything that remotely justified the long lines and droves of people waiting, but that's just my opinion. My son enjoyed the nuggets, but thought they were a bit small. I thought the chicken sandwich was small-ish as well, and I was still a bit hungry after eating. All in all, a positive experience that was highlighted by the professional and courteous staff. Will I be back? Maybe. If you are going to order delivery you are better off just going through doordash. I ordered food at 1:35pm and the delivery said 1:55-2:10. Then at 1:56 the updated changed to 2:47-3:09. Since it said still preparing, I called to cancel. I was just going to reorder through door dash not a big deal, but when I called, they said the driver already had our order and it would not her there that late. At 2:24 I called back again asking for an update which I was told the driver would be there within 10 mins. The food was not delivered until 2:43pm. After sitting in the car for an hour the food was no longer hot and fresh. Here's the Scoop: So excited to be able to get food, we jumped off the highway and stopped at Chick-fil-A. They were organized and on top of orders. They arrange two drive throughlines and had workers coming up to your car window taking your order with little tablets. We were in and out of line in less than 10 minutes. Food was hot and tasty. I love this place. Where else can you get great consistency an great service all the time at a fast food restaurant. This place is always PACKED but worth the wait. The drive thru is usually insane an crazy but it actually moves very fast. They definitely have this down to a science getting you order and getting you out of there as quickly as possible. No matter how many times I've been here the food has always been great and the service has always been wonderful. They never seem to get frustrated with the amount of people they have to serve every day. Which I'm sure takes a lot of patience. I've tried just about everything at Chick-fil-A and it is all been very good. From the salads to the chicken strips to the sandwiches it's all great. The milkshakes are also a go to for me. And the mac & cheese I have to say wow it's probably one of my favorites for fast food. It's always very clean and tidy when you go in and there's always someone cleaning if it isn't. It was about 9pm and I went through the drive through. I ordered a large fry and a water. When asked for condiments I said Creamy Salsa Dressing and there was going to be a few; so, I got just the fry. I paid and promptly pulled around to the window and there were two lanes of vehicles. The car closest to the window started complaining about how last time they ordered a chicken sandwich but they got a grilled one instead and they were asking for an extra sandwich. The line started building a lot as several cars were at a standstill as the lady in her car kept complaining. But as a many year reward member, I am disappointed that they do not have a fast track for mobile orders!! Enter the 21st-century people! They said I had to order a day in advance for the tray...here's the kicker: they could give me four 10-counts for $57 instead of 40 in the tray for $38. Make it make sense. There is no additional work, yet they wanted to charge me almost $20 more for the same product. I have had a bad experience every time I go to this Chick-fil-A. This last time I waited in the drive through for an hour just to be told they didn't see my order. They finally found it and told me to park and they would bring it. I waited another 10 minutes for two spicy chicken meals and a four count of tenders. I lobar Chick-fil-A, but the Palm Coast one will never receive my patronage again. I am very disappointed that the only Chick-fil-A within 30 miles is so bad. And to top it off, after we get home and start eating, my daughter gets two bites into her spicy chicken sandwich and finds a hair in her sandwich. I have a read beard and am bald, she is blond.
