I recently ate here twice during my last trip to Palm Desert, and only because I do like Chick-fil-A in general, and it was on my way to my destination. I've decided it's official: I don't care for the mobile order. You can sit there for several minutes without any kind of acknowledgment, and you're too far away from the window to see what's going on. Depending on the number of cars waiting, it can be slower than regular ordering. So that's not necessarily against this Chick-fil-A, but just an observation. See my picture for my most recent trip during breakfast. I love the Chicken Minis, and they always come (from other Chick-fil-A's) nice and orderly. And these came like the picture I took. I can't pinpoint it, but the employees at this Chick-fil-A don't seem as caring or friendly as others. I get that it's 110+ degrees outside, but a smile would be nice. read more

Ordered a grilled chicken club and a spicy chicken sandwich. The grilled chicken "Patty" was about a 1/4" thick and ice cold, seriously! Had to take it back and get a crispy one. Most Chick-Fil-A's I've gone to are very welcoming and willing to make their kids meals or regular sandwiches for an additional time during breakfast time but this location did not allow anything other than breakfast. We got the little breakfast bites but were disappointed on the freshness of the bread and portions of the nuggets. They were smaller than usual. Anyhow, probably won't be returning to this precise location. I prefer waiting the additional wait time for a regular sandwich at a different Chick Fil A. Quick stop at Chik Fil A - the dining room and restrooms were clean. We ordered 2 small items from the breakfast menu during breakfast time for dine in - a spicy chicken biscuit and a 4 piece chicken minis - no hash browns or drinks. It took 16 minutes to get our food. The dining room was not busy - there was about 8 people in the dining room between 5 different tables. I haven't been to Chick-fil-A in a while & this visit wasn't as good as our last in restaurant visit. What was good: Short wait time on a Wednesday evening around 9 PM. They close at 10 PM. Waffle fries and sauce were great as always. Flowers on each table were a nice touch. Our clerk was kind and helpful. What wasn't the best: The new cups, lids don't fit well and can pop off if not careful. Only got three sauces for two orders of chicken strips, had to ask for more. No one checked on our table like in past visits. Chicken strips tasted extra oily. Several people were looking for a trash can when leaving. There's only one at the front exit, not at the side exit. Not the best experience this time, but still appreciate the usual Chick-fil-A hospitality. Management, would you please consider not frying your food in Canola and seed oils? This time was different, mainly because the owner went above and beyond to greet us! Yes, the actual owner! We love CFA. We eat there at least once a week. We are in Palm Desert traveling and decided that was what we wanted for breakfast today. We were notified when we were placing our order we could no longer order a sandwich off the lunch menu. We devised a work around by ordering two breakfast filets, a side of pickles and a bun. The girl taking our order seemed okay. The other employee, Jennifer, seemed annoyed. The remaining experience was far lower than any other CFA we've been to. We have actually never encountered a rude CFA employee, but today we did. We subsequently asked for a few condiments and she didn't even look us in the eyes. Very disappointed in this experience. It feels like family when you step into the Palm Desert Chick-fil-a. I love everything about this restaurant but especially the food. My guess that complaining comments are mostly for having to wait in line because it's so popular. The food is always delicious- the best chicken fast food you can find. The ingredients are fresh. While there are young servers the manager leads are great at raising up the NextGen workers. And I've never been to a fast food restaurant where the owners are on the frontlines with a smile. Truly a unique experience. I go 2x a week on average. Have you tried their breakfast. Wow, I love the fresh fruit. And there is always fresh flowers and comfy seats. Stopped here on the way home from Indio yesterday. We were starving so I forgot to take pics. My husband ordered a Deluxe Chicken Sandwich with cheese and fries. I ordered a Kids Meal, which came with two chicken strips, fries, and a drink. It was the perfect amount of food for me. The waffle fries were delicious, as were the sandwich and chicken strips. Victory took our order, she was very pleasant and easy to deal with...Victory told me they've been open since July 1.... They seem to have worked out any issues.... This place never fails to amaze me. I came in today to try the new jalapeño ranch club sandwich, and wow it definitely lives up to the hype. The food was fresh and very flavorful. The sauce it came with was so good I finished it and thought, "Damn, I wish they gave me a second," and they did! I love when places go the extra step and don't skimp. They even gave me two forks for my fruit and grilled nuggets. This place has the drive thru on the right side of good. They had two people taking orders, and then when you pull up to get your food, there is another person there to walk the food to your car. Assistant Manager Maj was absolutely amazing. Went in for a $200 very large order yesterday at noon. I suppose someone else took it. Maj said hold my beer, and got to work without missing a beat! First time not getting the regular chicken sandwich (which is always delicious). This time I went "healthy" and got a grilled chicken club lettuce wrap. The lettuce look old and wilted and was less wrapped as it was just there. Some places do wraps right. Chick-fil-a isn't one of them. read more

I'm a huge fan of Chick-fil-a. We have several in Orange County that we go to and the service and cleanliness are usually always on par. Last night we went to this location in Palm Desert ( our third time) and it was the worst experience. First off, I walked up to the counter to order and several employees were talking with each other and I know that at least one saw me standing there, yet they all continued to chat... really?? Tables and chairs in the dining area were dirty and greasy. There was something that had spilled on the counter where you wait for your food or get refills of your beverage and after 10 min. not one employee had attempted to wipe up the spilled liquid...I watched many of the employees just chatting with each other... There was also liquid on the floor of the kitchen ( that no one had wiped up) and in the take out area of the kitchen there was visible trash on the floor. I don't understand the hype of Chick Fil-A. I don't get how people make excuses for a fast food eatery saying things like it was a 58 minute wait for my food, but still gave this place a 5-star rating. If this had been another fast food place, the review wouldve been bad, but somehow any complaints from other fast food places get a 5 star rating here. This eatery profiles you, as you can see in the pic. No other fast food place does this. Does the staff at Chick Fil-A have a very short memory as to who ordered what? In other news, food is neither bad nor good, definitely nothing to email anyone about. Chick Fil-A is neither a place to splurge nor a place to eat your feelings, the food is just terribly average to do that and there are better places to splurge and/or eat your feelings. After all, who gets bummed out about something and picks Chick Fil-A to eat their feelings at?? Ask yourself that before eating here. After three months, this location cant get it together, either via drive-thru, mobile or dine in. The staff is completely overwhelmed, food is a 30 minute wait dine in and tables are super dirty during lunch, which is when I had my meal. If one had to wait over 30 minutes for dine in for their lunch at another fast food place, it would be unacceptable, but here are CFA lovers, giving this CFA 5 stat reviews. You really should NOT NOT NOT come here for lunch, dine in, mobile or drive thru because youd be late going back to work. This is a fact 90 days since this CFA has been open dealt with and workers cant work fast enough to get your food. How is it that all the food has been all premade before you even order at this Chick Fil A, but still wait 30 minutes or more for a dine in lunch, with messy tables and still get 5 star reviews?? Palm Desert truly takes the cake on this one, since this is the same city that only allows drive-thrus next to the freeway, yet its fast food that gets 5 stars regardless of quality of service, condition of food and order correctness. What kind of Yelp review logic do Chick Fil-A aficionados have to give a fast food place 5 star reviews after being open 90 days, but cant get it together, in service, food quality or otherwise?
