Chick-fil-a in general ------------------------------------- Chick-fil-a is a great restaurant. Their food is generally much less bad for you than similar fast food alternatives. As other reviewers mentioned, they have waffle fries which are cut from the potatoes without peeling them which makes them much better for you than normal fries. They claim to have invented the chicken sandwich (I don't know if this is true) and it is probably among the most popular items on the menu, but I always get the chicken nuggets or chicken strips. It might have changed with the "new recipe" they promoted for their strips, but it used to be that the nuggets had a bit more spice to them than the strips. Now they might use the same breading, I'm not sure. They have chicken salad sandwiches now, but they're pre-made and I didn't care for it. You can get salads, including one which comes with chicken strips that are packed separately. As an alternative to fries, they offer fruit cups which aren't bad. They are mostly apple chunks, but include grapes, orange, and strawberry. They appear to be cut fresh so are good quality. They offer a pretty good chicken noodle soup, and coleslaw that I haven't tried. They have a variety of dipping sauces for the chicken. The one already mentioned was Polynesian, basically a sweet and sour sauce. They also have BBQ, honey mustard, buttermilk ranch, and one called Chick-fil-a sauce which is a honey bbq sauce I think. I don't know if it has always existed or if it's a new sauce flavor they're trying out. I don't care for it, but others do. For dessert they offer soft serve ice cream cones which I haven't tried, cheesecake that I tried once on "cheesecake day" when they were giving it away (it was ok), and brownies which are somewhat dense cakey brownies with frosting which aren't my thing, but a friend really likes them. My favorite is their "hand spun" milkshakes, particularly the cookies and cream one. They have seasonal ones including mint chocolate chip, latte, and currently offer chocolate peppermint which I haven't tried. For breakfast they offer a variety of sandwiches that I haven't tried, cinnamon rolls which didn't do much for me, and the best thing is their chicken minis which are their chicken nuggets wrapped in a doughy roll with a sweet buttery taste. They're excellent! You can get fries, but by default they offer mini homefries in the form of deep fried round pellets of minced potato. They're not bad, but the fries are better. For drinks they offer the standard soft drink fare plus regular and diet lemonade and sweet and unsweet tea which are very good. Refills are free. They offer milk for kids, I don't think refills of those are free though. They claim to be the first fast food restaurant to open in shopping malls, apparently the malls didn't think it would be good for them! The founders were religious and believe it's important for employees to have Sundays off for family and worship so they are always closed on Sundays, even in shopping malls! This is probably a good hook for people too as I find I often want to go and realize it's a Sunday, or think I better go Saturday because they'll be closed Sunday. This particular location ------------------------------------- Chick-fil-a restaurants are owner operated and appear to be given lots of lattitude, so quality can vary by location. This particular location is decent. It is very clean and the staff is competent. But the food seems a bit bland for some reason. I'm not sure how this is possible as much of the ingredients are pre-made and shipped in I'm sure. But the Chicken Minis aren't nearly as good here as they are at other locations. This location is apparently operated by someone who is heavily religious and it's near several huge churches. There is often literature and posters promoting church events in the entry way. I'm not religious myself so I don't have a problem with this. What does bother me though is that they play Christian rock music at a somewhat loud volume. And at least the music they choose to play seems to be fairly repetitive and singularly focused. The Chick-fil-a I eat at regularly plays music without words at a low volume, so it could be equally themed, but isn't as distracting. This location is near where I work though, so if I want to go for lunch this is the one I would go to. I find myself avoiding it for these reasons though. read more

1. I cannot say enough good things about Chick-Fil-A in general. I respect the fact that they focus on quality of the food and stellar customer service. (Yeah, the closed Sundays are annoying, but I can understand it, I guesssss). They have made every improvement possible in the name of customer satisfaction and productivity. Long drive-thru lines? We'll stick a person with a tablet out there to expedite. Parking lot too crowded? We'll put orange cones and signs to help direct the traffic. Wrong food order? We'll get it replaced in a jiffy. It's a very well-rounded establishment with systems that WORK. 2. I cannot say enough good things about this particular Chick-Fil-A and its staff. The managers are wonderful. They have remarkable facial recognition and are aware of their repeating customers... and I only come here once every couple weeks (I swear). That's a lot of faces to know! Chick-fil-A may be good, but their customer service at this location isn't always up to scratch. About an hour ago I started an order for them via Doordash because I'm at work and can't make it to them. The estimated time of completion and delivery was 53 minutes. Okay, fine with me--that's about when lunch actually starts anyway. I filled out my card information and made the order. I enjoy Doordash's little delivery status icon so I kept it open, thinking it would move. It never did. But I didn't think it was strange at first that it hovered between "Order Received" and "In Progress". At least, not until the hour was up and there was no sign of any change. I just received a call from the Doordash driver; he apologized to me, saying that this location had closed for repairs and not bothered to let anyone know that they would not be taking orders. Um, SERIOUSLY?! Why does Doordash have to deal with that level of laziness? There was no reason that poor guy had to apologize to me when it wasn't his fault. Communication is a basic skill, and if you can make chicken you SHOULD be able to make a phone call. Do better, Chick-fil-A. If you want to act holier-than-thou, do so with a 100% customer satisfaction rating. You're only getting three stars because of prior experience with the food. I go to this chick location quite often and the thing I can say about this place with absolute certainty is that no matter what time of the day you arrive, there's always a long line at the drive thru which usually wraps around the building which gives me pause when I consider coming to this location. Fortunately, there's 3 other CFA's that I drive past on my way to work so I will usually choose one of those locations for breakfast on the go when I'm on a time crunch. Once I tried using the "order ahead" app at the suggestion of a younger, more tech-savvy co-worker and after waiting over 10 minutes for them to bring out my food curbside, I finally gave up and went inside when no one would answer the phone. This occurred about 1:30 in the afternoon, well after the lunch rush. It was my first time using their order ahead curbside pick up service. Needless to say, I won't be using it again. I have always been a Chick-fil-A fanatic (except for my stint as a vegetarian). I've eaten at many Chick-fil-A stores around the Metroplex, and the food is predictably good across the board, but this one is closest to my work and I eat here most often. I think the service at this store is exceptional! The staff are always so friendly and kind in the morning. I've even been complimented on my smile. That's a great thing to hear first thing in the morning with your chicken biscuit! Since this location is so close to my work and home, it's easy to participate in their specials as well. It seems like they are always running another promotion. One day, if you brought in a toothbrush or toothpaste you got a free chicken sandwich, and a bunch of us from work brought in toothbrushes and toothpaste for charity and got free lunch. Also, last week I bought breakfast and got a coupon for a free lunch redeemable that day. And yes, I was back at lunch for my free chicken sandwich. My very first experience with Chick-Fil-A was last week on July 13th called Cow Appreciation Day. If you dress like a cow you get a free meal :-) We went as a family and had a GREAT time. It was a party inside with balloons and everyone dressed like cows. The chicken has a very flavorful taste! Not a fan of the fries but my son sure was. This is a great location! The service is very consistent with what one would expect from CFA. The drive thru is really well managed, even if there is a line of cars, the staff moved it all very quick. The food quality is good, hot and fresh with nice juicy chicken. I love chick-fil-a and I've been to most of the locations in the Plano/North Dallas area. This one is by far the dirtiest one I've been to EVER!!!! Food and trash on every table. I've been here almost an hour and no one has come by to wipe down tables or even ask how we're doing. I even had to sit at a dirty table with my son (wiped down myself first). Food on floors, trash in play area, haven't seen the bathroom yet but if the main area is this bad, I don't want to. They aren't even busy. Only 3 other customers. This is a terribly designed location if you enter from the shops behind and want to go through the drive thru. I almost got into an accident with another car as I was trying to abide by their directions (no left turn which would easily put you in drive thru Lane). Gave up, decided to go inside and then almost got hit by a car bc there was no designated cross walk and the girl taking the drive thru order outside wasn't paying attention. Sometimes the chicken may have tumors and the staff is more than happy to replace; however, the owner isn't as willing to satisfy his customers. Josh Ding owns this store and on two different occasions he has reluctantly replaced orders that were done incorrectly. If a chicken sandwich is all fat, I think you deserve to have the meat you paid for - Josh Ding... Not so much. I had an encounter where both, my wife's and my, chicken biscuits were all fatty and full of gristle. The manager I spoke to took my name and said they'd replace my meal. When I went back the next day, Josh Ding said, "no way, you just want free sandwiches." WAT! I was pissed, I already paid for what I was asking for. I left vowing never to go back to this Chick. But as I was about to drive away I got a knock on my window. One of the managers who recognized me as a frequent customer apologized for her owner's behavior and immediately replaced my order I had gotten the day before. The customer service at this location sucks! It doesn't matter if you go inside or go through the drive thru. They staff doesn't listen to customers well and it seems if you are ordering anything other that an entire meal (i.e. #1 etc) they don't understand. I have tried several times to order something as simple as scrambled eggs and a container of hash browns and they act like they don't understand what I am saying. They sell scrambled eggs as they have the hash brown scramble and they sell individual boxes of hash browns so it's not as if I'm asking for something they don't make. I have actually gotten them to make the order correctly before but everytime it's a big hassle. I got frustrated with them today and just walked out of restaurant. I have never been to a chick fil a that I didnt like up until this point. Ordering my food was difficult as the lady simply could not understand my order. I kept repeating an unsweet tea, small black coffee, and a chick fil a chicken biscuit. When I went to pay, the gentleman was holding my coffee, RUBBING HIS THUMB along the mouth opening and was going to give it to me. I said sir, you are rubbing your hands on the part where I will be sipping. Sorry but thats just gross. Im giving it 2 stars because he did apologize, but honestly this staff at this location do not appear to be clean and there is a huge communication barrier between them and the customers. I eat at a lot of chick-fil-as and this one is my favorite. Easy to get in and out and fast. Everyone is always friendly (of course its chickfila). I eat lunch here at least once a week. They are less stingy about giving out sauces at this location and they have root beer which are two wins in my book read more

i'm lucky that this particular chickfila is the one nearest to my house because their sandwiches are alwaaays SO JUICY AND CRISPY!! despite their location at a busy intersection, the store does a good job of handling the morning rush and lunch break hour by having 1-2 extra workers posted outside taking drive thru orders on ipads/tablets so they're already ready as soon as you pull up to the window. even when the line of cars wraps around the building, i don't hesitate to eat there because i know it passes quickly. read more
