If you are a Chik-fil-a fan you know what to expect. Over the top service, delicious food, spic and span restaurants and amazing playgrounds. Anything less is the competition! This particular location is near us and has become a family favorite for my 1 and 2 year olds. When you ask my 2 yr old son what he wants to eat he almost always gets around to "I want chicken-burger" which is code for a chicken sandwich at Chik-fil-a. What else can a parent want but table service, perfectly clean spaces and a super family friendly restaurant? The only down side... this place is MOBBED at lunch. The parking lot is jammed, 20 cars in the drive through, and every seat taken. There are businessmen in suits, construction workers, and an army of moms with kids in tow. Hello I gave this reasteraunt a two star while the service was great my order was wrong. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich with no pickles ( because I'm allergic) and I also ordered a large sweet tea with no ice. When I arrived at my house I opened my chicken sandwich to see it had pickles and my sweet tea had ice, disappointing but happens once in a while. read more

Chick Fil A is my favorite fast food restaurant. Tonight I went to get dinner through the drive thru. I was using my chick Fil a Calendar card but unfortunately the machine was not working. They gave me my sandwich as a free promo and told me to save my coupon for later. Excellent food & excellent customer service! read more

I am a diehard Chick Fil A fan, having been a regular at locations anywhere I live. This location continues to be behind the times in efficiency and it affects the customer. The people at this location are amazing, as you'd expect of CFA. The veteran cashiers recognize me and ask about my coworkers who are also regulars. They are always extremely helpful and the few times I've dined in, they come by checking for refills and trash. If a restaurant were rated purely on front of house staff, this location would be 5/5. Unfortunately it's some of the behind the scenes people who are pulling the location downhill. In the year that I've been coming to this location, wait times have continued to climb. Having paid close attention to the expediter's area, that seems to be the weak point of the entire operation. For the uninformed, in a professional kitchen the expediter is the person standing at the pass between the kitchen and the dining room. They are often a senior team member with experience on both sides of the house whose sole job is to monitor pending orders, communicate with the kitchen, and ensure orders get out to customers as quickly as possible with quality control. Where this CFA location seems to be struggling is training its expediters. Currently, they are acting like grocery baggers rather than proper expediters as they work through their queue in FIFO order. This is the most basic queue management model possible and also misses out on opportunities to increase efficiency. Efficiency is key with expediting because we all know customers want their food fast. I'm a perfect example of this because I always order an 8-count nuggets, no sauce, no meal. To complete my order, they need only grab one of the dozen waiting 8-count nugget boxes, toss it in a bag and hand it to me. Why then do I typically find myself waiting as much as 5 minutes for this when I can see plenty of boxes waiting? The answer is poor expediting. They are mindlessly completing orders in order rather than observing the entire queue and (wait for it) expediting orders that can be easily completed ahead of more complex ones. CFA is a fantastic company with fantastic food and I bet with a little training this location can rise to the standards I've come to expect of CFA. read more

I do go to this Chick-fil-A often. I typically get a morning entree through the drive thru, or go inside with some family and get a nice meal and sit down with it. Great milkshakes and fries, and of course, good, tasty chicken. Staff are very nice, and hospitality is as well. Highly recommend this location. read more

If you are going to more or less specialize in chicken sandwiches you'd better be good at it. I've had chick fil a a few times over the years and they offer a very good fast food chicken sandwich. Very consistent across locations. Always hot fresh and fast. Not especially cheap but the quality seems to be commensurate with the price. read more

My experiences here are always good! If I get catering for work they always carry it out to my car for me. If the wait is ever slightly too long they always give coupons for a free meal on my next visit. I love this company and this location is an excellent representation of their company. read more

I want to like this ChickFila location since it's close and I like this company. First, it's hard to find parking here and the drive thru is always crazy and a poor design of the traffic flow/lack of which is sad since it's not that old. The lines inside tend to be long and do not move quickly and to me seems unusual for a Chick-fil-A, I guess I've been spoiled by other locations closer to their HQ. My last visit here I also had a small fruit fly in my cup, I guess it was in the ice when they fixed my drink since I had my lid on the entire time. They did give me a coupon for free nuggets but I'm unsure if I will return but I don't think it'll matter since it's so crowded all the time. read more

Ordered chicken at drive-through only to arrive at the pick up window to be notified they were out of chicken sandwiches and chicken nuggets. They did offer me my fries though. How funny was that. Go to a chicken place and they have no more chicken, especially Chick-fil-A. Only alternative was spicy or grilled chicken. May need to call before coming down next time to make sure this store has chicken in stock. read more

Was on a field trip with 40 students and stopped here right in the middle of the lunch rush. The manager saw the bus pull up and came and held the door for everyone to walk in, the entire staff was very pleasant and super quick. Slowest drive through ever. Trapped for 15 minutes to order a sandwich at 3 in the afternoon. Bad management.

The food is fine. However as others have mentioned the efficiency and expediting are terrible. I have never been to a CF with a slower drive thru. It's also the only CF where I have been asked at drive thru window to pull around front and wait for them to bring out my food (after already waiting 10+ minutes in line) . That's happened several times at this location. It's not a matter of volume as I have been to very busy locations without these issues. read more

Why is it so hard to put the right food in the bag? The staff at this location seems nice and friendly but twice in a row now I have gotten the wrong food. Today, I ordered an egg white and grilled chicken sandwich on an english muffin but instead received fried chicken on a biscuit, no egg. I mean it's not busy, you make me pull to the front so you can walk out the order and it's still wrong? I can go to a more convenient restaurant to eat what I don't want. read more

First of all I love the Chick-fil-A in Roanoke. The people are very friendly and helpful. I order from the drive thru when I take my dog because she loves to get a dog treat. It is one of a few reasons I go there versus somewhere else. You have been out the last few times I have ordered. Please get more dog treats. Also special ordered a biscuit with only bacon.
