It was busy and I had to wait a little for a table, but that's expected because Chick-fil-A is always popular! My only little suggestion would be the portion size of the chicken strips. I ordered the 3-piece meal, and the strips were pretty small for the price of the meal. I would love to see slightly bigger chicken strips, especially since the meal is around the same price as some of the other full-size meals. Chick-fil-A is my personal favorite fast food chain, I love they way they do their chicken and I really respect their dedication to their no work hours on Sunday rule. This location is one that I frequent a lot, me and my buddy usually go here after our Monday runs, so I can say with certainty that this is a solid location, we usually eat there, I always get the hot and spicy chicken sandwich meal which is always great. Just a heads up it's a popular spot for drive thru, and you'll usually end up waiting a solid 10 minutes due to the long line they usually have, but the walk in experience is nice and fast, they have good shaded seating outside which is where we usually like sitting. I've only had good friendly interactions with their employees on both the window and main counter, the food is always made in a fast manner after ordering, and the place has always been clean and proper from all the times I've been there, overall as a fast food location, this is very solid, props to all the employees, as someone who has worked in this similar industry before I understand how hectic and frustrating the job can get so props to them for always giving me a good service! read more

Hey guys, The Big Gorger here, I did a mobile order today with some points I had saved up! Got the Spicy Deluxe Sandwich as well as a 5 piece nugget. Pulled up into the drive through line and told the worker I had a mobile order. Checked me in and got in line. Very easy process. Received my birthday reward email. Went through the drive thru and ordered the kid's meal chicken nuggets, waffle fries and diet dr pepper with ice cream and my birthday brownie. First timer at this location. The parking lot was packed at lunch time. No big surprise there lol. The drive through line unorganized until someone came out to direct traffic. I was happy to see him come out because many customers just pick a line and sit there without looking at all available lanes. They had three lanes for ordering and then it turns into one for pickup. It didn't take longer than 5 minutes to get my food once ordered. The line was moving. My order came out correct and hot. No complaints on food! Drive through is a long line and can even be as long from the main road, i'd recommend parking and walking in to order. I've always ordered online and scan my table number to dine in. So, I waited for my chicken sandwich for over 10 minutes, after it said that a team member will be giving my food shortly, I watched a staff member walk with a bag (hoping it was mine) he walked EVERYWHERE, I mean inside and outside looking for the table to give the food too. I didn't assume much because it could be someone else's, until he scrambled 3 times to find the table number. After seeing this man walk back and forth, I go up and ask if my food was ready since it had said a couple minutes ago it was. Look and behold, the same guy who had my food gave it to me and said that the table number was 28. I then show him my phone that clearly said the table was 38 and even the receipt on the bag that said 38, he just didn't care enough to read. Anyways I got my food, pretty annoyed that the service here SUCKED, atleast from that worker. Everyone is so kind and so friendly at Chick-fil-A I get straight up goosebumps. TIS THE SEASON!!!! Anyway no pictures today because ya girl was hungry and excited about the peppermint milkshake. What a disaster of a store! I don't understand how difficult it can be to train these team members correctly. It takes 5 minutes alone to even add any modifications to the order. Absolutely terrible customer service. My husband and I have always adored Chik-fil-A but we will not be returning thanks to the young girl at the end of the drive thru tonight. My husband waited in the line and ordered around $60 worth of items. He had a $100 bill and she wouldn't return change under $40. He tried to use the other cash in his wallet of $15. Her response was, "That's not how it works." She didn't have any compassion or willingness to accommodate him. When she could have easily adjusted the order for 2 sandwiches or whatever food could be under $15. I can understand not taking large bills after a certain time in the evening but she treated him terribly with her tone and condescending behavior. I haven't had Chick-fil-A in a long while and since Friday was National French Fry Day, I thought I'd have some of their waffle fries. After watching Superman at the local theater, i figured it would work to order some dinner from this location. I was originally going to go through the drive-thru, but seeing their weird system of ordering from three separate "lines" that were blocked off from the east side entrance, I decided to go inside and order instead. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, something I had not had before from this place. It was recently named one of fast food's healthiest items so I figured that would do fine. Then on top of those two items, I figured I would try out the chicken strips too. The sandwich was fine. Adding honey mustard BBQ sauce to it does make it tastier. This location has gone downhill tremendously. The order takers are painfully slow now--what used to be faster than In-N-Out has somehow become slower than In-N-Out, which says a lot. Sitting in a drive-thru line where a single order takes 10 minutes is ridiculous. On top of that, the traffic flow is a complete mess. Cars are constantly cutting in from the backside because Chick-fil-A refuses to block off the left side of the lane. It's been going on for years and they still haven't fixed it. I waited 25 minutes in line, only to watch someone cut in, get a faster order taker, and leave with their food in under 10 minutes--before me. This is straight up B.S for a company that built its name on efficiency and service. We did a mobile order and literally received a different person's food. I called the customer service line and they stated that it would take 2 to 3 days to hear back from a manager. I decided to drive to the store to resolve the situation from Hillcrest. Upon arriving and talking to a manager, they offered to give me a be our guest card which is essentially a free sandwich. I then had to ask for additional compensation which I'm more than deserve after my wife not being able to have her sandwich and us not being able to enjoy our breakfast together. The manager then decided to refund a single sandwich instead of the entire meal just to make up for the wrong doing. Food and service are consistently excellent and I especially like their drive-thru system. One busy night, four employees walked out of the sliding door pick-up area to hand out prepared orders to the four leading vehicles and off we all went at the same time. Smooth and quick operation. It moves the line along efficiently. The only other drive thru I know of with a similar method is Dutch Bros Coffee. Now, if they can have a line solely for mobile order pick-up, that would be awesome. Such a bummer when I end up behind a vehicle placing multiple separate orders in-person. They are always cooked and seasoned to perfection. They have the standard soda choices, but I usually get their lemonade. It always tastes so refreshing! The food here tastes fresh and high quality, but that is probably one of the reasons it is a bit pricey here compared to other places. The service is good consistently... the employees are polite and friendly. The only knock on this location is the seating and parking is limited. There are probably about 6-8 tables inside and some seating outside. As far as parking, they have designated a good number of parking spaces for pickup customers, and then blocked off a fair portion of the parking lot for drive thru orders. It can get difficult to find seating or parking during peak hours. I'm still a fan of this location and have been frequenting this location since they opened. This Mission Valley location is very efficient with their drive-thru, with 4 individual ordering lines that filter into the main pickup line. For food, I always get the Spicy Deluxe combo! This is a very yummy chicken sandwich! Comes with their waffle fries and a drink. Love their Sunjoy (I get diet lemonade and plain iced tea). I've also tried the kale crunch side, which is basically a kale salad w almonds, pretty yummy if you are craving some greens. Also a fan of their chicken noodle soup!
