We followed a car that went through the drive thru and a staff started yelling at us "DO NOT MOVE MY CONE! WE ARE NOT GOING TO MAKE YOUR FOOD!" And not only was he rude but he also accused us that we placed an order past the store hours. . Tell me how the app would let me place an order if your store is closed? Cherry on top..... they charged me for the food I never got. Mgmt has not responded to my refund request so it's safe to say this store scams people. The food is good, just like every other Chick-fil-A. You know what you're getting, and the quality is consistently solid. Unfortunately, this location is painfully slow. Every single time we've come here, it has taken 20 to 30 minutes to get our food. That's happened on multiple visits, so it doesn't seem like a one-off issue. To make matters worse, they also tend to forget one or two items in our order more often than not. It's frustrating to have to double-check everything before leaving. The staff themselves are friendly enough, and I don't have any complaints about how they interact with customers. The biggest issue is simply the pace of the restaurant. Whether it's the kitchen or the overall operation, something just isn't working efficiently. Good food can only make up for so much. This Chick-Fil-A is located in the heart of Sorrento Valley in the bustling biotech hub of San Diego. The location itself is on the newer side and consistently clean. Parking can get quite crowded in the evenings but even during the peak lunch rush on a weekday I didn't have any problem getting a parking spot. For this particular location, patrons heavily favor the drive through so I walked right up to the front of the line inside and ordered 3 chicken deluxe sandwiches and 1 regular chicken sandwich to go. I happily was on my way after a quick 10 minutes. I'm not sure what happened but when I arrived to my final destination with family to enjoy the meal I found the meal was completely missing the regular chicken sandwich. This was quite disappointing and had never happened at any other Chick-fil-A I've been too. I ended up going back the next day to explain the situation with my receipt to get my sandwich. My wife also ordered a chocolate chip cookie. While they did give me the sandwich they told me I should have called the restaurant the same day? I was a bit confused - perhaps they would have delivered the sandwich to me? I'm not sure what calling would have done though. I figured it made more sense to come in person to explain the situation and pick up my sandwich. Either way it was quite vexing because my wife's chocolate chip cookie never came out after 20 minutes of waiting and watching over 15 patrons who had ordered full cooked meals after us get their items. We finally asked what was going on and the worker apologized to us and told us the order had gotten lost. This was a very disappointing experience overall from an operations standpoint. Stopped by this Chick-fil-A location last night for the first time in a year or two. I ordered the new jalapeño ranch club meal with a Diet Dr. Pepper and a spicy chicken sandwich. Drive thru was relatively fast considering how packed it was at 11:30pm, and the drive thru service was as good as one could likely ask for at such an ungodly working hour. The new jalapeño ranch club was pretty good, and the jalapeño ranch dressing was the primary differentiator in the sandwich as far as I can tell. So, it felt kind of gimmicky. However, the quality was there. Chicken was juicy, flavor profile made sense, toppings were fresh. The spicy chicken sandwich--I actually preferred it to be honest. The simplicity of that spicy fried chicken with pickles is one of Chick-fil-A's best bang for your buck hitters. The crunch, the interior juiciness, the spice profile, and the pickle quality all come together in a rare act of minimalist fast-food epicness. Not a bad spot to hit late at night, too, since the vast and unoccupied parking lists that sit adjacent make this location a nice place to chow down in peace. read more

Very disappointed with my experience. The fries I was served were undercooked and seemed raw in the middle, which is unacceptable for a restaurant that prides itself on quality. On top of that, the employee who took my order Tyler was rude and acted like I was bothering him just by placing an order. Customer service and food quality were both far below expectations. What a great Chick Fil A location! Early morning hours to easily grab breakfast on my commute to work. There is plenty of parking in the free lot, and there is also a drive through. The cashier was super friendly and efficient. Given how early it was, I did not have to wait to place my order, and I barely had to wait amongst the indoor seating. I ordered a chicken biscuit sandwich. The biscuit was fluffy and moist. The chicken was not crunchy (it never is), but it was very tender. I love their sauce and drenched the sandwich with it; I may also have licked the inside of the sauce container clean. My only complaint is that Popeye's is my usual stomping grounds, and for a similar price, this biscuit sandwich was much smaller. I felt like I could have eaten a second one. read more

Employee admitted they are VERY short staffed...they look miserable and could care less about customer service. That's managements fault. Came here just over an hour to close after a local concert. I have no idea why they'd be open as 3/4 or more of their menu was not available. Tried to order grilled nuggets, was told at the intercom they don't have any. Went to order mac and cheese, also don't have that. Order a fruit cup, don't have that. Etc etc... Finally we place an order for a regular sandwich combo and then a grilled deluxe sandwich combo. Get to the window and they only have the regular sandwich. No, we weren't adding it, we just had the whole order placed after going through all of what they DONT have. The deluxe chicken burger was good and included lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles, but I had them hold the cheese. The regular burger only includes pickles. I have been a frequent flyer to this Chick Fil-A because it is super convenient on my way home from my daughter's school. The positives are that the food is always fresh and piping hot. The servers are always pleasant to the max. When I go through the drive thru line, I try to throw them off by saying things that will force them to answer with something other than "my pleasure", but it never works. These guys & gals are good! In addition, they always take care of my daughter by making sure she has the best toy in her kids meal. Leaving this place almost always puts a smile on our faces. Very Demure, very Cutesy I will start off by saying, I come here everyday since August 2024; matter of fact I am sitting in the parking lot eating a chicken burrito typing this now. They always get the order right, never had a bad experience here. I have been to Chick-fil-A in Poway, Mira Mesa, Carmel Mountain, and to the Miles of Cars Chick-fil-A; this HAS to be the BEST out of all in San Diego. They never burn the food or make it too greasy, never experience bones in the chicken like I have in Poway. The customer service is AMAZING! I have had both night and morning shift ask me about my day as I wait for my order and in fact the wait is 2mins tops of not it's ready by the time you get to the window. This Chick-fil-A goes out of their way to make sure YOU are taken care of. The inside is clean and maintain as well, I've been inside to dine before, they even have an outdoor dining with beautiful lights around the exterior for when it gets late. I tried out the mobile order via the drive-through tonight for the first time. I don't usually have to wait too long in these lines, but it did seem like things were moving kind of slowly. When I got my order they didn't give me a straw for my drink so I had to ask for one and When I drove away, I realized they also didn't give me any of the sauces I asked for :( Overall the chicken tasted warm and fresh, which is ultimately the most important to me. This is the worst chickfila i have ever been and we have been to a lot of them. This place seems cursed as new operator was brought in to run it and many of the same issues persist.
