The staff at Shake Shack were friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent customer service throughout our visit. They were attentive and handled our concerns professionally, which we truly appreciated. Unfortunately, the food did not meet expectations. One of our burgers was undercooked and had to be returned to be remade. In addition, the burger portions seem to have gotten noticeably smaller compared to previous visits. We also ordered the Spicy Cheese Fries, but they came with very little cheese, making them much less enjoyable than expected. While the staff did a great job making things right, the overall food quality and portion sizes have declined. I hope Shake Shack can improve its consistency and return to the quality and value that made it a favorite in the past. read more

I ordered the new Korean Kimchee Chicken Sandwich. There were many problems with it: (a) it did not look like what was in the picture, (b) it was tiny, (c) it was saturated in sweet sauce, (d) maybe a teaspoon of kimchee was spread on it, (e) the bun was soggy and too small. I should've asked for my money back but human interaction is hard to come by at these places. I used to wait in a long line to eat at the original Shake Shack in Madison Garden in NYC for a simple burger at a reasonable price. Now, there is no line, no people, and terrible food at a high price. How is it that In & Out can still make a decent, fresh sandwich for under $5 and this sugary, greasy thing I just ate is $13? read more

Finally tried a Shake Shack burger and In-N-Out is still king hands down. The bun was somewhat sweet interrupting the main ingredients and their special sauce was impotent making me add ketchup for some zing. I may try one of their specialty sandwiches and the fries some other time but definitely no hurry. read more

Something happened to the food at shake shack. I was never a big fan because of price to food amount, but the food was good. Now the food isn't good. I had a hamburger with nothing on it and meat tasted cheap, greasy, and bad. I tried a bite of the regular shack cheese burger and it still tasted bad with everything on it. However this review is specifically for their seasonal Dubai chocolate shake- I've been dying to try it ever since I saw it on IG. It's aesthetically really pleasing and you can crack the chocolate on the sides into the shake. Unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations- I think it was too sweet too me and wasn't quite the taste I was expecting? I prefer the texture of their regular custard shakes. Got their French Onion Soup burger and I gotta say, my cat's taking a fat dump right now and despite how bad that smells, even if it smelled that bad right next to my face while I was eating that French Onion Soup burger, I'd still eat it because the burger is THAT damn good. Honestly I love Shake Shack and it is great place for fast food. Their fries are great and I recommend trying their seasonal fries. I have had the truffle fries and the spicy korean bbq fries. I love those more than the fries they have in their regular menu. Their burgers and chicken shack is made great. It's not too big of a portion, so you can definitely finish one. I recommend trying the shakes as it is really rich and smooth and tastes like drinkable ice cream. read more

I get my patty well-done for a nice char. i love the shack sauce and always ask for extra cups to dip my fries. I have stopped putting lettuce on the cheeseburger, because the one flaw of Shake Shack is that none of the San Diego locations are able to purchase lettuce that is not wilted. Crinkle-cut fries are not the school cafeteria crinkle cut fries of our 90s childhood. They are so crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, with a perfectly salty seasoning. I got a fried chicken sandwich for the first time as part of their Sunday promotion. It was good, but I think I will stick to the burgers here and save the chicken sandwich cravings for elsewhere. The chicken was not as crispy nor was the sandwich as flavorful as those I can get from Popeyes. I have never dined in, I only ever do mobile pickups. Make sure to click Edit on your item and then Customize in order to add lettuce, change buns, or remove onions! We sat inside at a booth, and we got our food fast. Service was good. All of the food was good. The gluten-free bun is potato and really good. The cheese they use on the fries is polarizing - some people love it and some people (me) think there's something alien about it but can't quite put their finger on it. This location is very light and airy and spacious. Lots of tables but well-spaced. They have their own bathrooms inside! (No need to go look for a mall bathroom.) Visited the mall to shop around and didn't realize there was a Shake Shack here! Upon arrival, everything was self served where you can order off an iPad. There was also a general cashier as well in case you needed assistance / the line got long. There was one employee here who was super nice and went around helping everyone order and sharing his input on what is good. I enjoyed how proactive he was with customers and his customer service was amazing! Thank you! I am so happy they have GF bread!!!! I was so excited when I saw that.
