Review #384 - 2018 We showed up around 11:30 AM on Saturday, December 15th, and there was a pretty decent size line at the drive-thru, but I was too lazy to go inside and place an order so we decided to join the line expecting it to take a while to get our food. We were up since 6:30 AM so we were all starving, especially since we were out at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery working up an appetite placing wreaths with our fellow Wreaths Across America volunteers. I was actually very proud of all the kids since they never wake up early for anything, so this was considered my treat to them for a job well done! I can't remember how long ago it was that I had my first Chick-Fil-A experience, but I didn't recall it being too outstanding so I never went back again. The kids all say it's their favorite place for a good chicken sandwich so I decided to give it another try. Five of us ordered the spicy deluxe meal, while my 21-year old nephew (who calls me "mommy") got the classic deluxe meal and I ordered the 8-piece nugget meal for my 9-year niece. I have to admit that I really enjoyed my spicy deluxe chicken, but I'm not really a big fan of the fries. I guess I'm very boring and prefer In-N-Out's fries. My 9-year old niece, on the other hand, only ate her fries because she refuses to eat meat. Everyone else was super happy with their meals and the boys decided to attack the 8-piece nuggets, after they finished their food. I didn't find this out until later that evening when I asked my niece where her nuggets were since she didn't eat them. As long as she didn't throw them away & waste food, I guess that's ok. I have to say that they are super efficient and quick at getting the orders out because we didn't have to wait long at all, they even have a count of how many customers they service at the drive-thru between 12-1 PM and 6-7 PM (or was it 5-6 PM?). The employees are super friendly, even though they were standing out in the cold to take our orders. I guess it's time I go back to my closest Chick-Fil-A to give them another chance. read more

This is really to showcase our experience yesterday: Who ever was on French Fry duty yesterday needs to be the one who teaches ALL locations on how fries should be prepared. The crispy perfection that didn't wilt and get soggy after 3 minutes - and also perfectly salted was the product of an absolute perfect French Fry experience! Chick Fil A peeps: Please read this and always make your fries like they were on February 1st around 1pm *inserting worship hands emoji* Also: we tried the new grilled spicy chicken sandwich and I must say it's on point. Okay, I admit it: I love Chick-fil-A. So does my family. It wasn't that long ago that the only Chick-fil-A in the area was in Fairfield. Now, not only are there Chick-fil-As all over the Bay Area, there's another among the factory outlets in Vacaville just over the hill from Fairfield. Many more chances to eet mor chikin. Chick-fil-A and I go back a long way. My first date with the Hunny was at the Chick-fil-A in the Parkdale Mall, Beaumont TX. We also went to the Walnut Creek location on opening day, and many times since then. And, to start our recent trip to Northern California (they say that we live in *Central* California), of all the places we could have gone, we chose Chick-fil-A. Chick-fil-A is one of those fast-food places with food that tastes *far* better than fast food quality. All the entrees I've had have been top-notch. But I've settled on the spicy chicken deluxe; tasty, not too spicy, big chicken patty. If the price was doubled, it would still be a good deal. Many different dipping sauces you can use, in addition to ketchup. Friendly, smiling workers. Looks like a typical fast food restaurant, only cleaner. Lots of parking, and you can walk there from your retail therapy session. So, between my spicy chicken deluxe, the Hunny's plain chicken, and the girl's chicken strips, we had an incredibly delicious, inexpensive lunch that kept us all the way to Shasta Lake and then some. Our expectations were high, and they met those expectations easily. Just as they always do. Our first visit to this location of Chick-Fil-A in Vacaville! Right off the freeway near the outlets. Easy to find and get to on that road trip. We came on a weeknight around 6pm. Literally there were at lease (I'm not exaggerating)... 100 cars in line for the drive through!!!! WHOA. I was blown away. We thought of leaving, but decided to give them a chance. First of all KUDOS to whoever invented their ordering system. GENIUS. There were two lines of cars and many employees out walking up to cars and taking orders. You pay right there from your car. We were like - uh oh what's going to happen when we have to merge the two lines?? Well.... When you get to the merging point, someone asks your name, hands you your printed receipt and tells you what car to pull in after!! Seamless and fast. We were absolutely impressed. Would give this place 5 stars but I went in the drive thru today and ordered a deluxe chicken sandwich with colby jack cheese, fries, and a large lemonade. The guy taking my order repeated it back and said, "Spicy Deluxe" so I corrected him and let him know I wanted colby Jack cheese. Then I get to the next guy in the line and he reads the order to me and it's the spicy again so I told him it was supposed to be regular. He says he's gonna go tell the people at the drive thru window. I watch him walk to the window and talk to the other employees. Chick-fil-a Vacaville is my go to Chick-fil-a! The food quality has maintained consistent and fresh. No complaints across the board. My husband and I collectively agree that our favorite staff member is Sif. Sif has always gone above and beyond with customer service and makes sure we leave satisfied. We have observed her consistently working 3 times faster than her coworkers. We love it when she takes our orders in drive thru because she makes it such a fun experience. I just want to first say that my order was correct. The only complaint I would have to say is that Chick-fil-a had a rewards deal for the 3 tenders. I'm still fairly new to using the app, so I didn't know that you have to tell the employee(s) that you want to redeem that 3 tenders deal that they're having. So when I clicked to redeem it, it said "scan at restaurant " so I assumed that once they scanned it, it also scanned/redeem the reward. But it only scanned my rewards account (which I didn't know). So when the employee (Melissa, an older lady prob 5'3-5'5, has short/bleached?/curly hair) read back my order for me, my partner asked me if I got the 3 tenders deal. Melissa heard & was confused about it bc I didn't say anything about the tenders reward. Once I showed it to her that I clicked on the redeem at restaurant & thought it went through for that. She gave us a little attitude saying that she doesn't have it on there & that if I wanted to redeem It, I need to say it & not just scan it bc she doesn't know. I would like to say that we never gave her any kind of attitude bc there was no need to. Like I would understand her pov if we gave her any sort of attitude, but we never did. So I hope the manager that is reading this, you need to talk to her about her attitude & she needs to learn how to be patient with people that doesn't really know how to touch the app. read more

Staff were polite in the front but they forgot multiple things. Then the soup had literally no chicken in it so when we asked to have it exchanged the manager said, "you can never see the chicken in it." After another staff member finally exchanged it, upon examination there were VERY obvious pieces of chicken in it. The milkshake was poorly blended so instead of being chocolate it was very clearly vanilla with some chocolate from time to time. The bathroom had a sink that didn't work along with a paper towel dispenser that didn't work either. Hands down worst chick-fil-a I've ever been to. read more

My first Yelp review several months into the Covid pandemic goes to Chick-fil-A. I have not been venturing out much and have not even been ordering takeout or delivery; therefore I haven't really had anything to review. Recently however I treated myself out to some Chick-fil-A. There were two lines of cars at the drive-thru at lunchtime on a Saturday, one coming from the main road turning left into the drive-thru, and one coming from the parking lot turning right into it. I almost got out of the line when I saw how many cars there were, but I stayed and was able to get through pretty quickly. All the employees were wearing masks, and payment was touchless as I swiped my credit card myself. It was touchless at the pickup window as well, as my order was placed on a tray that one of the employees was holding and I picked up the bag myself. The only disappointing thing about my visit was that their ice cream machine was down so I couldn't order my favorite drink of theirs, the frosty lemonade. However their system was pretty efficient, the food was tasty as usual (holla spicy chicken sandwich and waffle fries with Chick-fil-A sauce!), and it was an overall good experience for a germophobe such as myself. read more

I was here around 9:30pm and the drive-thru line was long so I ordered through the app. I thought I'd be waiting a while for my food but I was wrong and shocked when I saw a staff member walking towards me with my order. No more than two minutes had passed after placing my order that I already had my food in my hands. I looked at the drive-thru which was now empty. If you want lunch you should go during breakfast because you'll be in line until lunch (hahahaha)! I'm exaggerating but the wait here is always bad (at least 20 mins). The line is always long and often disrupts traffic. This particular ChicfilA has always had challenges (even pre COVID) with drive thru traffic. I love ChicfilA but this is quite possibly the worst location imaginable to have built one. When I leave home to get ChickfilA I alway say a little prayer hoping the line isn't so long that it disrupts traffic. When I get there and my prayers weren't answered I have to ask myself "how bad do you want it?" Sometimes I stay. Sometimes I leave. If this were my business that would be concerning. I've even tried ordering through the app twice which was even worse. I still waited 20 minutes and then my fries were cold. My experience has been better through the line as far as food quality. read more

I came here with my family, and it was nice to find it open at 10am. I ordered off of the breakfast menu, and got the chicken biscuit. I also ordered a kids menu for my baby girl. It was great to see healthier food options for kids (apple sauce or fruit cup). After we paid, we had to wait about 10 minutes for our food. My daughter was very excited for her kids meal. However, she was disappointed that there was no toy inside. My husband asked a worker for the kids toy, and they told him to come back in a few minutes. I guess they were out of kids toys, but Chick-fil-A truck just arrived. We went back eating our meals while waiting patiently. The chicken biscuit was smaller than a normal chicken sandwich. It tasted good though. When we finished our meals, we went to check on the toy. The worker told us she didn't see any toys, but offered an ice cream cone instead. Anyway, I am still surprised that the toys can run out considering this is supposed to be family friendly place. While my daughter was playing in the playground, I definitely noticed a few other parents inquire about the missing toy. People rave about customer service at Chick-fil-A, but this location seems to be the exception. I come here often on my lunch break because I think its a good compromise between decent ingredients and being "fast" food so I can use my lunch time to do other things. Last week I placed an almost $30 lunch order for myself, my son, and his friend. They brought out a bag with my name on it and I went home to find inside was someone else's totally different order. No biggie, just notified the app that I had gotten the wrong meal and it said someone would reach out to me about it. Couple days later I got a random auto generated email pretending to be a person, and advising me that free items were added to my app. Great, so I go to use them and they are for completely different items than I had paid for and never received. So now I have rewards for items I dont order and $30 down the drain, but I leave it alone because my life is hectic and I dont have the time to deal with this more than I already had. Wednesday of this week comes and I place my mobile order as I always do, and I get to the line and they tell me payment didn't come through on their end there was an error. Weird because my app says all is good and the funds are out of my bank. I show him this and he says there is nothing he can do until he shows payment on his end, I notice the lunch rush line is piling up into the street and I don't want to hold it up longer so I hand him my card and he swipes it. Says he is getting an error and I look and now I have 2 charges from Chick-fil-A. I'm getting frustrated by this point and he tells me to just go to the window. I drive to the window and the manager Ashlyn is standing there. She asks me for my card again and I explain to her what is going on and she asks me to show her my bank because she didnt believe me. I told her my app shows my balance and personal info under each transaction so she needed me to sit there in the drive through line and take a screenshot and then mark up the screenshot to cover my info so she could see. I do all of this and SHE ASKS ME FOR MY CARD AGAIN. At this point the line is so long, people are irritated with me for something out of my control, and now I have almost $60 out of my account for 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks. She asks for my number and says she will call me later. I get a call and to make a long story short, she offered NO help. Told me she would call corporate who was closed already by the time she called me, and that she would get back to me. Never heard back and had to call her again today and she again had nothing she could help me with. No refund, no rewards (she says my account is maxed out because of them giving me rewards for items I never ordered when they gave me the wrong order smh) just a whole mess and huge waste of time. ATTENTION CHICK-FIL-A MANAGEMENT! Ashlynn is not a manager. She is a very nice girl, but she does not know how to offer customer service or take initiative. All of this could have been fixed/avoided had she just given me my meal in the drive through that day after holding me and the entire line up for 10 minutes and charging me for a third time after demanding to see my personal bank account. Everybody loves Chick-fil-A, so what happened here? Well, let's start with the basics. Context: Friday evening, I'm heading to a work retreat in South Lake Tahoe and carpooling with 2 coworkers. We decide to stop for food, and made our way here. There's plenty of parking in the lot as it's a giant shared lot for a shopping center. The line was a bit long, but it moved fairly quickly. This was my first time at a Chick-fil-A, and while waiting in line, I was unable to read most of the menu (sauces, salad dressings, ect). In fact, all 3 of us struggled to read the menu, so it wasn't just me. I get to the front, and I notice the cashier is in training. She's friendly and does an excellent job taking my order. I went with the Spicy Deluxe meal with coffee. She asked if I want any sauces, and recommended the house sauce. I get my receipt, and I go wait to the side. My coworkers ordered "for here", and I ordered "to go", so we get a booth to wait. They got these little tall bucket things, which I guess they use to identify orders or something? Despite how busy it was, we found a booth fairly quickly. The people from the booth across the aisle just left, and it was a mess on their table. An employee goes over and sprays some disinfectant, and starts wiping the crumbs off the table. He did it with enough force that a bunch of the crumbs were hitting us. It wasn't reaching the ground, it was getting on our clothes and our table. "EXCUSE ME SIR", I exclaimed, "Please watch out, all the crumbs you're wiping are hitting us". He glares at us, and says, "oh". As if he didn't want to be working on his Friday night. We brushed the crumbs off, and shortly my coworkers got their food by a sweet cheerful employee. I went up to pick up my food, and sat back down. Oops, I wasn't given my drink (coffee). I had to go back and wait for someone to be available to help me, which surprisingly took a while. We dig in! - Spicy Chicken Sandwhich (#2): Not really spicy, but other than that, the sandwich was good. I don't think anything special, but definitely good. - Fries: Decent fries, crispy, lightly salted. - Sauces: The house sauce is insanely sweet. My coworker tried the BBQ sauce and that was really really sweet too. **Just note this because I'm not a big fan of sweets, and definitely don't like mixing sweet and savory.
