This is a four-star review for fast food. Bear in mind, this is a real low bar. A friend and I decided we were curious about Chick-fil-A and decided to try it for the very first time. It was about 2 pm.We decided to go for the full dining experience because they had AC. The parking lot was pretty full. The line for takeout was impressive. inside there was a playroom for the kids and the usual easy to clean furniture that infests all fast foods joints. Inside it was cooler, and the line was significantly shorter. There weren't many diners at the tables the place was spanking clean. Since we both liked heat, we both ordered the spicy chicken meal. Strangely, our server asked what kind of sauces we liked? I went with the spicy sauce and the regular chic-fil-a sauce. I've heard a lot about Chick-fil-A's chicken and how the flavor is superior to many other places. I would agree this is good chicken flavor. Unfortunately it is drowned in a ginormous generic white bun, which does absolutely nothing for the sandwich except hold the sauce. The spicy sauce is a standard buffalo wing sauce, and it's quite fine. I could've taken more heat, but there's a lot of people who would find it just spicy enough. You are expected to add your own sauce. Thank god because the regular sauce would have ruined it for me. The Chick-fil-A sauce was bizarre. It was faintly sweet, had no dominating flavors whatsoever. I think its primary purpose was to act as some kind of creamy base to make sure the sandwich didn't fall apart. The waffle fries. Slightly soggy but with good potato flavor. No crunch. Nice try but losing the race for number one. All in all, if I had to make my own sandwich, I'd get a better bun, the fillings for the sandwich were just fine, I could've done with a lot more chicken. And a second packet of the spicy sauce. Or just a hotter sauce. Seating for the dining experience was typical of fast food. I was a little surprised when the server came over and offered to refill our drinks. This is not what I expected from a fast food joint. But that sure explains why the place looks spotless. Oh, yeah those cups are filled to the max with ice, accept the refill. Overall, compared to McDonald's (you should be aware I despise McDonald's) Chick-fil-A is doing quite well. The food has some flavor, Place lives up to fast food standards of cleanliness and decor, the price is higher than I expected for a meal, but then the chicken tastes real. I left pleasantly stuffed but an hour later was hungry again. Classic. 4 stars for the sandwich. Needs a better bun 3 stars for the fries. Not even remotely crunchy. Good potato flavor. I am very disappointed with their catering policies... My company was nice in offering Chick-fil-A for an in-service day and gave us a specific menu from which to order. I asked if I could make a substitution, being a vegetarian, for the Southwest Veggie Wrap which was not on the catering menu. I was told that Chick-fil-A doesn't allow any substitutions. Surprisingly, this location was pretty empty when we came here on a Tuesday afternoon! I usually always see cars wrapped around Chick-fil-a locations no matter what time of day it is. It definitely was quieter inside and there were not a lot of people. Service was also super quick, friendly, and attentive. I only got the frosted lemonade but this was made perfectly! I love chick-fil-a and probably order twice a week. They're great on customer service and food is always tasty. I usually order on the app and pick up or have it delivered to me. This morning, I ordered breakfast on the app. There was no line in the drive thru and I didn't have to wait long for my order which was a chicken, egg and cheese muffin, orange juice and a side of hash browns (these are my favorite). Although everything was great, I do have to say that my English muffin was slightly burned and I was a little disappointed. Maybe an off morning but the smell got to me first. This was the nicest chick-fil-A I've ever been to. The staff were so friendly, going above and beyond. We came in after my daughter's game with the team and their parents. The employees brought our food out to our tables, made sure we had what we needed, refilled drinks, checked in, even brought us mints at the end of our meal. I used to be a huge fan of this location when they opened a couple years ago because their service, food, and time management was great. However, I've noticed a decline in their food quality and customer service recently. Though, there is this older aged Asian man who works there who's extremely kind and helpful. Also, I made an order recently and they didn't include bacon, cheese, or pickles in my burger. I understand that people make mistakes, why is it that chick fil a highly presents themselves as "for the customers," but couldn't give me any compensation for having to drive all the way back to get my order fixed. I bit into one of their Chick Mini's and the meat was old and tasted like old grease with dried up blood in it ! I reached out to the online website immediately because I had already left. Dear Chik Fil A by preventing me from getting extra dressing while ordering on line via your app for curbside pick up, I was unable to cover what turned put to be several pieces of wilted old lettuce. I also had to eat half my salad without dressing. I really feel cheated by your new policy limiting dressing and bell peppers. Probably the worst Chick-Fil-A of all I've ever been to and Ive been to many, across several states. Not sure what the requirements are to run a franchise, but this one misses the mark. Every time I've ordered, I've gotten home to find items forgotten or not the number ordered. Sometimes your food is lukewarm, bordering on cold. Also, the nighttime manager is probably not the most equipped to do the job. Pointed out that what I received was not my complete order, and had to explain this a few times, before situation rectified. Lastly, for the kids menu items, you should be able to order a cookie versus an ice cream. They cost the exact same, and it's a lot easier to give a child a cookie versus ice cream (think melting in the car). Overall, there is a ton of room for improvement at this franchise, but it's thankfully relatively clean, hence the 2 stars. read more

I've lived in Vallejo for a while now and am so glad I finally discovered that we have a CFA here! I'd suggest skipping the drive-thru. The employees are efficient and the lines moves decently but curbside or pickup are definitely more efficient. Speaking of staff, my minimal interaction with these folks has been nothing but positive. Friendly and on top of it. Rare these days! Food is, well, you know what to expect. Either you like it or you don't. Personally I'm a huge fan and I find the quality and value to my liking. I will say I think the Novato location does an ever so slightly tastier job making the food. Not to say I don't like this location - I'll be back at least once a week now that I know it's here. Recently tried the breakfast menu for the first time.
