I got a deluxe chicken sandwich combo with lemonade and a brownie.. The sandwich was good. The lemonade was very refreshing and it tasted fresh squeezed... Mmmm. The brownie was my fav. Wow, first time at this location. Used the app to order, which was very easy to use. I decided to pick up from their dining room. The app allows you to make that change even after finalizing the order. The dining room was spotless. I was barely three steps inside when I was greeted by several employees. The best one by far was Ms. Beethoven (her real last name!). Ms. Beethoven was warm and genuine in her greetings to everyone. Impressive enough for an update. A brand new 5,000 foot building with expanded parking lot and enhanced drive-thru experience. It's now open and busy! Look for them at the Salem Crossing Shopping Center across from Home Depot. My rainy visit this morning around 8 AM on a Saturday found them very busy! They just reopened this week after being closed for almost five months. It was nice to see the expanded parking and ability to exit the lot easily. The lot will need to have permanent black top put in later, they were in a bit of a hurry to open since they were behind schedule. The drive-thru is covered as is the trend I've been seeing. This allows employees to work outside taking orders on hand held machines. Ordering is in two lanes and funnels into one. The lot could not accommodate two lanes around the building. From large windows facing the cars waiting for their orders I saw staff actually running to cars to deliver. Amazing and something you would never see at another fast food. But those that love Chick Fil A know it cannot be put in the same category as a McDonalds, or Taco Bell. I wanted to see the interior and dined in. Not too busy in the dining room as most guest opted to drive-thru on a rainy morning. Everything was clean, tables cleared and new trash cans activated by motion installed. Love that they now have a large communal table for groups. I immediately saw long time employee Reynaldo in the dining room sweeping. He is this locations Mr. Clean and keeps the interior and exterior grounds looking spic and span. My order at the counter was very friendly as staff are excited to welcome back regulars like myself. I asked about the layout and how it compared to the new VB Blvd store and found out they are basically the same. An oversized kitchen allows lots of room to work and expands ability to offer more catering. My order a #1 Chick Fil A biscuit with hash browns and vanilla iced coffee. My transaction was processed through the app which I highly recommend. Breakfast was brought to my table in around 10 minutes or so which is a bit tardy based on other experiences. However, they are new and drive-thru slammed. My drink order was not completed and noticed by staff. A minute later I had my iced coffee. Everything hit that was suppose to be hot and cold that was suppose to be cold. I sat at the table with finished breakfast and everything neatly on the tray for over 30 minutes. When staff saw my tray with trash they grabbed it. Bravo! The continued issue with this location is the center itself. My experience was good with someone directing traffic specifically out of their lot, that's unusual. Most often the staff directs at the entrance. The annoying problem is exiting with back up, then watching oncoming cars entering. Be careful! Pull up to the all new Salem Crossing location to see the sparkly new building. The customer service here is horrible! At this point they just try to get you in and out the line as soon as possible. I ordered food for my kids (one is 11 and the other is 13) from the Chick-fi-la app which offers delivery. The. chick-fi-la app ask you if you would like them to drop it off at the door or hand it to a person. I SPECIFICALLY ENTERED TO UT THE ORDER IN SOMEONES HAND. 45 MINTES LATER I RECEIVED. TEXT THAT STATED THE ORDER WAS DELIVERED WITH A PICURE OF MY KIDS FOOD ON THE PORCH. Being now the food was cold and after 9pm, I proceeded to Chick-fi-la at Salem Crossing 2013 Lynnhaven Parkway, Virginia Beach , Va 23456. to get my children's food replaced. It was close to closing, so I had to wait in the drive thru line. We I approached the young lady, I told her that the situation. She grabbed the radio and called the inside and explained what I was requesting. Immediately the person on the other end said no. I heard them state that they do not replace food simply because it is cold. I thank the young lady and explained that I would go up and speak to a manager. Once I reach the front, while speaking to the manager, he proceeded to inform me Chick-fi-la does not deliver and use a 3rd party delivery (DoorDash) and I would need to speak with them for a refund. I try to show the employee that I don't use DoorDash and proceeded to show him my order through the Chick-fi-la app. At this point I have an issue. Because now I am hearing false advertisement. I am hearing that the app offers delivery but it actually being done by a third party in order to push the liability for mistakes on to another business. I paid around 44 dollars for the food through the chick-fi-la app and now being told to feed my kids cold food that has been on the porch in the elements. I was not satisfied with his answer, however, accepted that Chick-fi-la will not replace my children's food so I told the manager that I would like to make the same order so my kids can have hot food. THIS IS WHERE THE CONFRONTATION BEGAN. The manager asked me to move my car up further. I decline the offer to do so. He insisted that I do so. I told the manager that I was already being inconvenienced and wanted to wait until my order filled. He told me that he would not fill my order until I moved, however, another manager came out and told me she would fill my order. I gave her my card and she went into the building. When she went into the building, The manager I was speaking to continued to request that I move. I declined. When the young lady returned with my card and food she informed me that I am no longer welcomed at the location. I thank her for the food and proceeded to feed my kids at 10 pm before their 1030 bedtime. I doubt that I will ever receive my 44 dollars back, however, I am quite bother by this situation and it is not sitting well with me. I have spent endless amounts of money at this place because My daughter loves it. I guess finding other options is now in the works. Just know that Chick-fi-la is changing and the service once provided looks like a thing of the past. read more

Let me start off by saying this is one of the best well kept establishments ,customer friendly and the employees are so polite... so I'm my opinion that makes this one of the best fast food franchises I've ever visited, it doesn't matter what area the restaurant is located or what nationalities the employees are... you better believe you're getting the same excellent customer service when you step foot inside any of their establishments!!. The food is always hot and fresh and if it's not they're sure to make it right.Its important that you're a member of the rewards program because they reward you for spending your hard earned money there so why not take advantage?. I visited this location for the first time since the renovation. It is much bigger. They also have a different set up for the drive thru. Nothing and nowhere is perfect but when it comes to Yelp, I'll start at 5 stars and work my way back. Every big mishap or rude employee will cost them a star. The parking lot: clean, well lit and has enough room for its current clientele. The entryway: there are 2. The one that is labeled carry out is a bit small and is located by the bathroom. It is also where the to go customers and pick up from app customers wait for their food. It can get congested. The employees: sweet, professional and accommodating. They went out of their way to print my nutrition facts. Seating: the new design has a lot more seating than before. I have been here appx 30 mins and not once has an empty table gone un-cleaned for more than 1 min after a customer departed. Bathroom: stocked well, clean and in working order. The food: I ordered a grilled club without the bun on the app while sitting in the dining room. it came to me hot, melted cheese and crispy bacon. It was exactly how I ordered it and I was pleased. The automated opening of the trash cans are very delayed or I didn't place my hand in the correct area. Either way, it was a pain to get to open. Overall: A- I'm happy and will be back UPDATE: came in on 07Jan19 this take out trip was NOT perfect. Tbh I asked for I tomatoes due to and allergy and I got two big tomatoes. I had to go back and ask for the sandwich to be made over again and it was. The staff was apologetic and so sweet. This Chick-fil-a is always on point! Busy as shit for their drive thru on Saturdays during lunch time but they are always organized and able to get everyone in and out with efficiency. They never mess my order up including the type of condiments I request. I always ask for honey roasted bbq sauce.... yum! My go to meal is a #1 deluxe with pepper jack cheese and a sweet tea to drink; their sweet tea is always good. Lines are always wrapped around the restaurant but they have employees taking orders for both drive thru lines so by the time you get up to the window you can just grab your food and go. Hubby and I stopped in this location to get something quick. You guys should have seen my face when he said we're going to CFA. I frowned and not too happy because I don't eat at fast food place. Then he told me that CFA serves organic chickens! Aha! That's my kind of meat! Sounds like me! Haha! When it's the time to order I was stuck because I was very confused with the numbers and pictures. Finally Hubby came to the rescue, he ordered for me! He never made a bad choice so far when it comes to ordering my food. I got #5 and that was grilled chicken sandwich. Of course I didn't eat the bread, I only ate the chicken! It was quite good. I tried a piece of the bread but didn't really do it for me. The fries was ok but potato is not my liking so it was ok. 30 minutes to get through drive-thru!! Chick-fil-A is usually where I go when I need to pick up something quickly. My experience with Chick-fil-A is that they are always accurate and quick. However this particular Chick-fil-A has gotten slower and slower over the months that I've been going there. It seems to be full of young people more focused on socializing than on speed and accuracy. What makes it so bad is that they have the barriers around the drive thru so once you're in, you're stuck and can't change your mind. Held captive while the teens laugh and socialize! I did mention it to the manager that 30 mins in any drive thru is ridiculous, but 30 mins in chic fil a is unheard of! She gave me two meal gift cards. That was nice of her, but I just want a more consistent experience with this store. read more

Chick-fil-A is now officially on my BANNED list. How sad, because I love their food. Again, it's because of the recent experience I had there. (Read previous post/review.) The update is: that when I heard from the adjuster again, I was told that the medical claim was denied, because, "Chick-fil-a is not liable because there were (Wet Floor) signs posted." So just like that, it's over. Nothing. LUCKILY, I am ok. The awful bruises have faded and the pain in my shoulder is all gone. BUT like I said, what if the pain or injury was worse than what it was? Just because there are signs, that means 0% liability for anyone who slips and falls? No help whatsoever?! Yup, pretty much! And what irks me too, is that I called the main/corporate CHICK-FIL-A cares #, and gave my report, and the woman was kind and said, "I will escalate this to the owner of this particular franchise." Do you think I've heard anything at all, a call? Voicemail? Email? Nada! And again, what I have said so redundantly, all over facebook and here on Yelp, is that I'm not after their money. No way was gonna sue them or anything at all. It was just the principle - they didn't cover even an xray at the time, when I needed it. If it had been bad enough that I did go to the ER when this fall had happened, I would have been stuck w/ this bill because, "There were signs." I know it's also the adjuster who made the decision, not Chick-fil-a, but in speaking with "corporate" after it was denied, and the incident being "escalated to the operator of this particular establishment," you would think that I would have heard something by now, even a "Just checking on you. On the other hand, they have some delicious chicken. Seriously, Chick-fil-A is top tier fast food. Their chicken is almost always cooked perfectly, the waffle fries are iconic, and they're signature sauce is frustratingly* delicious. *You can make Chick-fil-A sauce at home, but it never comes out quite right. You'll always be able to tell the difference. If you just want a basic approximation though, mix a little BBQ sauce in honey mustard. Google it for a better recipe. read more

I love all Chick-Fil-A stores and the food here is excellent. It is also very nearby to my house. My complaint is the location. It it situated in the same parking lot as Wal-Mart on Lynnhaven near Salem. This particular shopping center was designed very poorly. It has one main entrance into it at a stop light which is where the majority of traffic coming in and out go. At certain times it is a madhouse to get in and out. It's so bad that they have a guy who is paid to stand there all day long and direct traffic. That is bad. To get out and leave you have to actually go through the drive-through - loop BACK around and if the drive through is backed up you won't be doing that for a while - then turn left and sit through more traffic to get back to the light and get out of the shopping center parking lot. It's not fun on a weekend or busy afternoon, trust me. I have gotten stuck in this parking lot a few times before where the line to get out at the light backed up and no one would let me out of Chick-Fil-A to get into the queue to get up to the light (where you have to cross from a stop sign the traffic coming IN before you can get into a line at the light to get out) for 15-25 minutes before. I only come here during the middle of the day if I'm off from work and I KNOW it won't be crowded. Otherwise I avoid it and go to the other Chick-Fil-A on Lynnhaven near the Mall and Red Lobster. It's worth the extra mile drive for me... Nothing wrong with the food here mind you - just the terrible traffic design. read more

This chick-fil-a was built before I moved away. I didn't frequent it because the shopping center it is in has a bad parking lot. It is so confusing on getting in and getting out. However, my husband and I were house shopping and had a timed appointment so we needed to take a break. Since we were close, we chose this location. He was driving and it was his first time, he was confused! We went ahead and parked so we could eat inside. The lot was full and the way this one is set up, those wanting drive-thru need to drive around the building. Depending on where you are parked just be cautious of these drivers. Inside, there were plenty of people enjoying their chicken but not a long line at all. We were greeted right away and welcomed to the restaurant. Our cashier was so pleasant and nice she made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. We found a table by the window and when our food was brought out they asked if we wanted the blinds lowered. I chose not to but was getting super hot from the sun. Luckily, there was another table that opened up across from us that we moved to. The restaurant was clean and so was the bathroom. For the ladies, just be careful coming back out since there is a storage closet directly behind the women's bathroom door and if an employee is in it, you will hit them. The customer service was amazing and they are so nice even if you are just getting a refill!! read more
