We had a great experience at Mongolian Grill on Lynnhaven Parkway! The restaurant was clean and welcoming, which really set the tone for a relaxed evening. Our server, Sam, was super friendly and attentive, he went out of his way to make our visit special, even giving my daughter an adorable Christmas hat, which was so thoughtful. The all-you-can-eat concept was fun and delicious, you pick your ingredients and watch them cook it right in front of you, and it turned out perfectly. There's even a small soup and salad bar. The atmosphere was casual and family-friendly, and we didn't feel rushed. Overall, great food, excellent service, and a memorable visit. I'm so glad we finally have a Mongolian spot in the area! The veggies are fresh and what ever seasoning concoction I come up with is always tasty. The sesame bread for me is the star of the show. I always tell the waiter to keep them coming. The only critique I would make is more cooks if possible. I've been 3 times and it's always during my lunch break. There is usually a line of people waiting and only one cook on the grill. Also, this is the first place I've been where shrimp was not on the line. A friend and I checked out Mongolian Grill for lunch and had a great experience! Thankfully, it wasn't busy at all on a Friday so we were seated right away. The server brought us some waters and asked if we wanted white rice. Since we both planned on getting noodles, we decided against the white rice. The stir fry area included a nice selection of veggies, meats and sauces. The meats included chicken (dark & white meat), beef and pork. I believe they add additional meats for dinner. The sauce options included sesame oil, cooking wine, garlic water, ginger water, hibachi, and Mongolian, among others. We grabbed our bowls and started choosing everything we wanted. I will say, the bowls definitely weren't big enough because I could barely get all the veggies and meats added to it. The food was cooked very quickly and everything tasted fresh. I did have to ask for some chili oil and sriracha to give it the spiciness that I like but the food was pretty good. There's also a small dessert area with cake, cookies, fruit and salad, plus two soups; Hot and Sour (which had lots of veggies but lacked tang) and Egg Drop. Overall, with an all-you-can-eat stir-fry spot, you can't go wrong. The place was clean and had a comfortable vibe. They do have other menu items besides stir-fry, so keep that in mind. Service is 4 stars - they greet you with a smile as you step inside. They check in on you and politely ask to remove your plate as you get ready to go back in line for seconds (thirds, etc) Ambiance is 5 stars - being new everything is still clean and bright and welcoming. Food is a 3 stars. Wish there is more selection for protein like shrimp, squid, etc. The food came out oily when I didn't add any oily sauce. Typical Mongolian barbecue that is all you can eat. They got different soups like egg drop and hot and sour soup. They clean up pretty well for the customers because they do spill some sauces to give to the cooks. Pretty generic ice cream if you ask me. read more

This location is a new addition to the strip mall area. With the large grand opening sign it was a sure addition to the food try places on our group list. We came in and were immediately seated for a group of 7 guests which they easily accommodated us for dinner. They have coke products to drink and the drink options were located on the back of a tabletop acrylic sign and the other listed the grill prices for lunch throughout the week and Sunday all day prices. You'll save a few dollars for lunch within the week with singalong all day equating to the amount of a dinner price point. There is a small area set aside for soup - hot & sour and egg drop soup. Kerp in mind the soup spoon will be wrapped up in your utensil wrap at the table. There are no crackers, but there is sesame bread and white rice that's available upon request. The soup was good and paired well with rice. The food area had a lot of veggies, meats, and sauces to choose from. At the end of the line they would prepare your food. The staff were very attentive and polite. We had a member of our group who had a bday and they came by to sing for us. It was a very nice experience overall. I'm glad this all you can eat Mongolian grill is open in this area of Va Beach. It is much needed. The place a beautiful and very spacious. The vegetables are fresh and plenty of options to choose from. The meat offerings were chicken and beef. There wasn't any seafood so that was a bummer. They also have cooked dishes you can order from if you don't want to do the Mongolian. The owner was super sweet. She also owns Sukura, so like she told me go there for sushi and Mongolian for noodles LOL. Definitely a place you should try out if ever in the area. read more

Food here is above board, the atmosphere is very warm and family oriented, the service, be it table or otherwise is absolutely amazing!

So my kid loves Mongolian barbecue so we try to eat a different ones around. This one wasn't bad! I like the amount of stuff they had at lunch. The problem with this place is one, it's tough for my kids to see what they're grabbing. The spacing is tough for little people. Second issue was they use some kind of butter flavoring on the grill I guess the season it but then the food tastes like that fake butter? And that's with me putting in a lot of sauce. It's really nice and clean in there. The staff was really nice. The Mongolian bread was kind of small but good. I can't complain too much. Just not my favorite one in town. But it was still pretty good! I did like how the sauce options were a better flavor than other places read more

This is the best Mongolian grill restaurant in our area. The restaurant is very clean and they clean the "pick your food" area often. This place is also very cheap and have great drinks like boba and alcohol. The servers are always watching and will refill your drinks and sides when ever it becomes low. The cooks know what they are doing and are able to cook all the food without it landing in the spilled food pile. I have been to this place at least 8 times already. read more

Fabulous! Everything was great about this place including the ambiance inside. Quite nice, especially since it is in a strip mall. The food was delicious and the choices varied. Staff is friendly. However, I feel that it's pricey if you choose dinner. Lunch is until 3:00 pm where you would pay $14.95. I came in afterwards and it was considered dinner, which was $17.95. They have takeout menus/pricing, but their all you can eat dinner is very reasonable at like 18 bucks. Very nice atmosphere, with clean, comfortable seating. Very nice staff, they're all friendly and talked to my kids, even gave them a bracelet and keychain toy. After being shown to your table, you head to the food line, grab a plate and as the line moves past raw vegetables and raw meats you add items to your plate. Eventually one of the chefs will take your plate and cook it for you, walking continuously around the giant round wok. Don't forget special Sauces and feed that tip jar for these hard working cooks. It may be a little intimidating with the large variety of things to choose from. all the items were fresh and so many choices. you got a bowl and choose your own ingredients, go down the line of nice fresh vegetables and pick your own vegetables, meat and compose the meal of your choice. Then move down the line and hand your bowl to the grill masters and they cook it for you! Right in front of you! It is done to perfection and delicious. We totally enjoyed our dinner. And since we live close, we can get there in 10 minutes tops- now it is a brand new restaurant and it was sparkling clean and well lit and roomy. It is fun to choose your very own variety of exactly what you want in?on? your dinner plate. My dinner was outstandingly delicious. I will happily go back again soon.
