Has anyone else noticed that the portions at Chick-fil-A Mayfair have gotten smaller? The grilled chicken nuggets are less than half the size that they used to be. I actually took them back today because I got a five piece nugget and two of them were about the size of a dime. A few weeks prior I ordered an eight piece grilled nugget which used to fill the entire container and when I got home, it only filled half of the container. Ridiculous!!! This is such a lovely Chick Fil A. Probably one of the most aesthetic o have ever saw. Staff are always professional, of course. The system is easy an I was pleased to get in and out fast today during breakfast. I ordered the egg white grill. As delicious as it sounded it was not something I would order again. I requested a fruit cup with only strawberries and blueberries because that's what my daughter prefers. I was asked to pull out of the drive-through and wait while they prepared my "custom" order... no problem. However, when I arrived home and opened the container, it was apparent that they had simply picked out the other fruits and given us a practically empty cup except for a few pieces of strawberries and blueberries... seriously? It seems like there's a problem with every order I place at this location (missing sauces, mistaken condiments, stale cookies, etc.). Our family really enjoys Chick-fil-A and unfortunately this is the closest one, so I'm sharing my experience in hope of it making a difference going forward, but I won't hold my breath. read more

I ordered the grilled Chicken salad with the apples etc on 8-24-23. Half way through my salad across from where I was eating... there was a Green Fly crawling around... I felt sick and could not believe!! we took pictures and returned the salad of course got a refund on the salad... but shame on the manager for not refunding the whole meal! Outside of the gross fly in my salad we had to drive back to the restaurant to complain and return the salad. I will never eat a salad again from a chick filet! If you like dependable meals that are packed with flavor then look no further! Chick-fil-a is really good at offering meals that can fit a lot of different diets. When I am counting my calories I get their grilled nuggets or one of their amazing salads with grilled chicken. When I want to eat something a bit more filling, like I did yesterday, I order the 4 count strip meal with a side of their delicious Mac and cheese. I'm also a fan of their sauces, my favorite is the Chick-Fil-A sauce. If you're going for fast food I recommend chick-fil-a every time. This location is great. read more

Tucked away within Mayfaire this Chick-fil-A will pleasure you with the most "My Pleasures" ever. Approach this restaurant from the wrong way and you will drive right past it on your way towards Military Cut Off road. A grave mistake you will make only once as the drive thru line will fill up quickly while you have to circle back around. Speaking of the drive thru line this one is generous without worry of other cars trying to maneuver around you. It's one way in, one way out. Just left this location after an employee, Sabrina, scolded me for ordering a regular lemonade instead of diet. I clarified what she was scolding me for, and she told me I should get the diet. To be transparent, I'm a 5'9" male and weigh 160 lbs, so there's not a lot of weight to lose, but that would've been an inappropriate remark no matter my size. The managers both told me I must have misunderstood her intention. Went to this location a number of times last year (very efficient drive thru even when lots of cars) and this year we went back based on the past positive experiences. We had two breaded chicken sandwiches, large chicken soup, chicken club and large waffle fries. All of it was served hot and delicious. Sandwiches had a good portion of chicken. After the meal we got two small icedream cups (not ice cream but similar) with chocolate sauce and ... a Peach Milkshake. Oh my gosh - what a treat. Actual bits of peach in the drink. Not sure why they don't call it a "Peach DreamShake" (as it is made with their icedream product) but I don't think I have had anything quite so tasty. Only negative found - last year when you asked for certain toppings to be excluded (ie no tomato; no pickles) they would deduct an amount (say 10cents per topping) from the cost. That no longer occurs. Great experience - great location. ** Update Jul 7/12 Have gone here a few times this trip and have ordered mostly the 4pc chicken strips - good quality with good selection of sauces. Peach DreamShake finally came out around July 4th (love the bits of peaches in that shake!). Per the previous review, we ordered a sandwich and removed the lettuce/tomatoes and pickles - we received a 15c credit for the lettuce and tomatoes - so it appears they have returned with that model. Wife likes the coleslaw over most other places (and we have hit a number of southern restaurants). Bottom line - still worthy of 5 stars. Clean location and nice staff. read more

I went to Chick-fil-A around 12:30 on a Saturday and let me tell you....this was by far the best experience I've ever had at a Chick-fil-A, the women that help me was named Crystal and she was an absolute sweetheart. Me and my girlfriend being the clumsy people we both are left our wallets at the house but had already committed to the drive thru line. Quick thinking and help from the staff we ordered online and got our food by the time we arrived to the window. Nicest fast food anywhere. This place is so nice. It's spotless clean, the staff is very friendly and the food is good. I was here with my grandson for an early dinner on a Saturday. Two different young women came by to check on us. One of them (Sarah) stayed to chat and ended up telling me three great sources for used books here in Wilmington that I was unaware of after living here 20+ years.
