This restaurant continues to be bad. I honestly do my best to avoid it, but most of the time I go here out of convenience and/or supporting community activities. I am going to explain my most recent experience in a moment, but I have to say one of my biggest pet peeves with this location is if you order carryout with the app, there are people there who will mark your food as being ready to come out, but they don't come out until about 5 - 10 minutes after your food is marked as ready. It's really ridiculous that this keeps happening because it gives a perception that they have the orders ready on time, when they rarely do. With my most recent visit, I went to support a local school's spirit night. They made a number of mistakes from my mobile order including getting the drink part wrong, no providing a gluten free bun and once again bringing the food out late. I love Chik-Fil-A. But their chicken pimiento sandwich is not at all like their ads. In the ads, they must have used 3/4 cup of the pimento sauce to achieve that 3/4" thick appearing layer of sauce. But when you buy it, you get barely a tablespoon smear that doesn't even show on the outside. Disappointed! This particular CFA isn't what it used to be! The service has gone down hill and they used to take care of the local 1st Responders, but I've heard from several lately that they no longer do this at this location. I do know for a fact that it's the CFA corporate policy to give back to the community, and this is one way they do it, but I imagine there are some managers at this location not training staff properly to adhere to this... Thus charging these men & women in uniform full price, rather than providing a discount. My experience at the drive thru was worthy of praise so an update is due tot he previous review. I am at the point now to where I overlook the lines because let's be real, when is there not a line of some form at Chick-fil-a. The hot days require a cool treat and I don't know about you but their cone always does the trick for me!! The young lady who took my order was cheerful and pleasant and to me, that make the line a little more bearable. Once I got to the window the first gent who took my payment was thrilled to see the Chick-fil-a app on my watch and allowed him to easily scan it and apply my payment to my purchase. This restaurant was quite busy when I went in for breakfast. The cashiers and food order delivery lady were patient, kind, and attentive to getting the order perfect. The customers at this location are remarkably kind, holding the door open for disabled people, and even helping them to the car. Poorly run, zero customer service, and a double charge as a treat! My son had hockey in the area so we figured we'd grab some quick protein on our way to the rink. We ordered ahead through the app and decided to use the drive thru for pickup (first mistake). The line wasn't great but Chik-Fil-A locations in my area of North Carolina run smoothly and quickly so there wasn't a concern. I checked in on the line which confirmed my order and put the charge through - OK there. As we advanced we encountered a second person who confirmed our order - even better, as he confirmed he saw it and all was good to go. Both people encountered were friendly in that Chik-Fil-A way, so again, nothing out of the ordinary. Once we were the third car in line at our aisle (two aisle setup), we had another person come over to tell me that the charge from my online order "didn't work" and that they would need a physical card to take care of the charge. I initially gave them a card, then when the person came back with my card and the food there I questioned why they needed to run it again since I had a pending charge on my original online card. The guy just shrugged, and asked if I wanted my food. I said yes, and could they look into the double charge. The guy said OK and walked away. I could go anywhere anyway because the two cars in front of me hadn't moved. After about five more minutes the cars in front of me moved but no one had come back so I waved down someone else and asked about my double charge. He said he could check on it. Another wait for a few minutes, until finally someone came by and said "the manager wants you to come inside". I finally park and go inside to go talk to the manager, yet the manager stayed in the drive-thru area. I waited, assuming she was just wrapping something up, but she never came over. It took two cashiers asking me if I needed anything to get a manager-type (not the drive-thru manager who ignored me despite asking me to come in). The manager-type person had no knowledge of the situation so he had to speak to the driver thru manager (she spoke to him, not me) and told me that after 30+ minutes of waiting and a double charge, there was nothing they could do. I was told again that one of the pending charges would go away and not to worry about it. Not once in the half-dozen or so people that I spoke to did I get an "I'm sorry" - not for the wait, not for the double charge, not for having to come in only to be ignored - nothing. Horrible visit all around. I reached out that evening to Chick-Fil-A customer service to tell them my experience and received an email stating the same thing (about one of the pending charges going away). I also received an email from that restaurant location, which was a generic form letter that didn't reference anything specific so it was a cut & paste response. Fine. After a few days of waiting and monitoring my credit cards - you guessed it - both charges cleared, so I was officially charged double. I reached out to customer service again, and got no response for a week. I followed up a third time and got the restaurant location to respond, who asked me for proof of the double charge. I showed both credit card statements with the charges cleared, and received a response that they didn't see that on their end therefore they would not refund anything. Honestly, why ask for proof if were going to ignore it anyway? I ended up having to contact my credit card company and contest the charge, nearly two weeks later. The absolute indifference to an error that they initially made goes against any experience I've ever dealt with at a Chick-Fil-A. This was the type of experience you expect from a run down diner 10 minutes before closing, and it was 5 in the afternoon on a Saturday at a chain that prides itself on positive customer experience. Pretty great Chic-fil-a. They're still closed to indoor dinning. In the drive through, the merge lane is poorly handled. Why have two lanes when you merge into one??? I've seen other chicfilas handled this issue a lot better. So issue falls on management. The food is excellent for any Chic-Fil-A. There's been a lot of freak outs there. One time I saw a released mental patient break a sign because they gave him coke instead of Diet Coke. I understand that Diet Coke is more crisp but violence is not okay in expressing that. Amongst their other sauces. I personally like the honey mustard sauce. And their fries was different than other franchises, it's potato but it's cut differently like waffle like looking.. I loved their original chik fila, although I got the deluxe. The pickles were great. I even ordered the spicy chicken sandwich which was delicious too. It's probably the best fast food chicken sandwich I've ever had. Service can sometimes not be that great, but my biggest issue is with the quality and consistency of the food. Last week I received American cheese on my grilled chicken deluxe sandwich even though it's supposed to come with Colby, and this week they didn't include the honey bbq sauce that is supposed to automatically come with the grilled chicken sandwich. I also ordered nuggets so when asked what sauce I wanted I just said regular honey mustard for the nuggets. Well, that's all I got. The fries also almost always suck here too. When i got there the cashier was not working but instead talking to his friends while I was obviously waiting there. I remembered his name which was i think damien. Maybe he was new and didn't know how to properly serve a customer but while i was there he spoke to me in a very rude tone and almost disrespectful towards me.
