Yo this was it. They give enough chicken unlike other places where you have to ask for extra. Ill be nice and wont mention names... for now lol. Bang for buck and great customer service with Daniel and Nas. Clean environment and steady traffic but mostly pick up. Will come back again for the breakfast wrap as it has chicken and eggs and nit sure where they do that. They also will customize for you so they really do know how to serve. Thanks for the experience gentleman

Clean place, which is very nice, music playing but not overly loud. Staff is friendly and the food doesn't take a long time. Pleasantly surprised loaded mac is great, loaded fries are great, chicken sandwiches are darn good. The jalapeño sauce is great Would come more often if we lived closer

    "2. Twice as Nice"

The food was amazing, so flavorful and I was a big fan of the jalapeño sauce! The seating and music made my dining experience super comfortable and casual in the best way possible. I am from the Elk Grove area and have had other spicy chicken places (in Sacramento as well) that are mid in comparison to Chick's 500°. Not only was the food amazing but the owner was so friendly and kind. I loved to hear about how this establishment began and became a restaurant. The "Twice As Nice" meal was perfect for my cousin and I, we got the 100° and 300° and the spice level was just as described. Very pleased with the food, service, and overall experience !! :))

This place is a gem. It is Halal so that means Muslims can eat it like myself. I got the hot level and it was just a little hot but perfect . The interior ambience and decor is amazing. They really put some thought into it and as a customer I truly appreciate it. Sandwiches was fire and their homemade sauce was fire as well. If you're thinking about going, don't think just do it. I will definitely be back.

Restaurant that specializes in Nashville hot chicken, halal chicken, and other fried chicken dishes. A few of their menu highlights are sliders, tenders, wraps, and even loaded fries. Food here is pretty good. I tried their loaded fries although I would get the mac and cheese next time. Fries were well seasoned and came loaded with chopped tenders, coleslaw, pickles, and their creamy jalapeno sauce. I enjoyed their slider a lot which is usually my go to when visiting restaurants that specialize in these. Staff checked back a few times. Overall, a good experience and worth checking out!

House made sauces, crispy spicy fries and great chicken. I am of fan of Nashville hot chicken and this place is the real deal. Especially loved the jalapeño sauce they made. I had the double sandwich deal, so only know that but there was absolutely nothing I could point to that needed improvement. Couldn't finish both, so the normal is great value. Will be going back and like 99.9 % sure it will be a frequent place of mine, so long as they don't punch me in the face or something. Not that I expect that to happen, the owner was very pleasant. It's an upper echelon type of hot chicken place for certain.

One word: WOW! My husband and I shared the Twice as Nice (two slider meal) along with the Loaded Mac, and it was phenomenal! I couldn't put my fork down while eating the loaded mac. It has the perfect amount of cheese, tenders, coleslaw, and pickles! The sliders were great, but the fries??! OMG hands down, the best fries ever! It's like they were battered and then fried. It was fresh, crispy, and had the perfect amount of seasonings, We also ordered a vanilla shake and it was perfect! I had a cup of water and may I add, they have the small, crispy ICE!!!!! The service is top notch and the place is clean. Staff were friendly and the owner checked on us to ensure we liked the food. Loved it and will definitely return!

Chicks 500 hundo is the real deal. I stopped in and was blown away from the first bite. The chicken was tender, juicy, and straight-up fire. The spice level was perfect -- enough heat to wake you up, but balanced so you can still enjoy every bite. The customer service was outstanding. Everyone was friendly, quick, and on point. And the wait time? Perfect. My food came out hot, fresh, and faster than I expected. This spot is an absolute must‑try. If you're anywhere near the area, do yourself a favor and go check it out. You won't regret it.

Ambiance: Very simple decor inside with multiple tvs. Service: Was greeted friendly and pleasant. I ordered the Mac and Cheese to go. I waited about 15 minutes. Food: The Mac and Cheese ($20.00) was delicious and hit the spot. OMG it was so flavorful with sweet and savory. You have to try it. I played it safe with 100 level of spice. Next time going 2 or 300. You have to try this place. It's awesome.

    Delicious chicken sandwich with coleslaw.

What a wonderful surprise!…read more I was in the mood for kebabs and headed to my usual spot, only to find it closed. Rather than give up, I decided to try this Afghan restaurant--and I am so glad I did! The lamb kebab was absolutely outstanding: tender, flavorful, and packed with spices that complemented the meat perfectly. Best of all, it wasn't overly salty, which allowed all of the rich flavors to shine through. The rice was equally impressive--perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned, and delicious enough to enjoy all by itself. In fact, the food was so good that I've already ordered it twice! When I got home, I shared some with my parents. After just one taste, they immediately put away the dinner they had planned to make and asked for the restaurant's address. Before long, I was ordering delivery for them too. That's how good it is. It's not often that I discover a new favorite restaurant, but this place has absolutely earned that distinction. If you're looking for authentic, flavorful Afghan cuisine, I highly recommend giving them a try. You may find yourself becoming a regular just like I plan to be! Thank you for such a wonderful meal. I'll definitely be back.

The flavor was enhanced by the meat being cooked on the bone and some of the bones were split which enabled the marrow to enrich the flavor even more. The portion was more than ample and I shall enjoy another meal as a result. I will simmer the meat longer to complete tenderizing it. I first encountered Afghan cuisine some 20 years ago when I was privileged to work with resettling Afghani people in St Louis, MO. I have eaten at many Afghan restaurants since then and have enjoyed the food very much. However, of all the restaurants and homes that I've eaten in, I have found that I do not enjoy the sauces offers here. There is no true "white" sauce that I've eaten elsewhere and all of the sauces are watery instead of thick. Perhaps it is a regional preference. Also, I wish they would consider adding a half naan/half rice option to the place instead of rice OR naan. The rice, by the way is absolutely DELICIOUS I also enjoy the complimentary green or milk tea but would appreciate a cooler of water to be dispensed in the same area. I enjoy both the food ambience in this casual spot. I will continue to return, as I work my way through their menu.

I love Hot Bunz overall, but my experiences in 2026 have been very hit or miss…read more Several years ago, when I was still living in the government housing projects, I read an article about this new restaurant Hot Bunz, who was coming in hot as direct competition to In N Out. They were being advertised as like, a more "hood" version of In N Out. The food would be saucier, the fries would be stacked higher, and, most importantly, bacon and jalapeños would be available options. When I saw a location in Elk Grove, I assumed it was the original. I tried it, loved it, tried it again, and loved it again. This pattern went on for a while. Overall, my experiences have been mostly positive. Overall, I like Hot Bunz better than the competition. They are a little pricier, but it's *usually* worth it. Recently, I noticed this location on Sunrise, found out that it was in fact the *original* location, and decided to give it a try. The burger was good. I would never want to discourage anyone from trying this small business. I mostly want to hype them up. But I also want to be honest that if either of my last two experiences with Hot Bunz had been my first, they would have also been my last. A few weeks ago, I had a less than stellar experience at the Elk Grove location. My food was good, but did not nearly live up to the brand expectations. I thought, surely this was just a fluke incidence. Surely the OG location will be even better. Upon entering the Sunrise location, I was immediately impressed with the artwork on the walls. The murals themselves are like a slap in the face to all the major competitors. I loved that there was no line. I had actually been on my way to my favorite In N Out location, but came here instead due to an obscene line. Someone from the back yelled out, "I'll be right with you!" I could hear him washing dishes for a few minutes before he came out. It felt clear that I had arrived during a break in the storm, and he was trying to catch up. I asked him what came on the OG, and either he was extremely stoned, or he has a speech impediment that is so severe that maybe he shouldn't be working the front counter (but what I'm saying is: he was high AF). Look, it's no secret that virtually all restauranteurs are high virtually all the time. I'm not trying to be a Karen, I'm just saying that literally the only two words I could make out were "patties" and "grilled onions." I said, "let me just try that." "No fries or drink?" "No, just the burger." "Nine seventy. HEY! IT'S JUST AN OG!" He began yelling to the back before turning his body, resulting in him yelling in my face. Of course, I would never expect the burger I receive to look exactly like the burger in the picture-- but this didn't even look like the same burger that was being advertised on the promotional signage. The burger in the promo was stacked high with some kind of slaw, pickles, and sauce. My actual burger had barely any toppings. As someone who worked at McDonald's for a few years as a teenager, I felt that this burger had exactly the same amount of rizz as regular cheeseburger from Ronald. I came here for an "extra" burger, but (as evidenced by the picture I uploaded) received a burger that could have come from any public country club kitchen. And, while these onions may have graced the grill, the onions I received are not what most people would refer to as "grilled onions." I'm not sure if Hot Bunz is going downhill, or if I just had two fluke bad experiences in a row.

The salad was good. Just your average salad. The naan bread was tender and delicious I had asked if the curry was spicy, and the lady said "medium". I have to remember that when I am in a South Asian restaurant, the term "medium" is relative. The lamb curry was very good. The curry sauce had a lot of flavor, and the lamb was very tender. This was medium spicy. It was well within what I like for spice. The chicken curry, to my opinion, was not as successful. This one was pretty darn spicy. It had a good flavor, but the spice level was very at the top end of what I like for in spicy. The Lassi helped cool the spice The chicken was flavorful, but in my opinion, it was not as tender as the lamb. It was a bit chewy. Also, the chicken curry was a bit oily. Overall, the lunch was good, and I had enough for another meal. The price was on the higher end, but reasonable for the quantity and quality of food. I will come back for that buffet on the weekend. Thank you.

On my first visit to Extreme Hummus I opted to go inside and order vs. ordering via drive thru. I'm…read moreso glad for this as the nice people who work here offered to let me try all their hummus flavors! Every hummus flavor was absolutely delicious making it difficult to pick just 3 for the hummus trio. I went for the babaganoush, white bean & garlic, and the house flavor, Extreme Hummus. I also ordered a gyro wrap and a kabob platter for the hubby. Everything was delicious and the service was great. A week after our first Extreme Hummus visit we went back for seconds, got another hummus trio and some gyro wraps. We are hooked.

I've wanted to try this place for sometime. I decided to do a DoorDash…read more My first order was the Dolmas, grape leaves, with stuffed with rice, olive oil, and seasonings. It came with a tzatziki sauce and a baba ghanoush dip. The grape leaves were tender, and the filling was rich, but not too rich. I did like the baba ghanoush dip, I could taste the eggplant. I also had the beef and lamb Shawarma. Beef, lamb, veggies, tzatziki sauce, and their. Artichoke and pesto hummus. The sandwich was good, but I wasn't a fan of the flatbread. It reminded me basically of a tortilla. It would've been nicer if this could've been on a pita, instead of a flatbread. Also, the artichoke and pesto hummus, there was very little of it in the Shawarma. What little was good, but I could hardly taste it. That tzatziki itself was tangy and good. Not counting the DoorDash fees, I thought that the prices were a bit high. The food was OK. I'm glad I tried it.

I woke up on Sunday and decided I needed a milkshake. It was the only thing in the world I wanted…read more I looked for places near me to get one, because I didn't wanna make it myself and this restaurant popped up. I have thought about trying it for sometime, and Sunday was the day. I got my person off of his computer game and we drove down to a decently busy drive through, so we decided to go inside as we wanted to review the menu anyways. The restaurant was clean and cute, almost set up like a little diner. THIS PLACE HAS EVERYTHING. or at least every fast food type item I wanted to see on the menu. We ordered chicken strip basket, a jalapeño burger, a chocolate shake and fried zucchini. There was at least 40 other things on the menu that I wanted to order, but figured this was a solid order for our first time. There was a little confusion with the cashier over the jalapeño burger, but I refuse to dock stars for a cashier who looked like they were still in training. The important part of the mix up, was the chef came out to clarify exactly what we wanted, so it was never really a problem to begin with. That chocolate shake has been living in my head rent free ever since, because it was perfect. The jalapeño burger (we ended up with 3 patties instead of two, per the menu confusion) basically brought tears to my partners eyes because it was so perfect. And they actually season their fries!!! I would give 6 stars if I could. Don't sleep on this gem. Whether you would call it a drive in or just fast food it is AWESOME.

We've had Burger Shack on our list for a while. We love stopping by old school drive in type burger…read moreshops for a no frills, just good food experience. We stopped in later in the evening for dinner and got the mushroom cheeseburger combo ($12.99), the Pastrami Cheeseburger combo ($14.99), cheese curds ($5.99) and fried okra ($5.99). They gave us our drinks right away and they have the nice crushed ice that's like tiny pebbles. It's always a treat when a spot has this ice because it's tiny and crunchy and not offered a lot. The food didn't take too long and came out on a tray for our dine in experience. There are plenty of booths here and during our visit there were a lot of other people enjoying meals in small groups and couples. The food was hot and fresh and the fries were nicely cooked crinkle cut fries. The fried okra as good, but needed a bit more seasoning or sauce to dip (we had ranch). The cheese curds were great, hot and the cheese was perfectly melty. My husband got the mushroom cheeseburger with just mushrooms, cheese, pickles and added bacon. He said it was a good burger and satisfied his craving, but isn't something he'd specifically seek out. I got the pastrami burger with everything on it and thought it was delicious, but the pastrami was a bit overcooked and dried out so the texture was a bit hard to bite through with the burger and I found myself eating the pastrami separately from the burger. There's plenty of parking here and they have a drive through. I heard the milkshakes are great, so if we stop by again we'll try one.
