This was my first time having Korean fried chicken, so I went with the Supreme Sauce on a Half Chicken after discussing my tolerance with the staff. The Supreme Sauced Half Chicken is tossed in a special gochujang sauce (advertised as medium spicy). The sauce was sweet, savory, delicious, and perfectly spicy. It truly had the right amount of spice for me! It made my nose run a little bit (in a good way) but didn't blow my socks off. I was able to enjoy the flavors but had a good burn on the tongue. I got rice as my side. It was overcooked and boring, but the chicken was so good I honestly didn't care. They come in various forms and I got the soy garlic which was very good. I also had the zucchini fries. I enjoyed the zucchini. The next time I will pass on the rice side with the chicken. Came here hoping for some really good Korean fried Chicken. I got a 10 count of drumsticks, half spicy garlic and half soy garlic. I really wanted to like it, but it simply put it just didn't have any flavor. It was incredibly salty, and no hints of garlic, spice, or really anything else. It was moderately crunchy, the thing you really look for in Korean fried Chicken - maybe just slightly more crunchy than Kentucky fried Chicken is the best way to describe my experience? I've had Korean fried Chicken in other places, so I know what the standard is. Unfortunately this was not it for me. The service was fine, but it did take around 20 minutes for my order to be complete. I don't think they were that busy at the time, but I was willing to wait provided that it would be good! This place is SO delicious and just like the chicken place it replaced, which was called Soo chicken. I was so disappointed to see it go so when I came in and saw a new chicken spot I had to try it. They have all types of wing flavors but the best of course is the soy garlic. However, I got a side of honey garlic today just to try it and it was delicious as well so I would recommend that too. I poured it over my rice because the white rice and soga chicken combo is undefeated. I love this spot and paid around $17 for half a chicken and a side. I wanted to like it since it is the closest korean chicken place, but I definitely would not go again. There are other korean fried chicken places that have more flavor than here. Since the opening of H-Mart, many Korean fried chicken (KFC) restaurants have opened and closed. I really hope that Chicken Bee will be successful. It has become my favorite KFC in the Triangle since I moved to Durham. I was so happy to see that they have a booth in the H-Mart food court. I ordered a 6-piece wing meal, which is one of the few meals you can get for under $10. The wings were just as delicious as I remembered! The crispiness of the wings was perfect, and the flavor was always consistent. The staff at Chicken Bee are so kind and friendly. I appreciate the quality customer service that they provide. While visiting the area, we stumbled into h mart and were very impressed by the food court options. For my main course, I chose chicken bee. I got the small boneless chicken in honey garlic sauce with a side of rice. It was more food than I thought it would be, definitely a great portion for the price as well. The food came out extremely hot and fresh! The chicken had great crunch, were large pieces and were juicy. I also really liked the sauce, and felt that there was just the right amount as well. I have been here multiple times and I will say 8 out of 10 the wings are great. On two separate occasions, I have gotten questionable wings. The issue is the wait time. This was incredible! The experience was top notch. I first came in because a friend recommended the place and I was skeptical at first due to it being in a food court, but the quality of service and food was superb. The nice gentlemen at the cashier guided me through their vast menu and encouraged me to get the spicy garlic wings. They weren't lying when they said spicy, it definitely cleared the sinuses but was very flavorful. The wings themselves were very large and for 11 dollars you get six and I could only eat 3.
