    Chicken Lo Mein
    Scott P.

Decided to give Wang's a try. Overall, the kitchen was clean and the staff was friendly. The food... Good: the egg roll was great. Easily the best part of the meal. The Egg Drop soup was good too. Tons of flavor and not watery. Bad: The General Tso chicken was a ton of small fried pieces that had little actual chicken in them. The pork fried rice was bland and didn't have lots of pork either. I also ordered the chicken lo mein. Same deal. Just basic Chinese - no vegetables in it. Overall, basic Chinese and better options in the neighborhood for the items I ordered.

We go to Wang's Kitchen on a regular basis and have tried many menu items, all have been delicious. I call in my order and then leave to pick it up, always ready quickly and still nice and hot when we get it home. The boneless pork is really good, along with Generals Chicken and sweet and sour shrimp. The picture is tonight's dinner of Szechuan Lo Mein with chicken and roast pork. Hit the spot! Great family run place for take out.

This was the chicken "chow mein" When you order chow mein to go, it give you the option to get different types of fried rice or lo mein, neither of which was chow mein. I called and they said chow mein didnt refer to the noodles, but rather the cabbage and onion. Food was fine though, they just had a misleading option on the menu

Surprisingly large lunch portion. Very delicious.

This place does a consistent job of cooking classics Chinese American dishes. They have a great selection as well.

Pretty good. Wish they had better mustard and duck sauce in container. I haven't seen that in NC.

I had the bourbon berry crush and it was a perfect blend of bourbon and fresh berries and mint and was not overly sweet. We also had the spicy peach margarita and I highly recommend trying this spin on a classic. It was a very refreshing margarita that was freshly made and not overly sweet. The shoestring okra is an appetizer that you have to try. I honestly could have eaten two plates, it is perfectly crispy and a bit spicy with a great aioli dipping sauce. We also had the heirloom tomatoes with goat cheese and the pork rinds and pimento cheese. They were all devoured and enjoyed by all. I ordered the cornmeal crusted catfish with grits and blistered okra. I honestly can't remember the last time I enjoyed a meal so much. The catfish and the grits paired together perfectly. We also had jambalaya and pork schnitzel. I can't wait to return. The waitress was very knowledgeable and the ambiance was great for a girl's night. They even brought a cake out for the birthday we were celebrating.

We started off with a round of drinks, I had wine and my husband had the Mexican Herbalist (delicious). For dinner, we had the special of the day (steak frites) and the short rib. Both were good. The steak was cooked as ordered medium), but didn't hold heat well, as it was a little cool when it arrived. We ended the night with the Apple Gallete, and it was good. Good food, good vibes, service needs some improvement…read more The restaurant is cute and the decor is nice and spacious. Plenty of tables and making a reservation was easy and they were accommodating. I had called in advance to make the reservation for a birthday dinner and we had a little happy birthday sign on the table as soon as got there which was a cute gesture. The menu has a bunch of different things which I really liked. And a few cocktails and mocktail options. We got a few drinks; the Apple Jack, the Mexican herbalist, cinder & citrus, and a few basic drinks. They were pretty good. For apps, we got the fried mozzarella and the ahi tuna wontons and they were both SO good. For mains, we got the lamb shank, the chicken francese (which was the best one) and the beef medallions, which was a little sweet but was fine. For dessert, we got a few. The best was the apple galette, but the Oreo cheesecake was pretty good too. Ashley was our server and she was alright. We asked for bread and she hesitated to get us some. She told us that there might not be any left but she'll check. She ended up getting us some and informed us that that was the last of all the bread at the restaurant. It was only 8 pm but it was alright, it was enough bread, I guess. Once we got drinks, we asked for some extra lime. She got us some, and once again, informed us that that was the last of the lime in the entire restaurant. Odd commentaries that were unnecessary and seemed like a fib. Every drink came with a lime, and some dishes needed lime. Didn't seem like it was even possible to be out of limes. The commentary was unnecessary and seemed like she didn't want to serve us. Even if some of the comments were true, it was unnecessary and made it Seem like the restaurant did not have enough ingredients which isn't a good look. Towards the end she was polite and more accommodating. Food was good and the vibes were nice, the service could've been better.

That has now changed with the Town's growth and corresponding new restaurants but, until we (finally) went to Pimiento Tea Room last night, we didn't know that it is much more than what we'd thought it was. We got the scones (I would recommend the honey and chive butter, she preferred the sweet cinnamon sugar). We also split the French onion Mac and cheese. I love that they use cavatappi (sp? - corkscrews) so the sauce is in and around every noodle. The crisp onions on top provided a perfect crunch! We also split the crab and avocado sandwich with house salad. The house salad dressing was amazing as was the crab and avocado. It was so good I asked for a catering menu for my next event. Thankfully, our amazing service was Gabi, who manages all the catering. Such a great experience on a lovely afternoon.

We started with the cinnamon bun, which was housemade brioche with a vanilla sugar glaze, and honestly it could have been the whole meal. It was that good. We ordered around the table, egg scramble bowl, huevos rancheros, chicken burrito. All of it was solid. The huevos rancheros especially. Salsa roja, chorizo, queso fresco, avocado. Fresh-squeezed OJ and cava in the mimosas didn't hurt either. The food was great. Tori made it memorable. Our server, Victoria (prefers Tori) was just one of those people. She knew when to come by and when to leave us alone, which sounds simple but most people can't do it. Not performative warmth, just actual warmth. She was on top of everything without making us feel managed. We talked about her afterwards. Tori made the occasion. Thank you Tazza Kitchen Stone Creek Village at 600 Ledgestone Way, Cary NC!

And while we were waiting for 5 minutes for our table we were given a slice of pizza to taste, which was an amazing gesture and the pizza was so good, think crust, cheesy but light. We ordered beer and a mocktail for drinks and I loved my mocktail, it was refreshing. For appetisers we ordered their cast iron goat cheese that came with their buttery sour dough bread chunks, the dip was a little too sour for my taste but it was compensated by the flavour full goat cheese. We also ordered their kale and chillies salad for the table and loved it. Highly recommended. For our main course we ordered their Harrisa bowl with crab cake and the Brick oven salmon. The crab cake was on of the best I have ever had. Next time I am definitely ordering their full crab cake order with fries. Every item in the bowl was complementing each other perfectly. The lightly sauted vegetable with a dash of honey tasted great with the tangy white taziki and cucumber sauce and the pearl couscous. I am definitely trying the other bowls next time I am there. The salmon was perfectly cooked and tender. The fried rice, sauted vegetables and the whipped goat cheese tasted so good together. For dessert we ordered their flourless chocolate cake and it was a little dry but very guey and chewy, loved the taste though! Our server was extremely sweet and so considerate of our choices and gave us substitutes and also packed some extra bread togo. So happy and content with food service and the overall ambiance of this restaurant. It gives a fancy vibe but is also very reasonable. Definitely going there again soon!!
