I drove about an hour today for A Hudson Valley Yelp Spotlight at the Chicken Coop. I ordered the Bad Fish sandwich that was my perk item then I added a Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich. I opted for fries(extra charge) and slaw (extra charge).... Including a extra charge for me answering yes to extra-spicy on my sandwich. A small 20oz rootbeer finished my order. My total (not including my freebie Bad Fish sandwich) was just short of $25. NYC pricing(to me). My Nashville sandwich was good though a little light on the chicken.(thin). My Bad Fish sandwich was very good. Fries: old and chewy. Slaw, good and sadly probably the highlight of the meal.

    OG Chicken

If burnt chicken, limp celery, and a side of short black wavy hair is what you are craving, come down to the Chicken Coop. We went here when it first opened and were not impressed. It's been quite some time and we thought, well they are still in business, maybe they got better. ....we were wrong. The fried pickles were gross. They had barely any batter on them and were way too oily. The section of the container that is pinched shut had a hair in it. The chicken wings weren't half bad - hence the one star. The OG chicken was burnt and dry. Found a couple of interior pieces that weren't crispy that I was able to serve to the kids. The chicken reminded me of the scene out of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation when they cut open the turkey. The sides were sub par. Definitely won't be making the mistake of ordering from here again.

I'm sitting here in my car devouring my shrimp Poboy. The bread was really crispy outside , and the sandwich was absolutely amazing. Crispy deep-fried shrimp, with lettuce and tomato with this exceptional sauce. Sauce was tangy with a good kick. Loved that! Shrimp is plump with a crisp exterior and plentiful on the sandwich. The list of wings was gigantic! After perusing for a while, I finally chose barbecue ranch wings. They didn't disappoint! Wings were crispy, very large, and the barbecue sauce was tangy and delicious with a subtle hint of ranch. I love the blue cheese that accompanied the wings. I would've eaten inside, but I had my 92 pound Labrador with me. Inside is very clean and welcoming with tables spaced far enough apart. It was definitely service with a smile. The woman behind the counter was friendly as well as accommodating. When you tip, a chicken clucks out loudly! It's very cute. Overall, a really wonderful experience. They are working hard, but they definitely deliver on the food. Great job!

Small Coop Caesar Salad, dead Dracula boneless wings, and white street cauliflower

Can't recommend this place enough. Food was DELICIOUS. We tried a bunch of sauces, sandwiches, wings, and more and I am hooked! The guys behind the counter were super nice and helped us decide what to order. Highly recommend getting the dead Dracula boneless wings (the sauce is a mix of Caesar, Parmesan, and hot sauce) and a small Caesar salad. I cut the wings up and put them on my salad and I am obsessed. I would eat that every day if I could. Will definitely be back!

My boyfriend is a huge chicken wing aficionado, so I knew that a visit to the Chicken Coop in Somers was perfect for a birthday lunch this weekend! And right I was - this unassuming eatery nestled in a shopping center may not look like much from the outside, but inside, you'll find a warm counter service spot dishing out some of the best fried and rotisserie chicken, plus all the fixin's. The space is simple and small, but don't let that fool you! It's immaculately clean and filled with quirky details, like cute signs in the bathroom and a rubber chicken on a string, which, when honked, elicits cheers from the employees after a customer puts money in the tip jar. So fun! I loved it. The menu is comfort food at its best, and of course, we had to try the namesake chicken! Offered as boneless, wings, or cauliflower (I was intrigued, but that'll have to wait for next visit!), these flavorful morsels can be tossed in your choice of over 10 different house made rubs or sauces. While the decision was difficult, we decided on boneless teriyaki chicken (my boyfriend), and boneless garlic Parmesan chicken (me). The 6 piece serving may seem small, but it was very filling and made for a tasty lunch! The teriyaki sauce was sweet and spicy, and the garlic parmesan was buttery and delicious. Definitely cheat-meal worthy! We were also drawn to the Chicken Varm Bites on the appetizer menu, and these are a must-get! They are boneless chicken bites tossed in creamy vodka tomato sauce and plenty of parmesan cheese! You'll definitely want to take a photo for Instagram of these! #CheesePull For those of you who aren't into chicken, they also offer burgers (a Butter Burger sounded particularly tantalizing), steak sandwiches, soups, and a variety of sides, including roasted corn and house smoked baked beans. Yum! The prices here also won't break the bank, so it's an easy option for a tasty, filling, and affordable lunch or dinner. Chicken Coop also delivers to the surrounding area, so you can get your poultry fix without leaving your couch. Sounds pretty good to me!

Had to return for a second round of take out this week after enjoying a wonderful Yelp event dinner earlier in the week. Everything was so good, had to try more. Shrimp Po Boy, Nashville Hot, fried pickles and shrimp poppers. Yum and yum!!!

This is fucking ridiculous I got my food and my friends had to wait 40 mins to get there food.after all they didn't offer a little food while we had to wait 40 min.I don't recommend this place at all blue hen has much better wings and comes out quick also cheap.also they play trap music like we are in the city.I got 6 boneless wings and small fire for $20 mins as well just gave them my heart and kidney.

There were a few pickup orders, but it was fairly quiet. Don't let that deter you from coming by though!

Most likely of them litter the earth like wrappers from spent candy bars, a constant reminder of good times gone by. And then you get The Blazer. It is one of those places that shouldn't be there but it is and we are all the better for it. A low ceiling, low lights, jubilant conversation in the background all make for a snug setting. The bar is a seen out of Cheers with the conversation between business man and blue collar foreman flowing as quickly and easily as the beer from the tap. The drinks are cold and served quickly with a smile but it's the food that takes the crown. The menu is small but everything is cooked and presented perfectly. In all the years God has blessed me with life I have never had a better chicken wing. The Blazer traditional wing is served dry with limited spice but full flavored and from a temperature standpoint hotter than the devil's pitchfork. They were perfectly cooked, completely rendered, flavorful gifts of gastronomic joy. The burgers, cooked in a broiler style format, were fresh, perfectly cooked, delicious and of ample portion. The chicken fingers, which were each one a meal, served red hot, perfectly cooked, crunchy on the outside and tender within. The chili cheese dog was everything it should be and the French fries, which are a traditional steak fry cut, were incredibly crunchy on the outside and soft and tender within. Every bar and pub owner and chef should come here. This is the superlative example of a simple menu, cooked perfectly and served quickly with a smile. It is obvious that the setting, service and menu gets them to come back again and again across generations from miles and miles around.

We came as we understood the wings were the best in Westchester County... After trying two varieties, and being on a perennial wing trail chase for the last four years... I find that title difficult to believe. Wings were meaty, cooked correctly, and came well appointed with blue cheese and celery. Plus, I'm a sucker for wing establishments that provide the wooden bowl for bones. I love that. Otherwise, I found the wings lightly sauced, and kind of dry... We tried the blazers traditional, which are fried, sauce, then refried... They needed one more dunk in sauce to be top-notch. Our second order was their teriyaki wings... much more palatable... But we're still lacking. And I'm not a huge fan of wings that are not sauced in a hot sauce base. The opportunity to add a side of wasabi sauce to any wings was a welcome addition... As we needed the moisture. We did not try any other menu items, but the pub food looked delicious... And our server was fantastic. I do look forward to going back and trying to order things slightly differently... I'll chalk this first experience up on me not really strategically placing my order or knowing how to maximize the potential of a really great place. I know next time will be better.
