The hush puppies I had with my fish were excellent and highly recommended. The staff behind the counter really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Get us our food. Today we happened to be driving to Natural Bridge Caverns and saw this place on the side of the road and decided that we'd drop in to try it out after walking a mile underground. Not too present, not too absent, and very approachable. We got an order of chips and salsa to start and for us, we don't mind paying for chips and salsa. But make it worth it. And this definitely was. The server brought us a big basket of chips and a cup of salsa that we barely put a dent in. It was more watery than we prefer but the flavor was amazing. The chicken was perfect: flavorful, moist, and plenty of it. The charro beans were delicious, and the rice was, too. Literally zero real complaints here. We saw, we ate, we conquered.
