I would give this place zero stars, but that isn't an option. I understand this is an activity place that accidentally sells food...yes, I said accidentally sells food. We ordered the skirt steak medium rare and when it arrived it was cold. Like it hadn't been placed on the fire at all. The fries were over cooked, so they do have hot oil. They ran out of hot cocoa and had to boil water for a cup of hot water...We rented the igloo and since we made the mistake of ordering food, we are subjected to holding the plates in our laps. Perhaps we had higher expectations of what to expect here. To add insult to injury...I've never had to pay for my food before getting my order...but apparently this is common practice here. Again, perhaps our expectations were a bit too high!!! I want to add, we had an amazing waitress, Isabel, that was courteous and understanding that it was our first time there. The chips were under fried and they brought another batch that was better. The guacamole was under salted and could use a little more acid. Burgers were huge and generous with the bacon. Came here with a fellow yelper to play pickleball and it was bustling on a Tuesday 4pm. I love that there's a dog park you can bring your dogs to have fun and eat next to you on the outdoor pickleball courts. The facilities are super nice. I didn't eat the food here so I'm mainly just rating Chicken N Pickle for their ambiance and vibe! I came here with a group of friends after spring training and it was such a good time! This place is huge and has places to hang inside, outside, in the shade, in the sun - any setup imaginable! They have pickleball that you can play as well as some cornhole. We ordered some drinks and just hung out on lounge chairs for a few hours. Service was great! They were consistently checking in on our group! Definitely a great place to go with a group! read more

This was a perfect place for to host an outing for my work's Wellness Club! Tons of courts both indoor and out. We opted for outdoor, but truthfully indoor might have been better because it was a little windy! Regardless of what you choose, there are tables set up along the courts so you can enjoy food & drinks in between play. I enjoyed my dish--I went for the buffalo chicken wrap w/ crispy tots. I believe entree that was on special and is not always on the menu. I love that you can enjoy the space before or after playing pickleball, there are tons of indoor and outdoor seating options where you can enjoy a bite or drink with your friends. They also have other yard games like cornhole, giant jenga, and connect 4. The only downfall is that being it's located at Westgate, the parking lot situation is a little crazy (there was a Cardinals game that same night)... so keep this in mind when determining court reservation times and plan for extra time to find parking! I'm not impressed in my first visit. Our group had reservations for a court for two hours. First, they don't have breakfast menus at the tables. So I had to go inside to look at the breakfast sign to figure out what I wanted. Then I was told to go back outside to my table and raise the flag if somebody didn't come by in five minutes. This is ridiculous and for somebody that's disabled a lot of unnecessary walking. My server (Aaliyah) taking my order had to go back to the kitchen to find out what ingredients meant "loaded." I ordered loaded based on what i was told. They did not ask for my card when I placed my order. When I asked about my order later, they checked on it and came and said it must've been closed out. Did I get my card back and I explained I didn't give them a card because nobody asked for one. So this added unnecessary time just to get a simple plate of food. I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese burrito loaded with an order of tots with cheese. The tots came close to an hour AFTER the burrito and only after asking about them 4 separate times. The tots did not have cheese as ordered. The burrito was not loaded and while it did have some bacon, it also had sausage which I specifically said I did not want sausage. Because it took so long to get my full (but incorrect) order I was unable to play any games not even corn hole because i had to sit at the table waiting for my food. The prices are great. The food was good even though it was not what i ordered. The people that deliver the food cannot take orders. So getting orders for everyone took some time. I would come back again because of the smaller games and activities that are available. Due to my disability, I do not play Pickleball. And I'm glad I didn't because two people were seriously injured. Not the fault of the restaurant. But still. If you have limited time and get a order taker and server like we did, a lot of your time can be wasted. The staff needs to be trained better. They need to know what's on the menu and with all the options are. The menus are mostly just a list of ingredients. They do not explain how things most things are prepared. read more

Our work crew came here after a volunteer event for some lunch. It was good! They have lunch deals during the week M-F for $12.99, you get a sandwich, fries and a drink in a souvenir cup. You order at the counter, get a number and then they deliver your food to you. I went with an order of fried pickles to start, and then I went with the NKC hot chicken sandwich, fries and a root beer to drink. How was the food? Fried Pickles- These were great! They slice them into little rounds, and come deep fried served with ranch. Super crispy and crunchy, and the ranch was a great dipping sauce. We got the order for 4 of us at the table, and I probably ate 75% of them. Would definitely get them again! Great appetizer! NKC Hot Sandwich Combo- It was pretty tasty! The chicken was nicely fried, but some of the breading came off during me eating it. The slaw was ok, and the "hot" sauce wasn't super hot, but you could tell it was there. I've had better hot chicken sandwiches elsewhere, but this was still solid. Fries were freshly cut but a bit soggy (kind of like 5 Guys fries). Free refills on the drinks. Service was good! They brought out any sauces we requested, as well as cleared our plates in a timely fashion. If I was in/around Westgate I would come back to try something else. It was so much more. It's an entertainment venue, that offers more than pickleball. Of course the pickleball is enough for those of us who love the game. The designer created the right active vibe with bright colored furnishing inside and out. There are outside courts including one that has a party room attached. The outdoor space has a variety of seating areas with tables to watch games and enjoys meals and drinks. There are a number of corn-holes, jenga, games around the grounds. There are two bocce courts as well as other outdoor games. The also have indoor courts with garage doors that can be rolled up. This also has tables and food service. Outside there is a pizza kitchen area for busy weekends. They rent out the facility for large groups. The restaurant and bar have two stories with bars on each floor. The second floor has a balcony overlooking the courts and grounds. We ordered from their restaurant and bar, sweet potato fries, rotisserie chicken, berry mock cocktail and wine. The fries were nicely seasoned and chicken was good served with tortilla, pepper and avocado. Although the star was the facility. It has such a fun festive feel to it that adult and children would find it entertaining. There were a few office Christmas Parties being held while we were there. Everyone seemed to be having a great time playing pickleball, bocce ball,, corn-hole drinking and eating. They also have pickleball products for sale. It appears they now have eight locations across four states and several more opening soon... I decided to make the trek to Glendale to check this one out with my kids last weekend. I was impressed from the initial phone call to schedule a lesson to the moment I walked in... It's a beautiful indoor / outdoor complex that includes not only 10 pickleball courts, but a variety of other games for both kids and adults. It offers TVs, food, drink, and friendly service too! The three of us took a lesson from Dylan and had some lunch... we enjoyed the experience and will definitely be back. Our waiter was kind & even memorized all 5 of our orders which was impressive. Our daughter's soda was flat & told him we believe it's something wrong w/ their CO2 in their machine & he was kind enough to get the soda from downstairs which was better. Our order consists of: country fried chicken sandwich w/ fries, 3 chicken pickle sandwiches (grilled which is soaked in pickle juice) w/ fries & sweet potato fries & the bbq pork sandwich w/ sweet potato fries (the slaw is spicy) & all our food was delicious just an suggestion to make sure all the fries are giving evenly w/o any end pieces. Meals are $14, fried pickles $11 & alcoholic drinks are $13. We also ordered their famous fried pickles w/ ranch dipping & they were so good. I do not care for pickles but I love them fried. 1 order of our fried pickles were overcooked so they brought us a new order w/o any issues. Just wow. I came here today for a fun day activity while on vacation. When we walked in, we were very confused. The workers instantly came up to us and explain the whole building, the kitchen/tabs, and everything to do! They were SO helpful and nice. After we got a 1/2 roticery chicken and spoke with the chef a little, then found a table outside. When food was delivered, we got told that the chef put and extra 1/2 chicken on him, which was so incredibly nice. After eating the delicious chicken and fries, we checked into the pickleball courts. The service was so fast and easy. We played pickleball for an hour then played other games in the courtyard area. The environment here was phenomenal and the customer service was top notch! One of my new favorite places to go!! Wow. I truly am a sucker for a bar where you can play games at and Chicken n Pickle has it ALL. We celebrated New Year's Eve here and played 1 hour of pickle ball in their outdoor court and we had a blast. You can order food and drink out there, and the service was quick. You can play pickle ball with 2-4 people, but on this occasion it was just me and my boyfriend and we still had so much fun. You do need to pay for the 1 hour court rental, paddles, and the ball though heads up, it's not all included in the price. For some reason on New Years they were only open until 10pm but their hours say later. We enjoyed a glass of wine, beer, and fried pickles while playing pickle-ball. The fried pickles were alright, could've just been the batch we got, but the pickles inside the breading were very thin hard and chip like, not thick and juicy. After our court time was up, we played some more games, they have connect four, hula hoops, corn hole, ping pong, and large jenga. We also checked out their rooftop bar, which wasn't open by the time we got up there, but I would love to check it out in the future. I spoke with Peyton V. to chat about planning events there in the future either for parties or corporate events and she was excellent! She answered every question and provided all options and recommendations and truly made my experience at Chicken N Pickle the best. Lets just get it out of the way, this is top golf but for pickleball. Soon as you walk in, you come into a bar/dining area like top golf, aesthetics are just like top golf. What really struck me though is just HOW much dining seating there was. You can sit anywhere, and there so much space, so if you don't want to sit near people, no problem, head towards the back. I almost feel they could have stuck a few more pickle ball courts in and removed some of the seating and it'd still be a lot. But Sunday afternoon, dining seating was pretty sparse. Food was pretty ok-ish. Got rotisserie chicken (good) and rib (awful) combo, smoked fried chicken (very good), and deviled egg which was a bit weird as I think they mixed in some pickle juice in them? But the tab system that crossed both the food and bar areas made the whole process easy. But you're not really here for food. We got an indoor pickleball court and it was nice and A/C. Plenty of bar and table seating located right at the court itself. Overall, a very seamless experience. Would be back if I'm looking for a pickle ball specific day. read more

Chicken N Pickle is a super fun hangout spot. We visited Saturday morning and I can honestly say it's worth the money. The food was tasty and the service was extremely efficient. The courts are easy to find and it's nice to be able to take breaks for food and drinks. I had the chicken and waffles, there was bacon in the waffles which was pretty awesome. I would recommend asking for extra syrup as the small container they provide doesn't suffice for how big the waffle is. This was a decent sized portion, the chicken was fresh.
