I love going here! It's super fun, courts are maintained, everything is clean. The food here is surprisingly so bomb--definitely worth saving your appetite before heading here. I recommend the smoked wings, but def get the chicken and waffles. When it's windy outside, it still isn't even that bad. For service, Isaiah was awesome with his quick and kind service! I ordered the hot chicken sandwich. I thought the chicken sandwich would have more sauce on it, there was just a splash of hot sauce on it. I asked a team member for more sauce and all it was just cholula hot sauce in the bottle. Menu mentioned slaw but it was just cut up lettuce no flavor to it. The sandwich lacked flavor and I wish it had more flavor to it. We stood in line for a long time. Staff member on their phone not paying attention to customers in line. We also stood at the bar tops for about 5 minutes trying to order drinks and were not acknowledged by the staff until we spoke up and asked for some help. It was a busy night so I understand, but just have staff be more mindful of addressing customers despite things being hectic. We brought our dog to the dog park and he enjoyed his play time with other dogs at the park. We hope our next visit will be different. read more

1 STAR - goes to Lina Ruiz, Restaurant Manager. We made reservations today for an Igloo at 12pm and a pickle ball court for my son's birthday. It was a gorgeous day and the sun was beaming where both igloo's were located so unfortunately the igloo was over 100 degrees inside which meant we were unable to sit inside for even 2 minutes. We asked to speak to a manager and someone came out that clearly wasn't a manager because she was unable to assist so then Lina comes out and we were honestly the nicest customers and simply gave feedback about the igloo being too hot to enjoy and asked if she could either put the $40 rental fee towards our bill OR just reserve it for a later time in the evening when we could actually enjoy it. She immediately brushed off our concerns and could care less about anything we were saying. I'm trying to figure out why anyone would have hired her as a manager to represent this location if she is not qualified to handle customer feedback or concerns. Honestly the way she handled the situation left us all blown away especially because the place was empty. A Monday afternoon.... 12pm... maybe 20 people max while we were there. She kept saying s'mores were included but that had nothing to do with our concerns, I could buy the same s'mores setup on Amazon for $10. I'm all about making people happy and focusing on deep hospitality, if there's one thing chicken and pickle could do for their guests at the Henderson location it would be to focus on training Lina if they plan on keeping her as the representation of this location. Also, I'd highly recommend having your manager's Instagram profiles private so people can't look them up.....Hopefully this a learning experience that you could use for future customers. 5 STARS - goes to our server, Chris. Chris was the best server! He was very helpful with drink selections, always checked on us, very attentive and had great conversation. The food was great as well as the drinks! This is truly one of our favorite places and come very often with friends and kids. Thank you Chris for showing us a great time today and for being the complete opposite of your "leader". After our reservation was up, we purchased another reservation outside that was over an hour later. Delma was so gracious to let us use a free indoor court while we waited that had a no show. She was so sweet and kept us updated if anyone was coming in for the court we were using. We ended up playing indoors well over an hour cause the court kept having no shows. I will start by saying that I really did NOT want to like Chicken N Pickle. I love chicken, and I love pickleball. But this place is far, and we normally play pickleball for free. So I didn't want the urge to come back here to be too strong. But after playing for 90 minutes and exploring the space a bit before that, the urge to come back is definitely quite strong. The indoor courts rule. They're really nice, and conveniently located right next to a bar. What more could you want!? The food is a little pricey, but the drinks seem reasonably priced. The outdoor covered space is a great idea for the summer. But don't expect to be able to play games on those courts during the rain and wind. The courts will get wet, and it is very slippery. If you want to play games in those conditions, get an indoor courts. It's twice the price, but you won't be risking your body. This is a really great spot to come with friends and have a drink or two when the weather outside is too brutal. The price is just too steep to be a regular spot. But you could do a lot worse. read more

Came for a private event and had an incredible time! The food is great, and the atmosphere is so fun - but the real diamond of this location is the staff. Our server Corey was so attentive and energetic. He was a great sport with all our banter and silly questions, and offered great suggestions that were always 10/10! Malik was also a server in our area and he was super fun and super knowledgeable about what to order based on our preferences. Champ was also one of the servers in our area and she went above and beyond to ensure our space was tidy and organized, and was so personable! We spent many moments laughing with her. I absolutely LOVED this place. It was my new favorite place. Until I had an absolutely HORRIBLE experience. In fact, I went there there times in one week. And had planned to make it my new "go-to." First Experience: When my best friend (a veteran with six tours under his belt), I wanted to take him somewhere special. I thought why not bring him to Chicken & Pickle? We went there and had a great time. For whatever reason, he will never let me pay when we go out. I always try to pay. Isn't that what we're supposed to do when we go out with veterans who made tremendous sacrifices for our country? But he's strong-willed. Obviously. He's a combat vet. We had a GREAT time! Second Visit: I took my future wife, Renee, there another night. We share our resources. But she handles our finances. So she has the cards. Third Visit: I had an absolutely horrible day. Horrible. So I decided to go to Chicken & Pickle to lift my spirits. The first two experiences were so great, I thought it was a safe bet. How wrong I was. When the check came, I tried to pay with cash., because I don't use credit cards. The only person I want tracking my spending is Renee. Nor do I want to risk becoming a slave to a creditor. They wouldn't allow me to pay with cash. When I said, I don't have a card. I use cash, the bartender became indignant. "Didn't you see the sign at the front door that says "credit only?" "No, I said. I've been here twice, and neither time did I pay myself. So I never thought about it. Also, I used to be in the restaurant industry. Maybe things have changed. But when I ran restaurants, we loved cash. So much so that we encouraged cash payments by offering a 10% cash discount. The man got his manager. Again, I tried to calmly explain why I couldn't pay with a card. But I was more than happy to pay with cash. Again, he refused. So I offered an alternative. "How about I leave you my drivers license or the cash so you know I'll make good. I live up the street. And I'll come back tomorrow with Renee so that she can pay with a card?" I thought this was reasonable. Nope. Instead, the man yelled at me. And then accused ME of yelling at him! This is called gaslighting or projecting. Anyway, needless to say, I will not be retuning to this establishment without a formal apology. Too bad, because I am planning a big 50th Bday party for August 2, and I thought o would celebrate at Chicken and Pickle. Oh, well. Their loss. Not mine. The bartender or lucky their superior has more patience with rudeness than I do. Because when I was a GM, I fired employees on the spot for lesser infractions than this. This place was a bit shocking that both the food and the service were so bad. We received really undercooked chicken and one employee tried to convince us that the pink, bloody chicken wasn't under cooked, it was just an illusion because they smoke their chicken and it makes the meat look pink. He had no explanation for the blood. Simple solution would have been to just cook it more, and problem would have been solved, but no! They decided to treat us like idiots instead. Then it took them several attempts to get us the correct check because there were several people with the same last name there. They have a really screwy system for getting your check. And in fact, it was such a dysfunctional mess, we're still not really sure what their system is. It looks like they bring you a check, any check, and then wait for you to say, wait! This isn't our check. This is not what we ordered. Then they give you another check to screen to see if that's your check, and we said nope, that's still not what we ordered. Third try we got the correct check. There's no need to go here to eat. Plus, they have flat wood dining chairs which are really uncomfortable for you to sit on as you dine on your raw chicken. read more

I have never written a Yelp review before, however I was inspired to air my grievances online and in a public forum to vent, reflect, and maybe gain some perspective on what exactly my Wife and I experienced upon our visits the last two Sat nights (8/30 & 9/6). We had a fantastic experience a week before when we brought our puppy and 2 kids. The staff was prompt & attentive. A fabulous night! 8/30 my Wife & I brought our puppy again to play and have dinner and watch the players. We informed the Staff as soon as we arrived we would be out by the Dog Park dining area. 45 mins goes by...nothing. So I walk up to the bar and ask if we can order food, "Nope. Kitchen's closed." Bummer that no one ever came to actually TAKE our order...but look...everyone has bad nights....so we left to find some food elsewhere. Tonight, we made sure to get there earlier with our pup so se could get dinner and play. We were approached by Staff on our way to the outdoor dining area by the dog park and he recognized us from before and said, "Go ahead and sit at a table and Ill send someone out." 20 minutes go by....nobody comes. So I walked to the restaurant to ask for a server..."Yep, Ill send her right out." 15 more minutes.....nothing. My Wife, myself, and my pup were all starving, so we walked over to the indoor restaurant and I asked the bartender if we could order food..."Yep, Someone will be right over." 15 minutes later....nothing. The servers didnt even acknowledge us they were serving other tables. So we moved to a closer table to the bar, as most of the customers were at the bar and maybe someone would acknowledge our existence. 15 mins later, I made eye contact with a gentlemen server and asked if we could order. He came over, threw down the menus and stated (I had my vape sitting on the table with my phone and keys, I wasnt even using it) and states, "Put that thing away. Those arent allowed on property." Yes Sir, I know. Im not using it, it's just sitting there! Weird! Then, he says "You can order but you need to pay first." I said, "I pay for my food first??" I was so confused....what was happening here?? It was almost 2 hours of us trying to spend our money here and we were met with hostility once we were validated that we werent invisible and did, in fact, exist! So we said, "Nevermind, we seem to be bothering you, we'll go." He said, "Good." What in the bad service, cranky staff, disgruntled employees was happening here??! Look... I am NO Karen. I never complain and always respect Servers...I am in the hospitality business too...but I had to say something. The whole experience was just....odd. Hopefully ya'll have a better experience! I love that even if you aren't into pickleball, there are still things to do like eat, drink, play yard games, watch sports, utilize the dog park, etc. Food that we got to try was good, and im excited to try their full menu. Such an awesome concept for big and small groups alike. My brother, parents and I love playing pickleball together and wanted to check this place out over Christmas break. They take reservations for indoor and outdoor courts so we locked in a 6:30 slot on a Friday night. It was pretty busy so we had an outdoor spot to ourselves. $40 buys you 2 hours of gameplay. We honestly wanted to just focus on getting as many games in that we didnt end up taking advantage of the food service despite the friendliest servers checking on us periodically. It was a beautiful place and I can definitely see myself coming back and enjoying some food, drinks and pickleball next time! read more

I am so glad this sports bar opened on St. Rose. It was something needed in the area. I stopped by for the first time today to play pickleball and try the food. I reserved the court paddle and ball online. Highly recommend doing this due to how busy the courts get. My friend and I were both beginners but still had a great time playing. We were in the inside courts and at times our ball would bounce to the neighbor courts. The other teams were extremely friendly and would always bounce the ball back to us. It's a very inviting area with lots to do. Aside from the pickle ball courts there are human sized Jenga, Connect Four, corn hole, and table tennis in the center. These are open to anyone and first come first service. There is ample seating outside on the bottom or balcony for 21+. Dogs are welcome and there's a specific area for them, I ordered the pulled pork burger with sweet potato fries. The food was great. You order on the first floor and they hand you a number. You can choose to sit anywhere and the servers will hand you your food once it's prepared. Excellent communication and service from the waiters. Nice touch is that you can keep the pickleball if you "rent" one from them! read more

The food is good. I wouldn't say great, we met up with family the first time we came to their establishment was in Kansas City. So much fun. This is a lot like it. The service was great and the entire place is family friendly. We booked a court (which we highly suggest). Plan to eat before and chill before your game. Then enjoy biting the calories. read more

Devon and Tristian at the front are awesome! We come every Monday and they are always so kind and helpful with any questions. I will say today we realized their manual clocks at the courts are all off a minute or two. Tough to make sure to not intruding on other or not leave late. Then we had to give them a credit card before they would start taking our order. Very odd off putting start. The waitress took our whole order without introducing herself or asking for our drink order. Our appetizer arrived at same time as meal. Food was nothing special.
