5 stars for Pickleball; love the atmosphere, courts and staff for the courts is great etc and am playing over the summer x2 per wk with a group of friends. 1 star for customer service as relates to food/beverage in restaurant area. I am ONLY writing a review b/c shockingly there is NO way on their website or corp side to share a negative or positive experience. that's crazy to me. Bottom line; my friend was charged $17 for a glass of Chablis, NOT a long pour but a mere glass of approx 5 fl oz. I too ordered wine, a Cabernet and was charged $6.50. Assumed b/c it was asked by our group if they had HH prices for food/bev's since it was 4:30 pm Tuesday. Also assumed I got the lower price b/c it was HH and my friend somehow mistakenly was overcharged. Friend, went to servers, bartender then mgr and it was the most pathetic display of customer service I have seen in some time. They essentially did not care one iota; were not even remotely kind or empathetic about the situation, asked my friend for proof about the wine; naturally she drank it so no evidence to display...haha. My friend was not looking for a huge discount but when she saw what I was charged and then what she got charged, she hoped staff would at least take off $2 or $3 for HH discount. That was not the case. She was told "sorry, that is just the price, we aren't changing anything". Sadly, CNP will miss out on continued revenue from my group at least; which easily is 6-8 ppl x2 wk and we often will go eat or maybe have a HH drink after. I am a concierge Mobile IV RN; meaning I don't work depending on healthcare insurance to cover the services my patients receive; they pay out of pocket; so I totally understand the imperativeness of possessing good CS skills, communication, friendly, warm disposition, using finesse in difficult situations or when a misunderstanding presents; it's imperative for maintaining an excellent reputation and repeat business. This is why I was shocked at the attitude I saw displayed towards my friend. I do enjoy the PB courts there immensely but won't be doing anything beyond that in the establishment going forward. There are too many options in the DFW area for food, bev's, HH prices etc. and quite a number within a mile radius of the CNP Allen location. read more

After patiently waiting for this place to open for two years, you bet I was going to be there for the grand opening. I had an absolute blast at Chicken N Pickle! From the moment we arrived, our server, Christian, made sure we were well taken care of. He was attentive, friendly, and even introduced us to Rochelle, the events coordinator. Let me just say, Rochelle is a gem! She was so sweet and beyond helpful as I explored the idea of hosting my 40th birthday here. Stephanie helped me understand the process and was always so sweet and helpful. Thank you! The vibe was incredible--I met so many new friends and made connections that I'll cherish. Playing hours of pickleball felt like just 10 minutes because time flies when you're having that much fun! Everyone was so patient and welcoming, which made learning and playing with new people such a joy. Safe to say, I'm hooked! This place is my new weekly hangout spot. I am writing this after me and my party of 10 had an incredibly upsetting visit on 3/14 at the Henderson nv location. First off let me start by saying, for many of us this was our first time coming. The one friend who wanted to go there, we were celebrating that he found out he didn't have cancer no more. All of us were in our 30s and up an 2 little kids. Which shouldn't matter for this situation just stating because when the GM who I believe his name was Craig completly scared my children. 4 of the members of our party got there first, they asked id they were able to just push the table back a little out of the sun, not one, not 2 but multiple employees said yes that wasn't a problem. So they pushed a table that was outside just a couple inches back. And literally just a couple inches. Nothinhwild. Didn't redecorate the place. Just a bit out of sun. We ordered drinks and apps and as we were waiting the GM came right up to our table, no hello. Nothing. And yelled, and I'm not even exaggerating when I said yell, came in very hot and said "WHO TOLD YOU YOU COULD MOVE THIS TABLE?!" We all looked confused cause we were being yelled at like we were little kids. We simply answered and said well the workers that we asked. He began to keep raising his voice at us as we are looking confused because he is asking us "who?! Point the out who told you that!" There were also servers around him that looked very scared and confused why he was yelling at us and one server even saying he told us we could move the table. When he approached us the tone was right away confrontational and aggressive. He yelled to say it was the fire truck path. And we said ok it's no problem we can move it back but there was no reason to yell at us for the fact that it's rude and we also asked. We also said you are coming in very hot for no reason for him to keep going. At this point we said we'd like all of our orders cancels cause we were embarrassed of being yelled at in front of people and down right disgusted how a GM would treat customers. Even when we said cancel all our orders he turned and walked away and didn't want to do that. He went in the back and hid. Instead of addressing the issue calmly he came out with full aggression. We were going there for a celebration and left truly disgusted! We had all the waiters coming up to us apologizing because they couldn't believe how he acted and spoke to us! It was truly shocking. We have a lot of people in the hospitality business in our party that was there and that was truly shocking. Another manager who helped us cancel our orders even kept apologizing for his behavior and a waiter letting us know this is common behavior for him and the workers get use to it and he's known for treating customers like this. As a customer, I expect to be treated with a basic level of respect and professionalism, even if there's an issue that needs to be addressed. I have no problem with rules being enforced or concerns being raised, but the way it was handled felt completely unnecessary and frankly disappointing. I'm not writing this just to complain--I'm writing because situations like that reflect on the establishment as a whole. A calmer, more respectful approach would have gone a long way and likely avoided the frustration that came out of the interaction. I hope this feedback is taken seriously. We took our business somewhere else and celebrated our friend! First time there and the last! You can see Craig in the yelp comments. Not his first bad review. Would hope the company looks into a new GM. Someone like that hurts a business. He should think of a job not in hospitality and customer service and look into maybe a job by himself. Everyone was so friendly! We were welcomed by the nicest hosts! The food was delicious and the employees were so helpful. Nyla was our server and she had the best drink recommendations based on what we liked. Even our toddlers had fun! We will be back everything was amazing Food! Ambiance! Service 10/10!! I signed my 9 year old up for private lessons with Selina in January. We invited 2 of her buddies to join the lessons to keep them engaged and having fun together. The two girls had no experience with a racket sport. My kiddo had previously taken tennis lessons. We are 4 months in and the girls are having a blast! They have all shown improvement and are just as engaged in learning as they were on day one. Selina is fun, patient and encouraging while being professional. I appreciate that she starts with a quick warm-up, does drills and has the girls playing as if it were a real game to teach them how to keep score. Chicken and Pickle is a great venue but Selina is the icing on the cake! I think everyone, young and old can benefit from lessons, whether it's to learn, brush up on your skills, hone in on your form or correct bad habits you never knew you had! My child is learning a life skill that she can take with her throughout life. I won't have to worry about her making friends if she moves anywhere in the world [at any age] because there's a Pickle League she can join to have an immediate connection! The waitress we had SUCKED and she was RUDE AS HELL! We were super nice to her and she looked like we were inconveniencing her every time she brought us a drink!!! Good lord- don't be a server if you hate it that much. Every time she brought drinks- we said thank you with a smile and she just walked away with an attitude. It was AWFUL. We booked two pickleball courts along with an event room and spent around $500 on food and drinks for our group. This was planned ahead of time and was meant to be a full experience for a larger party, completely from out of town. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told the courts were overbooked. Instead of honoring our reservation as the larger party that paid significantly more, the venue chose to give priority to people who "normally book" those courts. As a result, our group's plans were disrupted despite having paid and reserved in advance. To make up for the inconvenience, we were offered one complimentary shot of alcohol, which honestly felt dismissive given the amount of money spent, the time we coordinated, and the frustration of having our reservation mishandled. Mistakes happen, but how they're handled matters. In this case, the compensation and response did not match the inconvenience or the cost we incurred. We expected better communication, accountability, and a more reasonable solution. If you're booking for a group or event, be cautious and confirm everything multiple times. This experience was disappointing and not what we expected given the price and planning involved. read more

When I say Chicken N Pickle, I thought literally chicken and pickles (food). But they have full on pickle ball courts and a large open area with games and lounge chairs. The crew & service was good. The slim Cobb salad look like it fell on the ground they juat scooped it back up and put it back on the plate. It was all mixex up and not a traditional made Cobb Salad.. ‍and 2 huge chunks of Chicken not sliced. Second time visiting. Knocking it down to four stars because we had a great time, but our server this time was a rude. He looked upset and he gave me the feeling that we were bothering him. The first time we were there, the waiter told us to raise the orange flag if we needed anything. My 5 year old nephew grabbed the flag from the fence and was waving it while doing a little dance. It took the server a while to notice, but when he did, he rushed over and snatched the flag from my nephew, which upset me. We ignored it. Second issue, he was removing dishes from our table and an ice cream my nephew didn't finish that had melted, spilled from the dish and got on his shoe. He made a big irritated sigh, put his foot on the bench next to where my sister was sitting and was mumbling something while wiping his shoe off. Again, ignored it. We were having a really good time as a family and were just ignoring his attitude. Overall, it was a good family night, the food was good and reasonably priced, the boys had fun, some competitive-friendly family time. This place is the best. Great time, great for kids, and great way to stay busy for a couple hours. Delma, who works there, rocks too.

We arrived 20 minutes early to make sure we had time to get all of our waivers signed. The counter workers were friendly enough. They said come back in 15 minutes and we'll walk you to your court and explain everything since it was our first time there. We stood outside and returned when told. They gave the people a 5 minute notice to end their game. The people did not end on time and the worker did not ensure that they left. I had to go back in so the worker could tell us which court we were on and have the group leave. We lost at least 10 minutes on the front end of our reservation. I asked if we'd get extra time at the end and the worker told us that we probably could, but we didn't. We got our time was ending reminder and the next party was waiting, so I didn't want to mess up their time. We ordered food, 2 chicken sandwiches, fried pickles, and the chorizo and cheese dip. Everything came out lukewarm to cold. Sweet potato fries and pickle chips-cold. Chicken sandwiches-lukewarm. Chorizo and cheese dip-lukewarm and got a thick cold rubbery layer on top. The chicken sandwiches were bland, the pickle chips were heavily breaded, and the rest was ruined by the cold temperatures. Needless to say, we were very disappointed with our experience especially since it was my birthday and we drove almost 15 miles across town go. Next time we'll go to Sunset park and hit a fast food joint afterwards. Maybe they need to add a large visible 1 hour timer for each court so players can start it when they enter and see the end time to keep track. That way the next party doesn't get screwed out of their paid time. read more

There was a work event that I attended at this location. It's nice and new, fun atmosphere. Lots of games besides pickleball, like cornhole and other yard games. There's a dog park as well. Our issue was that the service was mediocre at best. They forgot drink orders multiple times. They didn't have a beer that was ordered either, so that took a while to get a substitute. Even sodas were forgotten. The staff wasn't friendly. We ordered food and it was all ok, but for the cost? I don't know that I'd do dinner/lunch.. the food was basic bar food. A lot of the location is covered, but most of the courts are not indoors. I'll be interested to see how busy the place is once it heats up in town. So-so experience. read more

I love going here! It's super fun, courts are maintained, everything is clean. The food here is surprisingly so bomb--definitely worth saving your appetite before heading here. I recommend the smoked wings, but def get the chicken and waffles. When it's windy outside, it still isn't even that bad. For service, Isaiah was awesome with his quick and kind service! I ordered the hot chicken sandwich. I thought the chicken sandwich would have more sauce on it, there was just a splash of hot sauce on it. I asked a team member for more sauce and all it was just cholula hot sauce in the bottle. Menu mentioned slaw but it was just cut up lettuce no flavor to it. The sandwich lacked flavor and I wish it had more flavor to it. We stood in line for a long time. Staff member on their phone not paying attention to customers in line. We also stood at the bar tops for about 5 minutes trying to order drinks and were not acknowledged by the staff until we spoke up and asked for some help. It was a busy night so I understand, but just have staff be more mindful of addressing customers despite things being hectic.
