Chicken N Pickle hosted a party for my son this past weekend and it was amazing! My wife worked with Laurie to arrange it and she was great. On site, we had a team of employees, led by Josh and Nate, who helped make sure that everything went smoothly. And it did--no detail was overlooked, and the staff worked well with our outside vendors to arrange the space. Overall, it was a great night--all our guests had high praise for the food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. I would strongly encourage anyone looking to host a party--kid or adult--to use this venue. We had the upstairs plus the outdoor courts, and it exceeded our expectations. We started going to this place this year for family bonding, every other week. Loved it up until today. We were so disrespected and discriminated against tonight. This girl server, which I believe is one of the managers, LINA.. was so rude to us! She's the server for the next court. Our server dropped off the waters on our table for our big group, 10 people. A minute later, this girl server came up to our table and said "you guys didn't touch these waters right?" When we said no, she took ALL THE WATER (or most of it), leaving our group with no water and gave it to the court next to us. One of the people in our group brought an outside drink (it was his first time in the establishment), I get it. That was his fault, but she rudely handled the situation, and then started treating all of our family like crap, even though the rest of the family weren't aware of what happened. She treated us soo poorly the rest of the night even though the person who brought an outside drink (which he quickly threw away after he was informed by this rude girl manager server). So disappointing! We do this so we can bond with our family, and to do this to our family so near the holiday? Specially since we're regulars. They don't value their customers! I ordered a chicken taco and it came in a rotisserie styled chicken. It was clearly raw on the inside and it was clearly somewhat uncooked because of the texture. Attended the Adult Pickleball Camp. What a great experience, I highly recommend it for anyone that is looking to improve their game. Honestly I suggest it for anyone just getting into the sport, it's a lot easier to learn correct technique and form instead of having to unlearn bad habits like I picked up. Played pickleball during their pre-opening in the outside covered courts and they were great to play on! The staff was very friendly and check-in was quick. You do need to sign a waiver before you play and they give you a wristband to indicate that you showed them your waiver. There was plenty of parking available. They also have ping pong tables, corn hole, and foosball. The food and service was very good. We enjoyed the quesadilla, pulled pork sandwich and Southwest chicken salad. Next time I will ask that the broccolini come plain as I found the peppers/spices to be overwhelming (that was the table consensus as well). We tried Chicken N Pickle for a different reason than most. We wanted to use the Dog Park in the morning before it got too warm. It is really beautiful and well taken care of. It was great having brunch while our 2 hounds were acting like idiots. The wood chips they use in the park are really great as they dont retain heat and are softer for the dogs than just rock. Ordering food was a little strange, I had a gift card to use, the cashier insisted I use a credit card to open a tab even though I told her I didnt want to run a tab. I ordered breakfast then she asked me if I wanted to close the tab and yes please. Instead of using the gift card I told her about 30 seconds earlier she wanted to run my credit card. After patiently waiting for this place to open for two years, you bet I was going to be there for the grand opening. I had an absolute blast at Chicken N Pickle! From the moment we arrived, our server, Christian, made sure we were well taken care of. He was attentive, friendly, and even introduced us to Rochelle, the events coordinator. Let me just say, Rochelle is a gem! She was so sweet and beyond helpful as I explored the idea of hosting my 40th birthday here. Stephanie helped me understand the process and was always so sweet and helpful. Thank you! The vibe was incredible--I met so many new friends and made connections that I'll cherish. Playing hours of pickleball felt like just 10 minutes because time flies when you're having that much fun! We booked two pickleball courts along with an event room and spent around $500 on food and drinks for our group. This was planned ahead of time and was meant to be a full experience for a larger party, completely from out of town. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told the courts were overbooked. Instead of honoring our reservation as the larger party that paid significantly more, the venue chose to give priority to people who "normally book" those courts. As a result, our group's plans were disrupted despite having paid and reserved in advance. To make up for the inconvenience, we were offered one complimentary shot of alcohol, which honestly felt dismissive given the amount of money spent, the time we coordinated, and the frustration of having our reservation mishandled. Mistakes happen, but how they're handled matters. In this case, the compensation and response did not match the inconvenience or the cost we incurred. We expected better communication, accountability, and a more reasonable solution. If you're booking for a group or event, be cautious and confirm everything multiple times. This experience was disappointing and not what we expected given the price and planning involved. read more

I signed my 9 year old up for private lessons with Selina in January. We invited 2 of her buddies to join the lessons to keep them engaged and having fun together. The two girls had no experience with a racket sport. My kiddo had previously taken tennis lessons. We are 4 months in and the girls are having a blast! They have all shown improvement and are just as engaged in learning as they were on day one. Selina is fun, patient and encouraging while being professional. I appreciate that she starts with a quick warm-up, does drills and has the girls playing as if it were a real game to teach them how to keep score. Chicken and Pickle is a great venue but Selina is the icing on the cake! I think everyone, young and old can benefit from lessons, whether it's to learn, brush up on your skills, hone in on your form or correct bad habits you never knew you had! My child is learning a life skill that she can take with her throughout life. I won't have to worry about her making friends if she moves anywhere in the world [at any age] because there's a Pickle League she can join to have an immediate connection! If I could rate this place zero stars I would! My review is for the service not for the courts. It was our first time here and I went with my boyfriend and his family. The waitress we had SUCKED and she was RUDE AS HELL! We were super nice to her and she looked like we were inconveniencing her every time she brought us a drink!!! My family and I always pass by this establishment going down St Rose and we've been wanting to come here. We finally did. Not what I expected. But in a good way. When I say Chicken N Pickle, I thought literally chicken and pickles (food). But they have full on pickle ball courts and a large open area with games and lounge chairs. We had our company team building event at this place and I'm sure glad we did. Everyone had a great time and had a chance to show their competitive side. Here's why I gave them a 5-star review: Place was clean and lots of space. They not only have courts, but they also have other games you can play outside of the building. The buffet that was set up for our team was delicious. The only thing that I didn't find appetizing was the spinach salad. It didn't have enough cheese or cranberries. From the Caprese skewers, street corn, Mac n cheese, brisket and ribs, everything was delightful. You also have to try their Brownie with vanilla ice cream for dessert. It's to die for!! Bryan was great. Very friendly and very helpful. The wait staff constantly took empty dishes and cups from the tables so we have room for other things. Second time visiting. Knocking it down to four stars because we had a great time, but our server this time was a rude. He looked upset and he gave me the feeling that we were bothering him. The first time we were there, the waiter told us to raise the orange flag if we needed anything. My 5 year old nephew grabbed the flag from the fence and was waving it while doing a little dance. It took the server a while to notice, but when he did, he rushed over and snatched the flag from my nephew, which upset me. We ignored it. Second issue, he was removing dishes from our table and an ice cream my nephew didn't finish that had melted, spilled from the dish and got on his shoe. He made a big irritated sigh, put his foot on the bench next to where my sister was sitting and was mumbling something while wiping his shoe off. Again, ignored it. We were having a really good time as a family and were just ignoring his attitude. Overall, it was a good family night, the food was good and reasonably priced, the boys had fun, some competitive-friendly family time. We arrived 20 minutes early to make sure we had time to get all of our waivers signed. The counter workers were friendly enough. They said come back in 15 minutes and we'll walk you to your court and explain everything since it was our first time there. We stood outside and returned when told. They gave the people a 5 minute notice to end their game. The people did not end on time and the worker did not ensure that they left. I had to go back in so the worker could tell us which court we were on and have the group leave. We lost at least 10 minutes on the front end of our reservation. I asked if we'd get extra time at the end and the worker told us that we probably could, but we didn't. We got our time was ending reminder and the next party was waiting, so I didn't want to mess up their time. We ordered food, 2 chicken sandwiches, fried pickles, and the chorizo and cheese dip. Everything came out lukewarm to cold. Sweet potato fries and pickle chips-cold. Chicken sandwiches-lukewarm. Chorizo and cheese dip-lukewarm and got a thick cold rubbery layer on top. The chicken sandwiches were bland, the pickle chips were heavily breaded, and the rest was ruined by the cold temperatures. Needless to say, we were very disappointed with our experience especially since it was my birthday and we drove almost 15 miles across town go. Next time we'll go to Sunset park and hit a fast food joint afterwards. Maybe they need to add a large visible 1 hour timer for each court so players can start it when they enter and see the end time to keep track. That way the next party doesn't get screwed out of their paid time. read more

There was a work event that I attended at this location. It's nice and new, fun atmosphere. Lots of games besides pickleball, like cornhole and other yard games. There's a dog park as well. Our issue was that the service was mediocre at best. They forgot drink orders multiple times. They didn't have a beer that was ordered either, so that took a while to get a substitute. Even sodas were forgotten. The staff wasn't friendly. We ordered food and it was all ok, but for the cost? I don't know that I'd do dinner/lunch.. the food was basic bar food. A lot of the location is covered, but most of the courts are not indoors. I'll be interested to see how busy the place is once it heats up in town. So-so experience. read more
