What a great idea. Just chicken salad of all varieties. I enjoyed a chicken salad with grapes and apples on a croissant. Delicious! I would have given it 5 stars where it not for an smell which I found peculiar. I cant say it was necessarily bad but rather noticeable as I walked in the door. Perhaps it was a particular spice or cooking method that produced the smell and perhaps my nose is just very sensitive. This aside, a great place to eat lunch. read more

Came in for take-out on a Saturday afternoon. They have an assortment of different chicken salad options and I was being indecisive. Not only did they thoroughly explain some of the different options to me but they gave us a couple samples to help decide. I went there for lunch yesterday, to see what's people is rant and raving about this new restaurant here in Saint Augustine area, . I ordered the Lemon and basil chicken salad which was very (small portion ) croissant sandwich the fruit salad and a drink. It was very bland and the bread taste just like a regular bread with a shape of croissant. I was expecting it taste a bit buttery like a regular croissant but it wasn't. The food is really good for a lunch-in or a to-go order, but the customer service needs some work. When visiting the store we were treated as if a burden to there 4 person staff. When asking about a certain product they responded with "we only have 2 people, sorry about it." Look we get that you all are understaffed, but when open there should be enough food prepared to sell to your customers (especially when you commented about knowing the product was out the night before). read more

Chicken Salad Chick is an awesome find! We visit Destin each October from Colorado and read about the upcoming opening of CSC last year. So, we had many months to wait to give this new place a try. We arrived in Destin this afternoon and had dinner at CSC this evening. First, the restaurant is clean, bright and inviting. As we began reviewing the nice variety of chicken salad "flavors", we were offered samples to try. Every one we sampled was excellent but, of course, my wife and I found our favorites. We both had ours made on a croissant and the guy at the counter suggested the broccoli salad as my side dish. It too, was fantastic. There are varieties we didn't try but will before we head home. We truly enjoyed our experience here and are already planning our next visit. Give this place a try - you won't be sorry. read more

I love this chicken salad. Jalapeno holly is my favorite, although the customer service isn't great. Today I stopped by for a late lunch and Alexis was the cashier. She was impatient as my mother and I looked over the menu to see what we wanted today. When she took our order I noticed that her pants were unbuttoned and unzipped. I felt like that is against health code and she may want to get pants that fit before coming to work. While we sat in the dining room and ate I could hear her complaining about the customers today, how rude they are, how slow it has been all day and how bored she is. Unfortunately, I will not be back to sit in the dining room to enjoy my chicken salad. I am also questioning coming back at all due to fear of public hair in my food because of her unbuttoned and unzipped pants. read more

Cute place very relaxing. Serve yourself to order. Had soup salad. Tasty however chicken is ground up. I like chunks of chicken. I ask about soup she did not say they had a variety. Chicken Salad Chick is one of our favorites back home, so happy to see a location at the beach! The building is open and airy and the food tastes just like home. The service was fast and quick (we got it to go). I was super excited for the opening of this establishment but after trying it I'm a little disappointed. As the first reviewer stated, yes, it is a great concept. What chicken salad lover wouldn't marvel at 15 different chicken salad choices? The restaurant is decorated very nicely, the employees are very friendly. I decided to order their trio entrée, which includes your choice of three different chicken salads. I got the "offensive chick," which is the salad billed as the one for onion lovers,"fruity Fran," which contains Fuji apples and seedless grapes, and the "Kickin' Kay Lynne," which contains buffalo sauce, bacon, ranch, shredded cheddar cheese, and jalapenos. The offensive chick and fruity Fran were super salty to my tastebuds! Now I should qualify that statement by saying that I am not a person who typically adds salt to food and I typically do not like a lot of salt. So this is a turnoff for me. Also, in my fruity Fran I spied a total of two seedless grapes and a small Fuji apple piece. Before trying this, I pictured a chicken salad with lots of grape and apple pieces contained throughout, the way I would make it at home. With that said, I like the texture of the salads and the amount of mayonnaise used was just right. All of the salads had a great balance in that regard. I will more than likely go back and try other items on the menu. I'm just really hoping that they are all not as salty as two of the varieties I had. read more

I stopped by yesterday to pick up some chicken salad to take to the beach. After the cashier had run my card, I realized I had forgotten to ask for the military discount. I apologized and asked her to charge back and rerun with the discount. She said they couldn't charge back for "something like that". I thought my head was going to explode! I told her she would be doing the charge back and made her get the manager out to do it. It doesn't matter if the food offering was good, I will never support an establishment that expresses such an ungrateful attitude for the sacrifice of military service. We went by for the first time and bought some Fancy Nancy chicken salad. It was definitely the best chicken salad I have ever eaten. It had the perfect amount of mayonnaise and the chicken was shredded fine. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. They had many combinations of chicken salad to choose from. Great tasting chicken salad. Lots of different varieties. My famikiy loves the wheat crackers. Great service. My favorit3s are tge original and nutty nana. The last time i was there, they saud they no longer carry the nutty nana. My famikiy's favorite is the cranberry kelly. It didn't matter if I went morning, noon, or early evening...they are always OUT. Not worth wasting the effort or time to go. The food was pretty good, also a great concept. The restaurant it's self is pretty cute. But as for the service I could say different. We didn't encounter many people there but the lady at the cashier named Kayla was as rude as can be. The whole time she was looking at me like I was stupid, and I was never greeted with a smile from her. Then when she told me the total I took out my money right away holding it out for her to take but she was just standing there looking the other way listening to her coworkers talk. I love Chicken Salad Chick normally and the food is wonderful! But the service I experienced was sub par, and I did not feel any "southern hospitality" that the company claims to have. Some unfriendly staff was present. Being an Auburn alum, I was super excited to have a Chicken Salad Chick in Destin now, but I am not sure I will come back to this location. I saw the commercial on TV and then happened to pass it while driving. My husband and I like chicken salad and I thought it would be good to have to snack on in our room.
