So yummy! I was finally craving chicken salad enough to try this place out and was not disappointed. I got the Cranberry Kelli on a sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese and a side of the grape salad. All of it was delicious! The sandwich was balanced, and I liked that the white bread was dense enough that it didn't fall apart. I ordered to go, but the interior was homey and colorful. I'm not a big mayo eater so that will bias my review :-). If you love mayo, you might have a 5 star experience. So that is my -1 star, the taste of mayo was too strong. If you've had the chicken salad from Market Street, you'll notice the difference- I can barely taste the mayo there. The other thing I deducted points for, I had no celery in my sandwich:-(. At a glance I thought the broccoli salad was going to be a glob but wait a minute I believe it was the star show stopper of the meal! Do not sleep on the buffalo chicken salad I repeat!! It has just enough spice so creamy mmm I wish they were open on Sundays. They have a nice patio in the back overlooking a little pond. Be patient if you go here during peak lunch hours. The Kickin' Kay Lynne could use some more kick to it. The Pasta Salad was bland. The Chicken Tortilla Soup barely had any chicken in it. The Frosted Cookie was painstakingly sweet. The best part about the food was the succulent pickle spear. I don't think I will go back for just the pickle. Yesterday I had the pleasure of going to Chicken Salad Chick on their grand opening day and getting takeout. We had some fresh baked bread at home and decided to try a few of their items as sandwiches. Atmosphere is very welcoming and exciting. I've never been to one of these before and wasn't sure what to expect. But upon entering you go straight to the back of the restaurant where you'll either grab some ready to go items or place an order with a cashier for dine in/takeout. I went to the cooler and grabbed one each of the large containers of Classic Carol, Fancy Nancy, and plain Pimento cheese. Also, their desserts looked pretty good and decided to pick up a few of them to try out....for science. I got a buttercream frosted cookie, a chocolate chip crispy treat, and a slice of key lime pie. Upon packing up my salads, the folks there gave me the perfect amount of crackers to accompany them. My SO is one to prefer the basics, and he had the Classic Carol. This has a very slight touch of celery and a wonderful flavor. He VERY much liked it and said it was a 5/5. I ate the Fancy Nancy with pecans, apples, and seedless grapes. The flavor was outstanding and refreshing. Just the perfect mixture of textures between all of the ingredients. I'm not normally a fruit in my chicken salad person, but I'm excited we're eating this again tonight. 5/5 Before we get to the desserts, we tasted the pimento cheese. This one we weren't 100% on. I really liked the flavor but found the mixture to be quite dry. For the pate of the south, I did not find it to be especially creamy. My SO thought it was too Pimento-y, if that's even a word. This is something we'd most likely skip in the future. 3/5 Now to the desserts. My SO, the official taste tester of key lime pie who is VERY critical, absolutely loved their key lime. He said it had the perfect texture and lime flavor. He would gladly eat this again. We both enjoyed the buttercream frosted cookie. For a cookie that comes pre-packed, it tasted amazingly fresh. As for the chocolate chip crispy treat, perfect pull and softness to the treat but admittedly the chocolate chips somewhat ruined the pillowy experience. While delicious and would absolutely order again if it were plain, I probably wouldn't get this again. Desserts as a whole 4/5 Overall, takeout was a hit. We are super excited to have them in the neighborhood and cannot wait to try more of their food options. So many versions of their chicken salad look delicious and wished there was a big sampler to try a bit of them all. Guess we'll have to keep coming back! read more

There are so many offerings to choose from. Large indoor seating area cute picnic vibe and they have a patio out back. I ordered the Fancy Nancy Chicken Salad BLT with baked potato soup. The choice of bread for the sandwich is croissant, white or wheatberry. It was so delicious but a little too much bread. I could have used a little more chicken salad on the sandwich, but would probably just skip the bread next time, you don't want to overshadow the main event. The signature sandwich comes with a pickle, a small cookie and club crackers for the soup. It was all delicious, the chicken salad is not too creamy and the chicken is perfectly shredded no big chunks. My partner ordered the trio, thats the way to go, try a few different flavors. The trio had generous scoops of the Olivias old south and Jalapeno Holly and a side of fruit. These flavors were equally as delicious and the fruit cup was so fresh. We must make it back to Frisco to try more of the variations. The printed menu prices are no longer valid, they have increased by $0.50 compared to the menu board and what we were charged. There is a case right at the register for grab and go items. The fountain has coke products including coke zero. They also have two flavors of lemonade, sweet, unsweet and watermelon tea. read more

I'm a dad that likes chicken salad. My wife went here a few weeks ago and brought me there today. Ok, they have a lot of types of Chicken Salad. I tried the BLT with Olivia's Old Fashioned. The CS was good, but I was bummed that the Bacon was just cold refrigerated bacon. For a place that is all about freshness and quantity ingredients the bacon was a big miss. The rest of the sandwich was good but I probably would order a standard chicken salad on toasted white bread. Fancy Nancy CS was better. Pasta salad was good, but small. I was really surprised about the Pina Colada Pie. We ordered one after our meal. Now that was really good a the number one reason for me to come back. Service was excellent. Ambiance was fine and geared towards moms and grandmothers. This is a place my mom would love to go to. Glad there is a new option for sandwich lovers. read more

This place is so cute! It reminded me of a ladies' lunch spot with all the cute colors and decor. The staff were very friendly and explained the whole concept for my mom and I as first-timers. CSC is the kind of restaurant I never expected to find myself in, as I'm not particularly wild about chicken salad. I'm very happy that on a day I wasn't particularly hungry that I let my wife drag me to CSC, because it was a fantastic experience. I had poblano soup and poblano mac & cheese, and both were excellent! I appreciated that the staff walked through the questions I had about the items I was considering, and even made suggestions for next time I was in. When I got to the drink station I was pleasantly surprised to see watermelon sweet tea, which was also superb! The decor in the restaurant was friendly and inviting. I felt so comfortable and really just enjoyed the ambiance of the dining room. The restaurant was clean and well run and the staff was exceptional. A visit to the men's restroom was also pleasant as not only was it clean and well maintained, the signs on the wall playfully leaned into the idea that coming to CSC was your wife/gf's idea. Brilliant! For whatever reason it never occurred to me that CSC might have "jazzed up" versions of chicken salad that isn't just the "plain" versions I've had at picnics and didn't care for. I'll be returning to CSC for more soup and sides and I'm looking forward to trying some of their chicken salad, now that I've seen what kinds of delicious looking fare they're serving at CSC! read more
