My daughter and I have stopped into Chicken Salad Chick twice after having doctor's appointments at Delnor. The first time we went, we grabbed a couple containers of chicken salad and a container of grape salad to bring home. We asked a lot of questions to the employee helping us and she was wonderful giving us information about our choices. We had the Dixie Chick (we picked that as our favorite) and the Classic Carol. We LOVED the Dixie Chick. We also loved the grape salad. The second time we went, we decided to eat in. We ordered a croissant with the Dixie Chick and a bowl of creamy chicken and rice soup. Everything was very good. We jokingly argued about who would get to eat the cookie when an employee stopped by our table and brought us an extra one. Awwww. This place was so good! Honestly I didn't even know this place existed until it has been viral on social. And then all I have been getting on my for you is CSC! And everything looks so good! So I found out there was one local and got so excited! So we went on our lunch break and tried a two scoop! Since I have such a sweet tooth I got a scoop of fancy Nancy and cranberry Kelli! During my visit (for dinner on a weeknight) it was not crowded and seemed like they were doing about 50/50 dine-in and takeout. I had no delay in ordering and went with a 2 scoop and 2 sides meal. The selection of salads makes it very difficult to choose but I went with the Lemon Basil and the Jalapeño Holly. For sides I had the Broccoli Salad and the Jalapeño Pimento cheese (plus a bag of chips). It was A LOT of food but it was all incredibly delicious! Both the Jalapeño Holly and the Jalapeño Pimento cheese were SPICY (which was exactly what I was looking for). And don't let me forget about the lemonade they have... DELICIOUS. The part that made it special was the staff. Particularly the cashier / do everything woman named Mary Kate. This location just popped up and i'm so happy there's finally a location around here. After watching videos for years wanting to try it, I finally got to & it truly did not disappoint!! The bacon cheddar melt with sassy scotty chicken salad was to die for & the loaded baked potato soup had actual potato chunks and was so rich and flavorful. Though I'm not a big fan of most types of chicken, I do love chicken salad and was thrilled when this place opened last year. I gave it a few months to see if there was something I could pick apart, but nary a menu item has been disappointing, from the many varieties of chicken salad to the pimento cheese, soup or broccoli salad. All are fresh, tasty and seasoned to perfection. Even the drive-through presentation is lovely - a perfectly boxed selection of your scoops with crackers, pickle spear and mini dessert cookie. It's also a great value, especially if you become a member of their points club. (I had only made two visits when I was rewarded with a full, free birthday meal!) And in an era of higher prices with less quality, it's refreshing to to see this kind of attention to ingredients, service and detail. I was so excited for this to open! Stopped by on my way home from work the day after they opened. I bought 3 flavors of chicken salad from the To Go case and got a sandwich meal with 2 sides. The chicken salad is DELICIOUS. We also loved the Mac n cheese, the broccoli salad, and the sugar cookie that comes with the meal. The red velvet cake looked amazing, so I bought a piece. Sadly, it was dry, definitely not homemade, and tasted like sand. I'll steer clear of that next time. Service was great too. They had some young people at the counter all very eager to help. Loved this place and have been back twice already. The case in front is convenient and that's what I pick from. There hasn't been a salad I haven't liked. They are all really good. The pimento spread is wonderful and this is an old school spread you don't see any where so this was an exciting find. Very tasty and actually great on a burger. Not a good value for the price point. The service is beyond subpar. The employees are like robots. No smiles, no thank you, almost as if you're bothering them. I'd heard about chicken salad chick a few weeks ago because the guys that were doing the construction were coming into Ace Hardware to get things for it. I and found out that they were opening on November 18th. Went there after work. . Got two different salads. The classic. Carol and the cranberry Kelly plus the side of macaroni and cheese and the broccoli salad. Brought them home for dinner. They were wonderful. The broccoli salad is absolutely delicious. I've got the dessert too. The chocolate crispy bar. I have not tried that yet. But the whole restaurant was very inviting, very clean. When I pulled up to the drive through I was the only car and I was confused on where to enter, the way it's set up is kind of backwards. Again being the only car in the drive through I was surprised at how long it took for my food to be ready. I was excited to try Chicken Salad Chick and have more food options in the area, I didn't think you could mess up a sandwich but I was wrong. I ordered a BLT on a Croissant with pasta salad, I wish there was even one positive thing I could say but I was immediately shocked at how small the the sandwich was for almost $20 I was expecting more, the croissant and the bacon were super dry and the pasta salad had no flavor. If I could give zero stars, I would. This review is strictly for customer service. Always amazes me that someone would open a new establishment and not kill people with kindness and hospitality. We walked and no one was there. One older employee was on the phone and the younger girl stood there like she didn't know what to do. Long story short the lady on the phone was too busy to help. She had the girl take our order. I am glad that they employee the special abled, but it's not such a great idea when it comes to order taking. She could not get our order right. AT ALL. Now I sound like a terrible person making fun of the specially abled but I have to tell you now that she wasn't truly specially abled as far as I could tell. Referring this person is actually insulting to disabled people. She was just stupid and rude. I have been to the Chicken salad Chick in Batavia and they employees are super! This is a relatively expensive sandwich place of Southern origin, I believe. Well stay away from this location. We walked out without completing our order If no one in this place really, truly wanted to help us in the front, I cannot imagine how the food prep would be.
