Wanted to try something new and light for lunch, so we decided to check out this place after browsing through yelp. Not at all what we expected. The staff was patient and super friendly. Everything tasted super fresh, from the iced tea and lemons to the cold crispy pickle spears. The sandwich was obviously the main event. We got the sassy scotty and the kickin kay lynne on toasted wheat bread. Both were fantastic! Btwn the two the kickin kay lynne was the best. Had just enough spice to not overpower the flavor. I have wanted to try this place since it opened and finally had the opportunity. I really liked the chicken salad. I ordered multiple ones and tried it over a 2 day span at home to see which ones I liked. I tried the Fancy Nancy on white bread (not toasted - as I don't like it being warmed). It had a good flavor. I would have liked a few more pecans. I didn't like the crust of the bread. It is just my preference as I don't like flour dusted on my crust... again that is just me so I didn't take points off. The bread itself tasted good. I also had a Kickin Kay Lynne on a croissant. I really liked the kick and the added ingredients to the salad which I had never had before. Croissant was soft and fresh. I had scoops of the Jalapeño Holly. It came with crackers. I liked the kick it had. I probably wouldn't try it again but was glad I did as I preferred the others more. I also had a scoop of Buffalo Barclay also with crackers. It also had a great texture and kick. For sides I had the pasta salad which was good. I don't like olives but was lucky there was not many in my scoop. I also had the Mac and cheese. I am picky about my Mac and cheese. It tasted good but I prefer my own. I've been here several times. I've told people about it. I've searched for other locations. My last trip, Monday night was not a good time. There was a list of probably 6 items, may be more that they were out of - at 6:00 p.m. Therefore I could only deduce that a. They don't make anything fresh. B. Their shipment didn't come in. Or c. They are poorly managed. Tables were dirty. Floors were dirty. They came to the table behind me and told them they didn't actually have what he ordered. (she didn't check the list) Then someone else came back and said they did have it. That was short lived, as someone came back and said no again, and asked about an alternative. Everything he chose they were out of. When they finally brought his order, they said here's your bla bla bla - which is what they were out of. So they were reading off of the ticket, or can't tell what is what from looking at it. Meanwhile more people sit down and clean off their own tables, which adds to the already dirty floor. My personal experience - I also could not get my first two choices. I finally settled on 2 scoops that they did have, and as soup. I don't know what the safe holding temp is for soup, but mine was not close. Usually someone comes to check on you at least twice. I was not spoken to at all. It appeared they forgot my crackers, so I waited, and waited. Finally went to the counter, and everyone was facing the other way. Finally a girl from the drive thru window saw me and came running over. Can I get you something? Yes, I didn't get any crackers with my meal. Oh, sorry.........we are out of crackers. Really? Could you have mentioned that when you brought my food? Do you realize that there is a Tom Thumb less than 100 yards away? Finally tried this cute place! My husband and I stopped in today, and were helped by Monica. We didn't know what to order as we told her it was our first time in.. She explained the menu options and even gave us a few tastes of the different chicken salads they have. All were yummy! Great ambience ! Very cute and neat and nice! Didn't try the chicken salad, but seemed kind of expensive: 10.99 for a large side of chicken salad. I had them cater a baby shower for me this past Saturday. The mini chicken salad croissants were fabulous. The fruit tray was fair, did not have a variety of fruit, basically grapes & strawberry's, I expected melon, pineapple etc. but got nothing. The fruit dip with it was very good. The cheese balls were exceptional but the display trays were extremely poor. All they had were Ritz crackers (many broken) on the cheese ball trays. I could have saved money and just got the cheese balls. I could have purchased a much better assortment of crackers from Tom Thumb & saved money. This place used to be great. I come here literally all the time because I live so close and have a giving card. (It's a card you get around Christmas for donating $5 and you get $60+ in rewards the following year.) I'm a big fan of this place but this particular location has since gone downhill. I'm not sure when it happened...it just slowly became how it is now and it gets worse and worse as time goes on. Customer service isn't great as it used to be. Not only that, they've gotten soo extremely and laughably stingy with their crackers. I usually stop by for their quick chicks (to-go tubs) and I always ask for extra crackers which people there used to throw FISTFULS into the bag and I'm like "yaaaas!!!" but now it's ALWAYS just 4 packets of crackers (which is just 8 crackers total and definitely not enough if you get their largest quick chick). Doesn't matter if I ask for more, because they will literally stare me down and throw one more packet at a time until I give up and get too embarrassed to ask for more. So, I've simply stopped asking. I miss how it used to be... I only keep going just to redeem my giving card rewards at this point. read more

My second bad review for this relatively new place. I do like their salads, but will probably think twice before going back. I'll probably stop in at Market Street instead. Today I went through the drive through and ordered a pound of chicken salad and a large broccoli salad ...'a little extra dressing with that broccoli salad, please.' I waited in line, pulled to the window and paid my ticket. The nice young lady handed me my bag and I thought I'd check in on that extra dressing. The impression was that she had forgotten it and she left the window. Another lady appeared at the window to tell me that there was no dressing to give me - they just 'didn't do that'. That's funny - I ordered, they didn't mention that. I paid for my food and they didn't mention that. I paid $9 for a bowl of broccoli salad like an idiot and I didn't get to make the choice. Yes, I told the lady on the window all of the above. She was very apologetic, and yet there was not even a mention of refunding my stupid $9 (how tired so you have to be to pay $9 for a bowl of broccoli!). Communicate, people. I was just in the drive thru. I ordered a simple meal ( sandwich and a side). There was one car in front of me. The service is super slow. I was stuck in the drive thru lane for more than 15 min. I called the store from the drive thru. I let them know I've been waiting over 15 min with one car in front of me. The manager states, "we are doing the best we can." How about using some common sense and have the person in front of me (who was ordering for 10 people) pull to the side?!? They need better management skills. If the food is as good as the service... they won't be in business very long. read more

Good concept but poor execution. While the food was tasty, the customer service at this location was lacking. One out of three employees I spoke to was friendly while one was indifferent and the other was rude (sighs & eye rolling as I asked questions about the menu). My biggest problem was how dirty the restaurant was. It was mid-afternoon on a Saturday, so it's understandable that there may have been a crowd during lunch but was able to walk up to the counter with no wait. That means someone should have been able to clean tables and sweep after the lunch rush. The first table I went to was covered in crumbs. The floor was littered with trash not in just one area, but by the counter, by our table and by the soda machine. I keep returning because I love their chicken salad...the only problem is that every time I go to the drive-through like today I ordered a half a chicken salad sandwich and soup the toaster was broken I said that was fine got home and there is no lettuce tomato on the sandwich and the tiny little soup container is only filled half full I should've learned my lesson by now...every time I order soup there its maybe 4 ounces that is including the glob of cheese they put in there I'm really starting to get disappointed and I see why the star ratings are getting lower and lower they need to step up their game...No man in the family will go there because of the soup situation LOL crazy but true I will finish my gift card up but I will only go to get chicken salad to go from now on read more

Extremely disappointed in the customer service. My daughter placed a $52 order and realized it was to the wrong location. (Good learning lesson for her to double check that info) but the fact the restaurant was unable to transfer our order or cancel the order is unacceptable, especially knowing we live 2 hours away and no way to pick up the order.
