Went to Chicken Salad Chick for the first time today and we were pleasantly surprised! The chicken salad was great, beside the buffalo which was too spicy for us. Our order was wrong my husband received some chicken salad with pineapple in it but he still enjoyed it! I can't speak for the service as we just picked it up but the food and size for the price was good!

The turkey club was good. The macaroni and cheese, however, tasted like a wet dog. It has a poor texture and a weird aftertaste. Extra emphasis on the fact that it tasted like a wet dog.

Surprised by this cute cookie in my order.

So it's really more of a 3.5 for me but I didn't want to penalize the place for my personal preferences to some extent. I tried the Olivia's old south chicken salad on a croissant BLT style. Pros: they give you a decent portion, the bread options are good and you can even get it with no bread and just crackers which is a nice option. The chicken salad itself was ok, like it's seasoned which is more than a lot of places even bother with in general and it seemed very fresh. Cons: too much mayo, but I'll add I'm not a major fan of mayo to begin with and I kind of prefer my stuff to be less mayonnaise-y and I got baked chips but would've rather liked the option to get regular chips & pick the flavor. BBQ chips would've gone better. I'd try it again if the mood struck.

This review has NOTHING to do with Covid impact. 3 staff members were standing around the front station doing NOTHING. Ordered BLT spicy pimento for $8.99. Sand which was dropped off at the table in dining room with my company (2 orders). My sandwich was missing the bacon. The child at the register just says oh guess they forgot it. Would you like me to bring you a piece of bacon? 1 piece dude? No thanks. Please let your manager know the orders are incorrect. As I'm getting up they finally bring my pumpkin cheesecake. Thanks for a horrible experience!

used to love this place but now almost everytime i come, the location is closed, even though it says it's open on the app, and on maps. Super misleading, and they definitely need to fix that asap!

save your money and go elsewhere or make your own. I paid almost 40 for 3 sandwiches that all ended up like this. the staff is incredibly rude including the shiftlead who was just soo proud to be a shiftlead but was just standing around doing nothing. maybe that was why I waited so long for my order that I'd placed ahead. even though I did arrive before the time it was supposed to be ready there is no reason for it to still not even be started by the time it should be done by. especially when they'd known I was there and waiting. the kid making our sandwiches kept looking up and making faces as he made them which was great customer service. honestly, just throw away the whole night team

Pretty decent chicken salad, but nothing remarkable. The bread was fresh, but didn't add anything extra to the sandwich.

There were ample shrimps in the dish and the shrimps were seasoned well and tasty! Both the shrimps and the grits were exceptional quality. The grits were very creamy and again, seasoned well! The lemon was grilled which is a lovely touch and the scallions/sliced onions offered a touch of freshness and flavor. There was an abundance of grease in the dish which was the only evidence of any chorizo sausage. In accustomed to having andouille sausage in shrimp and grits and usually they are medallions, sliced like coins. Sometimes the sausage is diced and it's always seared. The sausage was absent. Day one I ate the shrimp and day two I cooked some andouille sausage we had, removed the grease from my leftovers, and had the grits with our andouille medallions. The grits were cheesy and creamy and really good and they did taste great with the addition of our sausage. I'm sure Tupelo Honey would have corrected the missing sausage had I been present at lunch. I was pleased with the quality of the ingredients, just disappointed the sausage was missing.

Service was a bit slow getting started and remained somewhat slow throughout our visit. For starters, we ordered the fried green tomatoes and fried pickles. The fried green tomatoes were a bit firm and difficult to cut, but the fried pickles were enjoyable. For our entrees, we ordered the Chicken & Waffles, Peppercorn Meatloaf, and Sweet & Spicy Fried Chicken. We also ordered a side of sweet potato pancakes. The Peppercorn Meatloaf had quite a bit of spice, even for a spicy food lover like me! The chicken tenders served with the waffles had some spice to them as well. They tasted fine to me, but they were a little too spicy for my friend who ordered them. The Sweet & Spicy Fried Chicken was definitely our fave, 10/10. The crispy Brussels sprouts were a bit dry and underwhelming. I think they would have been much better with some type of glaze or sauce. We waited quite a while for our bill at the end of the meal. The slow service was the main drawback and reason for my rating. Our server was pleasant, but he seemed a little overwhelmed.

Our food was great as well. Zero complaints on what we ate that day. Orange juice was also very good. Most of the wait staff was wearing very tattered clothing and the worst offender was the bus boy. Although he was working his tail off, he looked like he hadn't showed in several days and hadn't washed his clothes in a week. His bus tub was disgusting. As he was cleaning the table beside us, he put the tub in the table top and as I turned my head to look over I lost my appetite seeing the condition of the tub. To know that he put it on top of the table made me even more disgusted. Not only was he bussing tables but he was also taking plates of food to tables. I, personally, would not have accepted food from him because it's very unlikely he washed his hands after cleaning tables off. Our waiter was nice but he looked very sloppy. I realize I'm not at a white table cloth restaurant but at least make sure the serve staff looks presentable. We won't be back.

The star of the meal was the fried green tomatoes. They were thick, juicy, perfectly fried, and honestly didn't need any dipping sauce or condiment at all. They're some of the best I've had. Minnie and I both ordered the whole catfish with mashed potatoes and fried green tomatoes. We absolutely demolished our plates. The catfish was delicious, and the mashed potatoes tasted genuinely homemade. The brown gravy was rich and flavorful and paired perfectly with them. My mom ordered the 4-vegetable plate with fried green tomatoes, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, and fried okra. She loved everything on her plate. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the restaurant was busy the entire time we were there. There was a steady stream of both dine-in customers and takeout orders, which tells you a lot about the place's reputation. My only complaint is the wait time. Food takes a while to come out, especially if you're ordering fried items, but they do warn you ahead of time. The quality makes it clear they're cooking to order, so if you decide to visit, just be prepared to be patient. If someone asked me where to take an out-of-town guest for authentic Southern cooking, G's Country Kitchen would be at the top of my list. The food is homemade, comforting, and exactly what people imagine when they think of classic Southern cuisine. Overall, the food was fantastic, the service was welcoming, and it's easy to see why G's Country Kitchen is a go-to spot for homestyle country cooking. We'll definitely be back.

This was Southern hospitality at its finest, wrapped in incredible food and genuine warmth from the moment our Forest Service and Alabama A&M team walked through the door. The owner and staff were extremely kind, welcoming, and hospitable to our group, treating us less like customers and more like honored guests. The owner personally sat with our team, walking us through the menu item by item, sharing stories, and offering recommendations on his favorite dishes. That personal touch set the tone for the whole lunch and made the meal feel both special and deeply personal. The food itself was soul-satisfying in every way. The fried chicken was perfectly seasoned with a crispy exterior and juicy interior, the kind of dish that makes you pause after the first bite. The catfish was especially delicious as well, tender, flavorful, and cooked just right, embodying everything you hope for in classic country cooking. And the banana pudding was a standout, instantly transporting me to memories of dining in Savannah, with that rich, comforting, homemade taste you feel in your soul. From start to finish, everything about our visit to G's Country Kitchen was outstanding...the hospitality, the conversation, the food, and the feeling of being truly cared for. Many thanks to the owner and the entire staff for a great experience and a lunch that our Forest Service and Alabama A&M team will not soon forget.
