    Drive thru

I have been so pumped to try out this place since it opened but the line is always bananas (a good sign, right?). I finally came out the other night and was instantly smitten with the clean and inviting interior with simple farmhouse-esque decor. There is signage explaining their story and how the salads were named, well-stocked drink and chip areas, bright and comfy seating, and a cooler with cartons of chicken salad and salads to go. The staff was friendly (and masked) and helpful when I asked questions and for recommendations. I heard them frequently apologizing to drive-thru patrons, so you may have better luck with the quick service inside. After asking how the menu works (intimidating at first), I ordered: Cranberry Kelli (slivered almonds and dried cranberries in chicken salad) on a croissant with lettuce and tomato, the loaded potato soup, and a side of mac and cheese. I only waited about 5 minutes and my to-go order was wrapped up and ready to rock. I get home, pull it out of the bag, and see what my beloved mac and cheese was nowhere to be seen and I was charged for it. Doh. The croissant was huge, soft, buttery, and the perfect vehicle for the well-seasoned chicken salad. The salad had the perfect amount of mayo, almonds, and cranberries...just enough to liven it up and add some pizazz (*insert jazz hands here*). The soup was warm and definitely not false advertising with the "loaded" name. It even came with several packs of crackers, which was a nice touch...even if wheat crackers are an odd texture in soup (IMO). There were a few unexpected additions, such as a pickle spear(yum. Tasted like Claussen) and a prepackaged, mini sugar cookie with buttercream (meh. I took one bite and handed to my husband. He took one and then threw it away). Overall, I am really excited to try this place again, but will double-check my order before I leave. Forgetting a girl's mac and cheese is a pretty serious offense. ;-) Willing to overlook it to support an awesome local business!

Our first time at a Chicken Salad Chick. I have seen them around but never stopped because I was afraid they put onions on everything. I'm so happy we stopped today. Fancy Nancy - Fuji apples, pecans & grapes with Broccoli Cheddar soup for mom. Fruity Fran - Fuji apples, grapes & pineapple with broccoli salad for me. Very Very Delicious. Will be coming back for sure. At this location everyone was so friendly. So helpful with helping us. They even let you sample first.

I have been going to this restaurant for about a year and a half now, and it has personally become…read moreone of my Top 3 favorite restaurants of all time. This is the place that officially made me a fried chicken fan -- and no fried chicken has ever come close to Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken! Address: 126 Lovell Rd, Farragut, TN 37934 Food: 6/5 My go-to meal is the 3-piece Chicken Tenders with French Fries and Baked Beans, with an added Chicken Breast. Gus's chicken is the best fried chicken I have ever had. It's perfectly cooked with an incredible crunch on the outside, while staying moist and juicy on the inside. The spices are absolutely delicious! I've been here over 15 times, and the consistency has always been amazing every single visit. The baked beans are also the best I've ever had. The French fries are seasoned perfectly with a great crunch while still having a fluffy texture inside. ‍Service: 6/5 The service at Gus's is top tier. Every server treats each table like they're the most important customers in the building. Special shoutout to Daisy -- the last few times I've visited, she has been my server, and she remembers me every time. She even knows my order by heart now! She is genuinely one of the nicest and best servers I've ever had at any restaurant. Atmosphere: 5/5 I absolutely love the vibes at Gus's. I always feel right at home whenever I walk in. The design and menu perfectly match the restaurant's personality, and the place is always clean with plenty of comfortable seating. Value: 5/5 The prices and portions are both an A+ for me. I ordered extra food this time, but you can easily get a fantastic and affordable meal here. Final Thoughts I absolutely love Gus's, and it will forever be one of my go-to spots before going to a movie. This is some of the best fried chicken you will ever have -- if not #1, then easily Top 3 of all time. Bring your family, let Daisy take care of you, and enjoy an incredible meal! FEAST Overall Rating: 6/5 Would I Go Back?: Forever and always -- I'll keep coming back

Despite all the accolades, I must respectfully dissent. Tried Gus's today after wanting to go for…read moresome time. The chicken was good -- just not next level or great. I felt it was kind of tough and not crispy enough. Like a dark, over-fried version. Sides were okay. I like that they had collard greens. Goes well with chicken. Overall: Seems way overhyped. I like CM Chicken better. For Southern style, I've had better as well.

My stepmom got the pancakes and the portions were huge, my dad got the steak, and I ordered the loaded tots which were easily big enough to be a full meal. Service was great and everyone working there was really friendly. The ambience isn't anything special, but for a quick comfort food stop, it's definitely worth it.

My server was super nice and attentive so that was a plus. I sort of feared that my meal was going to end up in utter disaster, after I ordered what was supposed to be a caesar salad. You can see from my pictures, it's not. I don't even think it was Romaine, I think it was butter lettuce, but the lettuce was so warm and limp, it was like somebody left the salad on their dashboard with the sun beating down on it. No croutons, which was nice because I don't eat them anyways but at this point I'm starting to get skeptical because I just spent Texas Roadhouse type money on a truck stop diner. I got the surf and turf with sauteed shrimp and broccoli. I got to say, the steak, even though it was a dollar store steak, the cook made it perfectly for me, I ordered rare, and that's what I got. I hate to desecrate beef, but I had to season her up with a little bit of A1 steak sauce. I'm not overly disappointed, I knew what I was walking into, I just wanted to try something different than what I typically get at this place. But I do know the cook knows his stuff. I would eat here again though. It was decent, but I wouldn't recommend dropping $26 on the surf and turf. ***DISCLAIMER*** This pure, uncut, honest review is federally protected under Federal Law by way of Bill #EO14149.
