So I was requested to contact Cracker Barrel online or in person with my review. Finally after holidays etc, I got around to it today. I prefer to speak to a real person so I called the number that the lady from Business Customer Service (Lucretia S.) provided above in her request to have me contact them. What an absolute WASTE of my time and energy! When I called, (Lucretia S. please try it sometime,) it took 2.20 mins to get to the MOST annoying repeating message EVER! "Many Thanks...." every 20 seconds or so!!! By the time I had enough, I was on the message loop call for FIFTEEN MINUTES, and heard that stupid message (and only the message) FIFTY THREE times!!! I called Thursday at 1pm.

You always know your in a Cracker Barrel restaurant by the antiques displayed and the comfort food. Stop by one today and try their hash brown casserole, or their new Biscuit Beignets. Follow me on Yelp for more places to eat, and shop in Knoxville and East Tennessee.

Met some friends the day after Christmas right when they opened for breakfast. We were seated very quickly and greeted by our server. She was very sweet and took our orders in a timely manner after bringing our drinks. My chicken fried chicken was hot and fresh. I love their hash brown casserole so that never disappoints. My friend's order was wrong so we got to keep the extra order of pancakes. The server took care to replace her French Toast order immediately.

A friend chose Cracker Barrel for her 85th birthday dinner, and her only other wish was to sit near the fire on this chilly winter evening. She ordered the trout dinner with sides, preceded by a Bloody Mary cocktail that she called her "adult beverage." My dinner included fried chicken, green beans and hashed brown casserole. Both her fish and my crispy, tender chicken more than met our expectations. The green beans tasted delicious, however, the potato casserole was room temperature at best and not piping hot as I had hoped. (I couldn't eat coldish potatoes.) Our young server did a great job delivering the food and periodically checking on us. Little did I know that Cracker Barrel cooks up a host of mouth-watering dinner meals and specials, one for every night of the week. And it serves house wine, Mimosas and Mary's for those who crave an "adult beverage." Another friend suggested we return for the turkey dinner with stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy. "It's bomb," she said.

Visited 2/12/2020 First time and most likely the only time. Tried this place because I kept hearing the fried chicken was good. Well the chicken was tasty I'll give it that. Not the best ever but not bad. Mashed potatoes with the white country gravy were just OK. The gravy was very under seasoned. The steamed cabbage side was terrible. It was very over cooked to the point of being extremely mushy and needed some seasoning. The corn muffins lacked in flavor. The regular biscuit was ok but flavorless. The fried shrimp was lots of bread not much shrimp. Hush puppies were tasty. The salad was fresh and crisp. Sadly the soda had a strange flavor like the soda guns need cleaning. The staff was very nice and services as quite good. All in All I can only give this experience a 2 1/2 to 3 STARS. Sorry.

Who doesn't love Cracker Barrel? I can't think of even one time That I've had a bad meal here. Everything on the menu is fresh and yummy. Probably my most favorite breakfast item is the Grandma's breakfast with either peach or blueberry pancakes. Today I got the peach and boy were they yummy! And the sausage patties are smokin good too

Only my second time at a Cracker Barrel and always a treat! Had the Oldtimer's breakfast and a side salad to add some good nutrients. Was a huge meal, and could only eat half of my meal. I do wish the gravy was a little more flavorful and biscuits fluffier, but still good. The hash brown casserole was my favorite. Service is always great and prices are always right!

Shoutout to our server Brandon who took extremely good care of us and even remembered each of our names after checking our ID's for drinks. For apps we started with the crab rangoon dip and guacamole. The crab dip didn't have a lot of crab but it was cheesy, warm, and paired perfectly with the wonton chips. The guacamole was good, but the chips could've used some salt. Entree wise the shrimp and grits was great, but it was the smallest amount of grits I've ever gotten in a dish. The shrimps were cooked perfectly though. In general the entrees looked smaller than other restaurants but felt it was the perfect size to not be overly full. We ordered all three desserts and they were all yummy in their own way. I love banana pudding, this one had a kick of bourbon. The panna cotta wasn't too heavy on the coconut flavor and was creamy. The beignets were warm and so good as well! If I were in the area I would definitely be back for brunch!

I ordered The Farmer, a chicken biscuit with cheese, bacon, and apple butter. The biscuit was warm and fresh, the bacon was crispy, and the chicken patty was quite substantial. The poor thing was drowning in apple butter though, which made it too wet (and too sweet). Even scraping some of it off it was already too soggy. A tad less sauce and it would be perfectly balanced. The smashbrowns had a nice crisp and I enjoyed the kick of the pepper jam. Also, big fan of the cute coffee bar. I could taste the hints of maple in the coffee. If I have to eat out for breakfast, Maple Street seems to be a good choice. And yes, this location is on Kingston Pike not Maple Street.

Unfortunate for me though, I had to sit right under an air conditioning duct. I bet that the gentlemen were wishing that it was my girlfriend who had that seat. (I think you get the points.) Our meals were as fresh as can be, and tasty too. We had no problem cleaning our plates. It was fairly crowded when we got there. But if you don't mind sharing a table, you'll find a spot for sure. There's outside seating if you like. Quick Tip: Get there early, or get there late, cause if you get there during prime chow down, you'll be lucky to find a seat. Even the cold zone will be occupied. You may want to wear a bra....Just in case.

My server was super nice and attentive so that was a plus. I sort of feared that my meal was going to end up in utter disaster, after I ordered what was supposed to be a caesar salad. You can see from my pictures, it's not. I don't even think it was Romaine, I think it was butter lettuce, but the lettuce was so warm and limp, it was like somebody left the salad on their dashboard with the sun beating down on it. No croutons, which was nice because I don't eat them anyways but at this point I'm starting to get skeptical because I just spent Texas Roadhouse type money on a truck stop diner. I got the surf and turf with sauteed shrimp and broccoli. I got to say, the steak, even though it was a dollar store steak, the cook made it perfectly for me, I ordered rare, and that's what I got. I hate to desecrate beef, but I had to season her up with a little bit of A1 steak sauce. I'm not overly disappointed, I knew what I was walking into, I just wanted to try something different than what I typically get at this place. But I do know the cook knows his stuff. I would eat here again though. It was decent, but I wouldn't recommend dropping $26 on the surf and turf. ***DISCLAIMER*** This pure, uncut, honest review is federally protected under Federal Law by way of Bill #EO14149.
