I used to go to their Lomita location (which has since become a different restaurant), and I remember the burgers being served on brioche buns that really stood out in taste. I'm a big fan of fresh-made burgers rather than fast-food style places, and I don't mind paying a bit more for something made fresh. Their menu has great options overall, and the lunch box is a solid value for the price. The homemade onion rings are especially good. The only issue I consistently have with this location is the fries. I've never received crispy fries here. There is now an option to request "crispy / well-done" fries when ordering online, but it doesn't apply to all menu items, and it still doesn't seem consistent. What I usually receive are soft, oily fries that end up tasting more like steamed potatoes, which I personally can't enjoy. I don't think most people would prefer fries served that way over crispy ones, so I really hope they can improve on this part of the menu.

I especially liked that they used very thinly shredded cheddar instead of those huge, thick strands of cheese that can get chalky once they cool down. Now the burger--the bun was nicely toasted, the lettuce had a good fresh crunch, tomato seemed fresh, pickles were good, and most importantly, the meat actually tasted like MEAT. It had plenty of flavor and was a very solid burger overall. My only knock is that I personally love a burger with that crispy, griddled texture around the edges. This one wasn't really crispy and was actually a tiny bit on the softer/mushier side. On a second visit, I tried a more tried-and-true option, a cheeseburger and fries. Overall, the burger was average. However, the bottom bun had become so stale that it had turned crusty. The fries were average - I used a little bit of ketchup and had no regrets. One other item worth mentioning is their pricing. They need to form some consistency. For example, my "cheesesteak" sandwich on the menu was priced at $10.99, my receipt showed $14.99, and the online price was $18.74. I had similar issues with my cheeseburger.
