This Steve's Burgers is better than other locations and better than other hamburger stands. Their Pastrami is thin sliced, juicy and delicious. The Chili Fries are a step above all others. I don't know why other burger joints do not use the same chili, but you can taste the difference. The service was very quick and the employee was very polite. The next customer didn't know what to order, so he suggested menu items for them and they were pleased. This is a regular burger joints, but the food quality and service was a few steps above others. Mainly for nostalgic purposes I'm giving this establishment a stellar rating. The hospitality is always perfect and the food always delivers. I do miss when they used to have a little arcade game corner but things gotta change with the times i'm sure. I remember playing hooky from school with my mom as a kid and coming here for breakfast burritos or jr cheeseburgers and chili fries. First time to Steve's and it was spontaneous, watching a fuggly Cybertruck pull into this location and seeing "char-broiled burgers" and "pastrami" on one sign. Prices are (to me) a bargain and everything listed on the menu looked appealing. I ordered the pastrami burger combo. Fries were fluffy inside and crispy outside. Not overly salted. The burger patty was nicely medium well, with charred edges. Bun was soft. Fresh onion, lettuce, tomato and pickle slices. All piled strategically so the bun doesn't disintegrate and this thick buggah was stuffed into a paper "diaper" so nothing leaks out. It was awesome delight to eat. read more

Was in desperate need of a turkey burger in Torrance. So I pulled up, and not all burger places serves turkey burgers but they do so I was immediately a fan instantly. What made me even more of a fan was that the turkey burger I ordered was absolutely delicious. Got mine with cheese, grilled onions, and pickles. It was truly delightful. My cashier was nice. After my medical appointment, I was looking for someplace on the way home to pick up lunch. I always drive by Steve's but haven't stopped there in decades. My mother in law used to talk about how good their pastrami was so I figured I'd give them a try. The pastrami was pretty decent, not overly salty and very tender although a bit smallish for the price. Their onion rings were the best I've had in a while. Crispy without being burnt and free from that taste of other burger joints that never seem to change the oil in their fryer. These were just right. Service was friendly and quick. Parking is plentiful so no problems there. I'm curious to see how their burgers and other items are. If only they had a drive thru. read more

Food was expensive mediocre as hell. Basic food you can get from any local spot paid 18$ for a sandwich and unseasoned fries. The customer service isn't great. For all the variety, the menu on the wall is easy to follow. Good variety for breakfast, Mexican and American sandwiches and burgers. I noticed that they have a lot of different types of burgers. Turkey burger, pastrami burger, they even have a taco burger? What is that? Service wasn't bad and I received my food pretty fast. On the drive home the smell of the fries wasn't that appealing, and I was right. There are no seasoning on their fries at all. I definitely asked for a bacon cheeseburger but I didn't get bacon on my burger at all. The burger itself was alright. It didn't have that classic burger taste that I was looking for.
