Hello I haven't been to Chickie's & Pete's in a while. Their food is so scrumptious and they have crab legs. I would highly recommend Chickie's & Pete's to anyone. Crab fries are always a must. They have amazing crab legs if you want to splurge. The hot shrimp is usually my favorite, this time they were overcooked. Clams are great but the muscles are a hit or miss. Always love their original pie that has the best marinara on top of the cheese. Great chill go to spot! read more

So I was on the way home from a business trip and needed a snack and a cold one. It was midafternoon. As I was going by the crab fries were calling me and I whipped into the lot. I remembered that this location was formally a Ninety Nine but the remodel is quite nice. I sat at the bar and ordered the requisite crab fries and a draft. I chatted with a friendly bartender for the short wait before the fries arrived. Out came a huge portion and they were hot and fresh and crispy and of course they were served with the two tubs of cheese sauce for dipping. It's not as good as the one downtown, but a nice option for the suburbs. If you are looking for a good meal... This probably isn't the place. Of you want something fried and salty... Welcome. Just had an early dinner...what a disappointment. The place was practically empty yet it took forever for a waitress to come over. When our order was taken it was at least 30 min+ for a burger and chicken cutlet. We also ordered an app of onion rings...they were overcooked and had a fishy taste to them...like they were fried in the same oil as the seafood. The food was lackluster at best....not to mention it was warm in the area we were seated in...the vestibule was colder! This used to be a favorite place to go...not anymore. I am usually a fan of this restaurant but not today. My lobster came out undercooked in the middle. The waitress took it in the back and then 10 minutes later a gentleman who never identified himself came out and said "you lobster was undercooked" and asked if I wanted another one. Never apologized. It look at least 30 minutes to bring back the replacement. The pizza we ordered took about 45 minutes to come out. In addition, our waitress barely came to our table to see if we needed anything while we were there. We asked for utensils and she must have forgot so we needed to ask someone else. This location is small compared to the other Chickie's I have been to but its not too cramped inside. Its setup pretty much the same as the other Chickie's locations. I have never been a big fan of their food and this location is no different. If you are there to have a few beers and app's its not a bad choice. I wouldn't go here for dinner. read more

Ate lunch here with a coworker and love the crab fries with the cheese sauce. On this visit, also got the blue burger, which was pretty good. My burger came out hot and cooked the way I asked for it to be done. Service started off pretty good, but got a little slow towards the end, and given that the place was pretty empty during this visit, there was really no excuse for that. You do get big glasses for your beverage, so the servers don't have to worry about refills very often. You'll find your typical American food items on the menu and not much in the way of healthy choices. Fulfilled my Chickie's craving but having been a fan of their mussels red since the early 90's when their only location was a small bar on Robbins Ave, I can tell you that the red sauce on the mussels I ordered was not the same as the original. It was a less tasty, watered down version. :( Crab fries with cheese are consistently good. Their Philly steak sandwich was good as were the wings & clams in white. Okay I never understand the hype about Chickie's and Pete's. I have gone twice (ordered only once, one single margarita, we'll talk about that later), despite my best efforts to avoid going there, because friends had wanted to go. Aside from crab fries - which in my unpopular opinion, stink - why else do people go there? They have a large beer list, sure, they have TVs, but how different is this than any of the other bars in town? If you're a non beer drinker they have a very small list of cocktails. I ordered a margarita, the bartender asked if I wanted salt or sugar, he gave me neither (so why ask?), the drink wasn't in a proper glass and it was super watered down. $9+. Don't forget the scandal surrounding them too, just do a quick google search. And none of the staff is parrricularly friendly but I guess you wouldn't be working there. Just avoid. The overpriced food and drinks are not worth the atmosphere .... nevermind the atmosphere isn't good either and it's always crowded so you'll always have to wait. You might want to update your online ordering system, because it doesn't post the correct order to the kitchen. Tried ordering a Crab Brushetta Pizza, but they only gave me the Crab Brushetta Appetizer. When I tried to explain the mix up to the hostess, she would not even listen, told me I was wrong, and just walked away. Very rude and frustrating, feeling like I got half the food for twice the price. Our waitress was an amazing!!! She made sure our food and drinks were correct. The manager on the other hand was nothing but rude. Chickies took our reservation for 8 people. I love coming here. They have everything that I love. Wings, fries, beer, burgers and seafood. The wings are very good. Just make sure you ask for extra sauce on them because if you dont they dont come out with much. The crab fries are probably the main reason people come here. Makes perfect sense. They are awesome! They always come out fresh, hot, and crispy. And the best part? They come with 2 sides of cheese. And you actually get a pretty decent amount of fries. I have a friend that always gets the crab legs and she loves them. I personally havent gotten any seafood here yet but next time I come I will. I have been here twice and they have yet to disappoint me. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. Wasn't a fan of their food. The only thing that was okay were the crab fries. I ordered the lobster roll and asked if it could be a hot roll, so toss the lobster in butter and then put it on the sandwich that way. The lady assured me they could do it and when she brought it out, I was disappointed to say the least. The top two pieces were warm, but the rest of the sandwich was ice cold. The lobster wasn't even really cooked honestly and had no flavor. The server was nice, but I wouldn't recommend this place to eat if you are looking for good seafood. 5/22/21 Its around 10:15 p.m. The bar has 12 guest. I see one bartender (Bartender A) focusing on stocking the bar (filling the cases of beer), ignores my presence. Finally another bartender (Bartender B) shows up, but she is busy serving shots to two parties. Bartender B asks me for a drink, never offers me a food menu, I had to reach for one. Eventually I get my beer and at this point don't feel comfortable ordering a food. A see Bartender A still focusing on stocking while Bartender B is running around trying to appease the rest of the guest. Bartender A has no sense of priority. Till this point I have yet to see a manager and keep in mind this is a Saturday Night!!! Later, I hear bartender A vocally complain about some guests that just left with one of the servers (other guest can hear her complain). Throughout all of this, I have never seen the manager. Crabs were ice cold and had to be sent back. Then one of the next legs was still half cold. 3 Legs were $37. Then my son had the meatball sandwich. Sauce was not very good and sandwich was like a six inch wawa sandwich for $10. The crab fries were just ok. There's nothing worse than fries that aren't nice and crispy. Interestingly enough we generally have had great experiences at Chickie's other locations, NE Philly, South Philly, etc, this place pre-Covid and post has been a big thumbs down. Most recently we sat outside, food was mediocre at best, and the bee's attacking us constantly was horrific. I get that outside dining can be tricky, but there was literally nothing in place to deal with the bee's, they have cheap, easy solutions out there, but the takeaway from the management was too bad. Asking for extra plates to cover the food from the bee's was also met with the side eye. Big thumbs down. read more

Also if you want to order online and it says it's closed, it's only because they're busy inside so you'll have to call your order in. Probably 45 to an hour wait like most places. If it were not for those things, I would not even bother with this place. Prices are too high for what you get and staff is not upbeat enough for a sports bar as popular as this one. Watching a game here is fun every once in a while, but I'd rather watch the big games at a dive bar where the liquor is cheap and the people are actually fun. Terrible service doesn't begin to describe my experience here. I sat down at the bar and it took the bartenders 35 minutes to take my beer order. Then I sat for another 20 minutes waiting for someone to take my food order. Finally I just got up and left. Staff was too busy visiting with friends at the bar and taking cigarette breaks while also breaking tons of glassware accidentally.
