Chick's is about a 20 minute drive from my office but that never stops me if I'm in the mood for a great cheese steak. It can be tough to find in the alley behind the discount divorce place, but worth the hunt. There is a pretty wide selection of sandwiches on the menu as well as some very interesting specials. It has no atmosphere and plenty of friendly service. It is packed with regulars as at least half of the folks there seemed to be on a first name basis. Chick's has to be my absolute favorite place to stop in and get a hoagie or any of their hot sandwiches. The Buffalo Chicken Cheese steak is usually my choice when ordering and if you like a spicy sandwich is very well-worth the try. Maybe I have a bias because I grew up on this stuff but I love love love the place. Tried a few different cheesesteaks and chicken cheesesteaks with my family. The sandwiches were large and delicious, and the staff is very friendly. There's not much seating, so taking the sandwiches to go would probably be your best option. Parking is a little tight as well. But the cheesesteaks make it all worth it. read more

I went to Chick's for the first time this weekend. I have lived ten minutes from this cheese steak gold mine all my life and never been in. It's in a little back alley that is very hard to find. I almost felt like I needed a secret decoder ring to enter into the secret Chick realm of hidden food delights. Once in, I nervously ordered two cheese steaks (one for me and one for my brother) with fried onions and an Italian hoagie for later. I watched the master chef make my cheese steaks while another master hoagie maker master made my Italian hoagie with hungry anticipation. I couldn't help but notice one of those old time pickle barrels and quickly snagged myself one. After paying and coming home my brother and I feasted on the delicious cheese steaks like we hadn't eaten in a week. It was by far the best cheese steak I have had in years. Now that I am in this exclusive club of tongue tasting wonders I will be back often. read more

I have not been here for a while but just finished a chicken cheese steak and enjoyed it. This would be a 5 star review , but the rolls could be better.The White House in AC and even Primo Hogies would be a better choice. The sandwich is loaded with chicken, and the flavor is very good. The red sauce ( marinara or tomato) is very tasty. I like the bread at Vito's Italian restaurant in Cherry Hill. They could be using Amaroso---not sure, but just like it better. read more

I went to this place for the cheesesteaks because I saw a spot on fox philadelphia saying how great there were, and they are. While we were there we also ordered an Italian hoagie, and it was the best Goddam hoagie I have ever had in my entire life.
