Best Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak you can get in South Jersey! Chick's doesn't look like much from the outside and is even somewhat hidden in what appears to be a secretive little alley. We order from them just for their Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteaks and take them home with us, but you can also eat inside, although it can get packed during lunch hour with limited seating. The staff has always been friendly, in person and on the phone. The Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak always comes with the freshest of ingredients and the softest of bread. Got a cheesesteak w extra cheese and fried onions. They didn't have any good side items so duh I stopped at Chik-fila for some WAFFLE fries on the way home. So I got home opened up the wrapper and was so fucking sad. There was barely ANY cheese and barely ANY onions. The meat was kinda dry and stringy. I could floss my teeth with it. I've heard about this place for a while and finally found the time to check it out. Definitely worth a try. It's hard to find, tucked back in an alley off of RT 70. The place gets packed and they use a small cook top so prepare yourself for a little bit of a wait. Cheese steaks we're outstanding, and their Italian hoagies are one of the better ones around. Cheese steaks had plenty of quality meat with good flavor and the Italians were up to par with the flavor but not the size. I will definitely return. read more

If you are known for cheesesteaks and you stop serving them at 5:30 - don't say you are open until 6! This is inaccurate and deceiving. Don't list that you are open until 6pm on both Yelp AND your menu. I walked into Chicks deli at 5:40pm and was told they are no longer serving cheesesteaks. I couldn't be more skeptical considering this place's location. I decided to order there today with a co-worker, as we were in the mood for a cheesesteak and Tony Luke's is just too far from work to make the drive. We are sooooo happy we did! You know a place is bangin when its impossible to find, yet its packed in there when you finally find it! Best cheesesteaks I've had in quite a while and everything is fresh made to order. Chick's is delicious!! I got a standard: cheesesteak with American cheese and fried onions, and wow is it good. I've tried all the big guys in Philly- Geno's, Pat's, Tony Luke's, Jim's... And I actually think I like Chick's better! Super juicy and cheesy, and a good soft roll make this cheesesteak a winner. It's cheaper than the big guys, too! My friend and I eat a cheesesteak before every Flyers game we go to see. After trying many places in Philly we decided to try a couple places in south jersey before heading over the bridge. Let's just say using the Divorce Center as a landmark and the steel bars on the windows should not deter you! Hands down one of the top 3 cheesesteaks we have ever tried (and our arteries will tell you we've tried too many). While the steak and cheese (no cheese options, it's american or bust) are on par with the best, the roll makes this sandwich shine! No soggy bread here and it is the perfect thickness. Chicken cheesesteak (we tried buffalo version) are very good as well. Make sure you get there before 5:30 or order before 5:30 when the grill is turned off! We only try a place once (unless it's really good) and we will break this rule with Chicks!!! read more

Excellent food and excellent service. Came by to pick up a cheesesteak and turkey hoagie with my 16 month year old sleeping son. The nice woman behind the counter was kind enough to take my order and offer walking the cheesesteak to my car when it was ready so my son can sleep in the car with me there. Took her up on the offer and a few minutes later she came to my window to drop off the hot sandwich. Drove home to eat lunch my folks who devoured the cheesesteak....quality steak, perfectly cut, delicious was their reaction. The turkey hoagie was also great. Ate lunch here for the first time today. I have lived a half mile from this place for almost 9 years, and just learned of its existence recently, thanks to a recent walk down the alley - LOL! I got the cheese hoagie, my husband got a cheesesteak hoagie, and we shared a side of potato salad. You order at the counter, and then they bring it out to your table. Our food arrive really quickly, and was great. Hubby was very happy with his cheesesteak. I've lived here for 14 years and would always drive by this place and never stopped in. Today I was really in the mood for a good sandwich so just decided to check it out. Very good food, was told that most of the food is home made. The potato salad was excellent, just the right amount of mayo. This place is just like the deli's I use to go to back in NY as a kid. The staff was extremely friendly, and made me and my wife's family feel like we were regulars. I would and will go back.
